Chapter 261: I Will Never Spare You
It wasn't Yuan Tiancheng.
Xiao Ye felt a pang of disappointment.
'His call won't go through, and they won't let me up. I guess I'll just wait until tomorrow.'
'After all, Yuan Tiancheng is my subordinate. It wouldn't be right to just barge in; that would be a huge slap in the face to the Yuan Family. Besides, the investigation isn't so urgent that it can't wait a little longer.'
Xiao Ye turned to leave, but the woman strode right up to him. Her eyes raked over his body with keen interest. "Hold on!"
"You're looking for Yuan Tiancheng?"
Xiao Ye was certain he had never seen her before. Moreover, the way she was looking at him made him deeply uncomfortable.
Still, he patiently replied, "That's right. I'm looking for Yuan Tiancheng."
"Yuan Tiancheng is my big brother. If you want to see him, here's what you do..."
The woman suddenly drew close, pinched a business card between two fingers, and tucked it into Xiao Ye's pocket.
Before pulling her hand back, she lightly dragged a fingernail across his pants.
"Come find me at this address tonight, and I'll take you to see Yuan Tiancheng."
Xiao Ye took out the card. On the front was a name—Yuan Tianjiao.
Below it was a phone number.
On the back was a hotel address and a room number!
Yuan Tianjiao giggled seductively, her body swaying. She lowered her voice, her gaze sultry and lingering. "That hotel is one of my assets, and the room is the presidential suite I keep booked year-round."

After she finished speaking, she actually tried to grope Xiao Ye's chest, right there in public!

She went after any young man in the company who was even remotely handsome.

'I can't believe she has this kind of thing in mind for me.' Xiao Ye was instantly repulsed.
He grabbed her wrist, his patience completely gone. "Get lost!"

Yuan Tianjiao couldn't believe it. Not only had Xiao Ye dared to stop her, but he was also cursing at her!
She froze for a few seconds before it sank in, and then she exploded with rage. "I thought you were handsome, so I gave you a chance!"

A fiery sting bloomed across Yuan Tianjiao's cheek.
She trembled with rage, then suddenly let out a shriek, pointing at Xiao Ye. "You... you just wait!"
"Security! What are you useless fools doing? Get over here!"
"Pin this bastard down! I want him carried out of here today!"
Xiao Ye's expression was glacial. "I'm here to see Yuan Tiancheng. I'd advise you not to touch me."
Yuan Tianjiao actually laughed, though it was a laugh born of fury. "A poor bastard like you? How could you possibly know anyone from my Yuan Family!"
"I was the only one foolish enough to be deceived by that pretty face! Stop making excuses. You're done for today!"
The onlooking Yuan Clan employees didn't believe him either.
"He definitely doesn't know President Yuan. Just look at him, dressed in cheap, off-brand clothes. Does he look rich to you?"
"I bet he just read about President Yuan in some financial magazine and decided to show up."
"Is he nuts or something? Does he really think President Yuan is someone you can just meet whenever you feel like it?"
Xiao Ye overheard their discussion and glanced down at his own clothes.
He had bought them at some random store after arriving in Shanghai.
It was in a less-than-upscale mall, where most clothes were priced in the tens to hundreds.
Xiao Ye wasn't picky about clothes; as long as the fabric was comfortable, he was fine.
For instance, the sweatsuit and cotton jacket he had on were both made of pure cotton, which didn't irritate his skin.
They were perfectly normal clothes, but in the eyes of the Yuan Clan employees, they were no better than cheap street-stall wares.
Before Xiao Ye could speak, the security guards arrived.
The Yuan Clan Headquarters was massive, and its security team numbered more than a dozen.
This wasn't some small-time company, and the security guards weren't just for show. Each one was broad-shouldered and powerfully built.
Many were even ex-military and had received professional training.
Yuan Tianjiao immediately pointed at Xiao Ye, her voice dripping with venom. "It's him! He actually dared to hit me!"
"Hurry up and grab him! I'm going to beat him to death myself today!"
The guards exchanged glances, thinking to themselves, 'This is your unlucky day, kid.'
'We work for the Yuan Clan, so we have to side with Yuan Tianjiao.'
As they approached, Xiao Ye's expression remained impassive.
"Kid, you should probably just come quietly. We don't want to get rough," the security captain said. As he spoke, he gave Xiao Ye a subtle look, signaling him to just play along.
'Looks like Yuan Tianjiao isn't just your average pain in the ass,' Xiao Ye thought. 'Not a single person in this company likes her.'
'Since they're showing me some goodwill, I guess I'll go easy on them.'
Seeing the guards hesitate, Yuan Tianjiao shrieked, "What are you doing? Why aren't you moving?! Hurry up! Pin him to the ground for me, now!"
"Kid, since you won't cooperate, we'll have to do this the hard way!"
With that, the captain moved in first.
Xiao Ye grabbed his arm and took him down with a shoulder throw!
Then the second, then the third...
He wasn't being rough; he was just knocking them down.
The guards knew they were no match for him. If they got back up, Yuan Tianjiao would just force them to charge again.
'Xiao Ye went easy on us just now, but that doesn't mean he will a second time.'
'We're just security guards, trying to make a living. There's no reason to get ourselves seriously hurt over this.'
