Chapter 32- Deal With Things as They Come
It didn’t take long for Xai Lin and An Mo to reach the stream where they had first met.
Standing by the stream next to Xai Lin, An Mo swept his golden gaze across the void above the stream and saw the faint spatial fluctuations. After furrowing his brows, he held Xai Lin’s hand and asked.
“Are you sure there won’t be any problems using these fluctuations to leave? Maybe we should use that teleportation token to teleport somewhere else?”
An Mo turned his head and looked at Xai Lin with a worried expression.
In response, Xai Lin smiled and said.
“If we were to use the teleportation token without using these fluctuations, it might take us to another Human Realm. But I still have a few treasures I want to obtain in the Azura Cloud Realm, so I don’t want to leave for the time being.”
“Wait, does that mean, the teleportations’ are random? Can’t you control them?”
An Mo asked in surprise, and Xai Lin shook her head.
Seeing her response, An Mo felt a bit anxious.
This anxiety came from the fact that they were likely running headfirst into danger, but he didn’t know how dangerous their situation would be, so he could only speculate about the worse outcome. Like accidentally stumbling upon some old monster who had come out of seclusion.
After all, his Legacy Memories told him human cultivators love hiding away in mountain caves in their Clans and Sects, only to pop up to scare people later on. So, a warning was issued for him to avoid Immortal Sects and Clans, as they were forbidden locations for beast like them.
From what that human named Sikong said, his Sect was an Immortal Sect called the Earthly Spear Immortal Sect.
What if some old monster came out of seclusion after hearing that someone infiltrated their Secret Realm, and was waiting for them on the other side?
Seeing An Mo’s anxiousness, Xai Lin shook their clasp hands and said.
“What are you worrying for? With your abilities combined with my Heavenly Transformation Technique, even if several Soul Emergence Realm cultivators surround us, we could escape. Even if a Soul Transformation Realm expert pop out, our chances of escape wouldn’t be less than eighty percent.”
“But what if we encounter human cultivators in the Soul Severing Realm, or even the Heavenly Law Realms? I admit my abilities are unique, but I haven’t reached the point where I can use them proficiently to escape from such existences.”
“The Heavenly Law Realms?”
Xai Lin stared at An Mo with a bewildered expression.
The Heavenly Law Realms were the last three realms of cultivation before one could ascend to the Immortal Realm. They were the Body Integration Realm, the Mahayana Realm, and the Heavenly Tribulation Realm.
The previous six realms were called the Soul Realms, and the Spiritual Realms. The Soul Realms being the Soul Emergence Realm, the Soul Transformation Realm, and the Soul Severing Realm, while the Spiritual Realms were the Spirit Gathering Realm, the Foundation Establishment Realm, and finally the Golden Core Realm.
After staring at An Mo for two stunned seconds of silence, Xai Lin shook her head and said helplessly.
“Why do I feel that your Legacy Memories are more outdated than I thought? At least when it comes to the Human Realm, they seemed very old.”
“What do you mean?”
An Mo looked at Xai Lin with confusion in his golden eyes as he asked.
Xai Lin sighed, then patiently explained the current situation of the Human Realm outside of the Demonic Realm.
“The Human Realm, unlike the Demonic Realm consists of several large and small realms. The smaller realms aren’t much, as they usually lack enough Spiritual Qi to accommodate cultivators so overtime, they began to mostly consist of Mortals. The larger realms, however, have abundant Spiritual Qi and stable Dao Laws. In these realms, cultivators are the majority. This is also where the Immortal Sects settle down, with weaker ones sharing a single continent, and the more powerful ones even occupying an entire realm for themselves. However, even within those Human Realms that have those powerful Immortal Sects, spotting a Soul Severing Realm expert is as rare as seeing a Divine Beast. So, do you think we would encounter those existences in the Heavenly Law Realms?”
An Mo had been listening intently to Xai Lin’s explanation, but upon hearing her last few words, he couldn’t help becoming speechless for a moment.
“That— How come it’s like this? Has no one been able to cultivate to that level in the Human Realm?”
An Mo asked this, but he himself didn’t think this was the case. Afterall, the Demonic Realm would have already invaded the Human Realm, since they had such existences.
Indeed, Xai Lin shook her head and answered.
“No, it’s not that they aren’t any experts at that level. It’s just that after reaching the Soul Severing Realm, one usually enters seclusion to break into the Body Integration Realm, and that seclusion can even last up to thousands of years. But if one succeeds in entering the Body Integration Realm, that means they have the potential to reach the Heavenly Tribulation Realm and eventually strive for Ascension.”
With only those words An Mo finally understood.
“Oh, I understand! Only a fool would enter the Body Integration Realm, then leave seclusion to frolic among lower-level cultivators. Instead, most would cast aside worldly affairs and focus on cultivation.”
Xai Lin nodded.
“That’s right, every Soul Severing Realm expert is striving to enter the Body Integration Realm, and every expert in the Body Integration Realm and above is striving for Ascension. Which one of those experts would waste time dealing with a trivial matter such as a thief sneaking into one of their many Secret Realms? Even those at the Soul Transformation Realm wouldn’t make a move unless it involves someone of the same realm.”
An Mo couldn’t help but scratch his head awkwardly when he heard that. No wonder Xai Lin had looked at him so strangely before; someone thinking of seeing an existence in the Heavenly Law Realms was practically lacking in common sense.
Though it couldn’t be blamed on An Mo, after all, such existences for him were his older brothers and sisters. And even though he hadn’t met those extremely powerful ones in the High-level Dimensional Fold, he had briefly interacted with them once and was then trapped in the Low-level Dimensional Fold by them.
“Okay, it seems I was worrying too much.”
An Mo said, having recovered from his embarrassment.
Xai Lin chuckled and then asked.
“So, are you ready?”
An Mo went to nod but then stopped.
“Ah, wait! Even if we won’t encounter those existences, we should still make a plan, right?”
Xai Lin thought for a moment, then shook her head and explained.
“We don’t know the situation on the other side, so our plan won’t be able to keep up with the changes. We should just deal with things as they come.”
