Chapter 53: President Li, Marry Me
There was no morning meeting today.
Chen Dong turned on his computer, logged into the game, and ate some snacks while sipping his tea.
He skillfully pulled up the leaderboards. As expected, he had been surpassed by many others.
Chen Dong didn't care anymore. After being provoked by those relatives from the Liang Family, he'd seen how other people spent money.

It was still early and FleetingJoy hadn't logged on yet, so Chen Dong got busy converting his money into combat power.

Chen Dong snorted, shut down his computer, and prepared to head to the Jiangzhou Hotel to treat An Ruoling.
After yesterday's events, Chen Dong felt Wang Hao's driving skills weren't half bad, so he grabbed the slacking Wang Hao to act as his chauffeur.
They arrived at the Jiangzhou Hotel's parking lot. Wang Hao knew Chen Dong was going upstairs to treat An Ruoling, and waiting around during the treatment was incredibly boring. He told Chen Dong to call him when he was ready to leave, then went off to amuse himself.
Chen Dong got out of the car. After just a few steps, he noticed Li Huiran's Ferrari parked nearby and couldn't help but feel a little curious.
He was about to call and ask, but he pulled out his phone only to put it back.
He had spotted Li Huiran and her four bodyguards waiting for the elevator. 'They must have just arrived, too,' he thought.
Chen Dong walked over and, deliberately altering his voice, said, "Hey beautiful, here to get a room?"
Li Huiran, who had been looking down and lost in thought, was startled by the voice next to her. She was about to look up and warn the man off, while also scolding her bodyguards for not alerting her to his approach, but when she looked up, she saw it was Chen Dong.

Chen Dong froze. 'What does she mean by that? Aren't I her husband?'
'Then again, she's not wrong. She really is here behind my back.'
Seeing Chen Dong's dumbfounded expression, Li Huiran smiled sweetly and said, "I have a meeting with a major materials supplier from Tianjiang City. We're talking business."
Just then, the elevator arrived, and the group stepped inside.
Inside the elevator, Chen Dong and Li Huiran stood facing each other.
Li Huiran asked, "What are you here for?"
"To see a patient."
Then, they fell into silence.
DING. The elevator arrived. A handsome, impeccably dressed young man approached them, accompanied by a young and beautiful secretary.
The man said with a smile, "President Li, hello! I was just about to go down and greet you. I didn't expect you'd already be here."
Li Huiran exchanged pleasantries as well, "President An, hello!"
Chen Dong's brow twitched. He could see thick lust in the man's eyes. 'He's from Tianjiang City and his surname is An, too,' he mused. 'I wonder what his relationship is to An Ruoling?'
An Junxian extended his right hand. "Everyone says President Li's beauty is the talk of Jiangzhou, enough to topple cities. Now that I've seen you in person, I feel they've understated it, been too reserved."
Li Huiran also extended her right hand for a brief shake. "President An, you're too kind. You are also quite the handsome and dashing gentleman."
Just then, Li Huiran's brow furrowed slightly. As she withdrew her hand, not only had it been caressed, but An Junxian had also deliberately grazed her palm with his finger.
Li Huiran instantly lost all confidence in this meeting. This An Junxian clearly had ill intentions.
That little scene, of course, did not escape Chen Dong's eyes. He had been planning to go treat An Ruoling, but now he wasn't in a hurry. He decided to go and see how Li Huiran's meeting went first.
The group arrived at a private room.

Li Huiran's expression turned serious. "President An, you must be joking."
An Junxian stared at Li Huiran obsessively. "President Li, marry me! As long as you marry me, the An Family and the Li Family will become one. Then, of course, it won't cost a single cent."
Li Huiran never expected An Junxian to say something like this.
Her tone grew colder. "President An, I'm already married. Let's just talk about the price."
How could An Junxian not know whether she was married or not? He had specifically investigated Li Huiran. The Li Group was in a great position right now, but they were being strangled by Liu Qi. And his An Corporation was a perfect match for the Li Group—one was a building materials company, the other a construction company. 'What win-win?' Chen Dong saw that this man was mostly just blinded by lust. So, he said to Li Huiran, "There's no need to talk anymore. Let's go back."
An Junxian roared in anger, "Who the hell do you think you are? I'm talking business with your President Li. What gives you the right to butt in?"
