Divine Wilderness Dragon Emperor

Chapter 48: No One Accepts the Challenge

"Instructor Ruo Huan, I'm terribly sorry. I... uh... I accidentally used my full strength."

Seeing that he had directly blasted Pang Cheng off the Martial Arts Testing Platform, Ling Fei scratched his head and spoke with some embarrassment.

With that last strike, he had truly injured Pang Cheng.

But as soon as the words left his mouth, Ling Fei felt a pang of regret.

'Because I didn't actually use my full strength at all.'

'I really did go easy on him!'

'It's not my fault Pang Cheng got hurt!'

'Who's to blame for him being so weak?' Ling Fei muttered under his breath.

However, when he recalled the murderous looks on his classmates' faces after he'd said he went easy on them, Ling Fei decided to keep his mouth shut.

He was afraid his classmate Pang Cheng would suddenly spit up blood, just like his classmate Tie Jun had.

However, the people below the platform no longer wore resentful expressions.

The crowd stared at Ling Fei as if they were looking at a monster, or at a chosen one of heaven.

In their eyes, there was only respect, no longer any resentment or contempt.

At this moment, no one saw Ling Fei as a country bumpkin from a Humble Family anymore.

Because a moment ago, Ling Fei had clearly demonstrated an extraordinary talent.

Such talent and strength were not something an ordinary person could compare to.

The more talented they were, the more keenly they could feel the sudden aura that had erupted from Ling Fei when he struck.

That 'presence' was intimidating.

'I underestimated him!' Pang Cheng sighed inwardly as he was helped to his feet, his gaze turning to the Martial Arts Platform.

"He has the right to look down on countless geniuses," Tie Jun murmured.

"He... really was going easy on us before!" the other geniuses murmured.

Before, they had been furious at Ling Fei's words, believing he was looking down on them as geniuses.

But now, it seemed the young man had been speaking the truth, and with great sincerity. There wasn't a trace of arrogance in it at all!

"It seems... we misunderstood him?" Many of them exchanged glances, looking as though they had misjudged Ling Fei.

"Young Master Ling Fei is so handsome!" While the others were exchanging glances, some of the female students' eyes sparkled, feelings of admiration blooming in their hearts as they looked at Ling Fei.

"He's a genius," even a prodigy like Zhou Feng nodded slightly.

"To be able to comprehend 'presence' certainly makes him someone of note," Liu Ming said in a low voice.

Now, even figures like them had no choice but to look at Ling Fei in a new light.

On the Martial Arts Platform, Ling Fei's eyes shifted. "Is there anyone else who wants to spar with me?" he asked.

"Spar?" The crowd below fell silent.

Even Pang Cheng was defeated in a single blow. Who, from outside the top ten on the Human Rankings, would dare to step forward?

"No one?"

Seeing this, Ling Fei was slightly taken aback. 'Just a moment ago, these people were so aggressive, acting like they couldn't wait to get on stage and fight. Why are they all silent now?'

"Well, this is for the best. We're all classmates, so we shouldn't be challenging each other over every little disagreement. Otherwise, if I injure you, it would just hurt our friendly relations!"

Ling Fei said with a completely serious expression.

Hearing this, the people below the stage rolled their eyes.

This time, however, no one got angry.

Because this young man was truly strong. Fighting him was simply asking for a beating.

In a fight between Martial Artists of this caliber, it was perfectly normal to suffer broken bones and torn muscles.

Seeing that no student in the arena would speak up and that the crowd's mood seemed to have calmed down, Instructor Ruo Huan nodded slightly.

She naturally knew that this group of geniuses had been stunned by Ling Fei's performance.

In this world where Martial Arts flourished, strength was all that mattered.

Only with strength would others respect you.

"Does anyone else wish to spar with student Ling Fei?" Then, Instructor Ruo Huan's gaze shifted as she looked over the students.

"No one!" came the unified response from the back.

Ling Fei had defeated Pang Cheng, stunning the entire audience.

At this point, no one dared to challenge him again.

Even when Instructor Ruo Huan asked, no one answered the call.

Afterward, her gaze fell specifically on the three geniuses: Liu Ming, Zhou Feng, and Pang Fei.

These three were absolute chosen ones of heaven, each with limitless potential.

If anyone in the Genius Class could fight Ling Fei, it would likely only be these few.

That was why Instructor Ruo Huan looked toward them.

It seemed she, too, was eager to see who was stronger and who was weaker between Ling Fei and these geniuses.

Seeing Instructor Ruo Huan's gaze land on these three geniuses, the other students immediately looked over with curiosity.

However, Liu Ming wore an indifferent expression and showed no intention of making a move.

A faint smile played on Zhou Feng's lips, but he too had no intention of stepping up.

Pang Fei was expressionless, his thoughts impossible to read.

These men were all geniuses; a victory would bring them no particular benefit.

Their reputations were already great enough.

But what if they lost?

It wasn't that they lacked confidence, but that the current Ling Fei gave off an inscrutable feeling.

They weren't willing to risk their reputations.

And so, none of the three top geniuses made a move.

Seeing this, the students of the Genius Class were all somewhat disappointed.

Seeing that they weren't going to step forward, Instructor Ruo Huan could only retract her gaze.

Then, everyone's eyes turned to Ling Fei.

"Instructor, can you have student Ling Fei test his Power and Attack Power?" a student below the platform suddenly asked.

"Yes, test his Power and Attack Power!" Immediately, other students chimed in.

Since no one dared to fight him again, the only way to understand student Ling Fei's strength was through a test.

Otherwise, they would feel completely unsatisfied.

Two people had already challenged him, but neither had managed to reveal his true limits. It was too frustrating.

"Student Ling Fei, are you willing to test your strength?" Instructor Ruo Huan asked, a faint smile gracing her lips as she looked at him.

"Test my strength?" Ling Fei's eyes showed his curiosity. "How?"

He felt a certain anticipation for this as well.

Back in Longtan Town, he could only test his Power using stone plinths.

"There is a Testing Stele right over there," Instructor Ruo Huan said, pointing to the right side of the Martial Arts Platform.

And there, indeed, was a Testing Stele.

This stele was different from the Human Rankings; it didn't measure comprehensive strength.

It judged based on pure Power.

"Alright!" Ling Fei's gaze shifted, and he saw a Testing Stele.

He immediately strode forward and walked off the Martial Arts Platform.

Then, surrounded by the crowd, Ling Fei arrived in front of the Testing Stele.

Liu Ming, Zhou Feng, Pang Fei, and the others also watched with anticipation in their eyes.

Since they could roughly judge Ling Fei's strength without having to fight him themselves, they were naturally happy to watch.

The Testing Stele was about twelve feet tall, engraved with ancient patterns. It looked as if it were carved from Crystal Stone and emanated an obscure, rippling aura.

"Just strike with all your might, and it will test your Power," said Instructor Ruo Huan.

A Martial Artist has two kinds of Power.

First, pure physical Power.

Second, the explosive power suddenly released by using Martial Arts.

This second kind is also called explosive force!

Pure Power is the foundation, but explosive force has limitless potential.

'I'll test my pure Power first.' Ling Fei's eyes shifted as he looked at the Testing Stele.

Pure Power, displayed without relying on Martial Arts, was the simplest test of strength.

Immediately, Ling Fei gathered his strength.

His internal True Qi circulated, and the power within his very flesh and blood was mobilized.

Then, he sank into a horse stance and launched a punch toward the Testing Stele in front of him.

As Ling Fei's punch shot out, the students behind him widened their eyes, staring intently.

"'How many jin will his Power be?' The crowd was full of anticipation.
