The Lin family home was quiet.

After a full week of peace, the maids of the Lin Family had let their guard down.

The meal was fully served.

She was still chewing on a dumpling.

Xiao Ye's expression faltered. "Spit it out!"

The maid, slow to react, quickly spat out the food in her mouth.

Xiao Ye darted over to her, grabbed her wrist, and confirmed his suspicion. 'She's already been poisoned!'

Luckily, he had made her spit it out in time; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Xiao Ye took out an Antitoxic Pill and handed it to the maid. "Eat this."

The maid, flustered, quickly swallowed it.

Xiao Ye had checked all the ingredients in the house, and he hadn't heard any disturbances over the past few nights.

Lin Chuyue, standing behind him, asked, "Is there something wrong with the water?"
