Chapter 87: A Life for a Life
BAM!
The man had barely finished his arrogant boast when he was sent flying!
He crashed onto a dining table, and the combined impact of his body and the shattering dinnerware blasted a large hole clean through it.
The tremendous crash startled everyone in the restaurant, and heads whipped around to see what had happened.
Xiao Ye retracted his leg and dusted off his pants in disgust.
'How dare he covet my woman? One kick is letting that piece of trash off easy!'
Lin Chuyue opened her mouth to scold Xiao Ye, but when she saw his injuries, she swallowed her words.
"Next time, don't be so ruthless."
"If you kill someone, you'll have to pay with your life."
The other guests at the man's table immediately shot to their feet and rushed over to check on him.
"Boss!"
"Boss, are you okay?!"
The man lay on the ground, his head bleeding from the fall, his breathing shallow and ragged.
He could only manage a pained gurgle, unable to even lift his arm.
The goons helping him up were furious. One of them whipped his head around and shot Xiao Ye a murderous glare.
"You're dead, kid! You dare to hurt my boss? I'll kill you!"
With that, the man grabbed a fork and lunged, aiming to stab Xiao Ye right in the eye.
His vicious expression made it clear he was going for the kill.
Xiao Ye raised a hand to block, but the man's accomplice grabbed a water glass from a table and hurled it.
Seeing that it was about to hit Lin Chuyue, Xiao Ye had no choice but to use his injured arm—still in a sling—to snatch the glass from the air and hurl it back!
CRACK!
The glass struck the man squarely on the forehead.
The force of the impact shattered the glass and knocked the man out cold.
Meanwhile, Xiao Ye's other hand had already caught the fork just inches from his eye. With a flick of his wrist, he plunged it into his attacker's shoulder.
"ARGH!"
A bloodcurdling scream tore through the air.
The onlookers scrambled back, their faces pale with fright at the bloody scene.
The restaurant manager saw this and began to panic. Not daring to get close, he could only shout from a distance, "Stop! Stop it this instant!"
"That's the Crown Prince of Wanfeng! Are you trying to get yourselves killed?!"
Lin Chuyue's expression turned icy. She was clearly the victim, yet the restaurant staff was siding with the aggressors.

"I am willing to compensate President Lin for her emotional distress!" President Shan said through gritted teeth. "That should be enough, right?"
"It seems you aren't sincere in admitting your mistake. We have already collected evidence. They attempted to assault someone first. I will have my legal department do its best to secure a prison sentence."
With that, Lin Chuyue stood up. "We're leaving."
Xiao Ye followed behind, glancing back just in time to meet President Shan's venom-filled gaze.
'His son was the one in the wrong, yet instead of showing any remorse, he hates us for it.'
'The Wanfeng Group. It's time for them to go bankrupt!'
Their perfectly good meal ruined by the Wanfeng Group, Lin Chuyue had lost her appetite. She and Xiao Ye returned to the Lin Family estate.
