Chapter 147: Vivian Lowell’s Hidden Identity
Designer Jacobs’s face was flushed, and he was extremely agitated.
The moment he got the microphone, he pointed at Vivian Lowell and demanded, "Vivian Lowell, why are you sitting in Miss Nox’s seat?"
"Didn’t you say Miss Nox would be here tonight? So where is she? Don’t tell me you were just putting on an act?"
"I previously discovered that you plagiarized Miss Nox’s work and posted the evidence online, but you never responded."
"Today, with so many members of the media present, perhaps you can finally give us a response?"
Designer Jacobs’s every word was sharp.
After he finished speaking,
the people in the audience couldn’t help but start murmuring amongst themselves again.
That’s right.
This was a key point of tonight’s press conference. They had been so preoccupied with watching the loving display between Vivian Lowell and Julian Faulkner that they’d almost forgotten about it!
The media members all pricked up their ears.
To be honest,
after seeing how good the relationship between Vivian Lowell and Julian Faulkner was, they were actually a little afraid for the blunt Designer Jacobs.
’How could he be so direct?’
’Vivian Lowell is the wife of the President of the Faulkner Group. Her status is no small matter. If you talk like that and anger President Faulkner, how will you survive in this industry?’
At this thought, the media members became even more cautious.
’We absolutely can’t ask questions recklessly. We have to constantly remind ourselves of Vivian Lowell’s status.’
Vivian Lowell, however, was composed.
She had already considered all the possible scenarios she might face when she called this press conference. Faced with Designer Jacobs’s questions...
Vivian Lowell didn’t beat around the bush.
She pulled a pin from her pocket, fastened it directly onto her chest, then took the microphone and said to everyone before her, "When I first arrived, a member of the media pointed something out to me."
"He said I was in the wrong seat, that I had accidentally sat in Miss Nox’s spot. I didn’t react at the time, so he probably thought I didn’t hear him. In fact, I did."
Vivian Lowell paused mid-sentence and glanced at that particular media member.
The expression on the man’s face turned to one of shock. Many others glanced at him as well before Vivian Lowell continued, "The reason I’m sitting here is actually very simple."
"I am the Miss Nox you’ve all been talking about. And this pin I just took from my pocket and put on my chest—you all see it."
"It happens to be the pin that the International Designers Association issues to its members. If any of you are familiar with it, you might be able to recognize it."
After she finished speaking, Vivian Lowell leaned forward slightly and sat up straighter. This made it more convenient for those who wanted to get a clearer view or a better shot of the pin on her clothes.
Sure enough.
Most of the media members present were very professional. Many were familiar with the International Designers Association and recognized the pin Vivian Lowell was wearing at a glance.
Even those who hadn’t been clear on the details before would have done their homework in advance after being invited to the press conference.
"It really is the pin from the International Designers Association. Oh my god... Is Vivian Lowell really the legendary, famous Miss Nox? This is unbelievable!"
"I know, right? But... wait a minute! My notes say that the time Miss Nox joined the International Designers Association coincides perfectly with when Miss Lowell was studying abroad. The timelines match up."
"Then it’s most likely true! This is incredible! We all thought any Veridian who could join the association would have to be more experienced, probably much older. I can’t believe Miss Lowell achieved it at such a young age!"
"Isn’t that the truth? What did I say before? Miss Lowell is young and promising, with a limitless future! President Faulkner has excellent taste, marrying someone like her."
"Wow! With this powerhouse union, does this mean the Faulkner Group will enter the design industry? If that happens, it’ll completely shake things up, won’t it?"
Many people were discussing it.
The majority of them now believed that Vivian Lowell was indeed Nox.
After all,
a press conference of this magnitude had a huge audience. It would be very difficult for Vivian Lowell to fake something like this.
Besides, the International Designers Association wasn’t some minor organization. Vivian Lowell was a designer herself. If she was caught faking her identity, it would be almost impossible for her to survive in the entire design world.
There was simply no need for her to do so.
Given Vivian Lowell’s current status and her marriage alliance with the Faulkner Family, she could attract plenty of clients in the future just by relying on Julian Faulkner’s help.
The risk of falsely claiming the identity was far too great.
But if it was true...
With the title of "Veridia’s only young female designer to join the International Designers Association," Vivian Lowell would be able to attract countless investors in the future.
Foreign brands looking to enter the Veridian market would most likely seek her out for design collaborations!
After analyzing the pros and cons, the scene erupted.
Many people grew curious about how Vivian Lowell had joined the International Designers Association in the first place, and why she had kept such a huge accomplishment hidden until now.
She was just too low-key!
You have to understand.
When a designer from Veridia was able to join the International Designers Association, many people in the industry were not only curious but also incredibly proud.
It showed that someone from Veridia could also produce the kind of imaginative, boundary-pushing designs that foreigners were so proud of!
Gaining recognition from those "proud" foreigners was incredibly difficult, but one of their own had succeeded!
"As for how I joined the International Designers Association..."
Vivian Lowell couldn’t help but chuckle and shake her head. It seemed she would have to tell this humblebrag of a story one more time in front of all the media.
"It was just a coincidence."
Vivian Lowell said with a helpless expression, "Because I was still a student at the time, I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. My alma mater, Aethelburg University, is a very solemn institution."
"I hoped the students there could focus on their studies, guard against arrogance and impatience, and not become restless or overambitious because of things like this."
Vivian Lowell’s words were beautifully spoken.
There was also a media member in the audience who had graduated from Aethelburg University. The moment they heard Vivian Lowell mention their alma mater, a sense of school pride surged within them.
"Sob... I’m so happy that our Aethelburg University has such an outstanding graduate like you! Vivian... we Aethelburg grads are so proud of you!"
After speaking, the media member couldn’t help but wipe away their tears.
Another media person next to her was also moved by the scene and quickly captured it on camera, deciding to feature it prominently in their report later.
’Vivian Lowell: Aethelburg University’s Outstanding Graduate.’
’This should make for a great news story, right?’
