There were no dark clouds in the night sky, only moonlight, starlight, and wind. The landscape below was like a clear lake. Wind swept across it, sending waves rippling through the trees. The tongue approached Yu Xian's bubble at a speed Yu Xian could not react to at all, only to stop right before striking it, less than a centimeter away.
Yu Xian’s eyes widened as he stared at the enormous tongue in terror. Only when he realized that the Dragon King Golden Toad had no intention of attacking him did he come back to his senses and notice that a blade was stuck to the creature's tongue.
