Chapter 34: Two Hearts
Yu Xian felt as though he had been plunged into a boundless sea of chaos. He flailed his arms and legs, desperately trying to scatter the surrounding chaos, but no matter how hard he tried, it was useless. As soon as he cleared a path through one patch of chaos, more rushed in to take its place in an endless, infinite loop. Exasperated, he thrashed about wildly, wishing he had an axe in hand so he could split everything apart with a single swing.
Among vampires, there existed an exceedingly rare ability that allowed one to read a target's memories by drinking their blood. Aside from the progenitor of the Blood Race, only two vampires in the entire bloodline had ever awakened this ability.
This ability could not be awakened through the passage of time. If it did awaken, it could only happen the moment one became a vampire. It couldn't be acquired afterward.
Yu Xian and Nora's cousin, who had also become drunk on blood after drinking it, actually possessed a lesser, incomplete version of this ability. Because of it, when they fell into a dazed, intoxicated state after drinking blood, they could faintly sense fragments of information within the blood. However, once they regained their senses, they would completely forget everything.
When Yu Xian drank the Blood of Pangu, this incomplete ability became whole. At the same time, he received a massive influx of information contained within the Blood of Pangu. His physiology, already fundamentally different from that of a normal vampire, hurtled down an even more abnormal path at breakneck speed.
Back in the room, Yu Xian stood rooted to the spot, swaying gently from side to side. Suddenly, a blood-red bubble popped out from his head, detaching from his body to float in midair. Then, one bubble after another manifested in rapid succession, completely enveloping him.
Jin Sheng cautiously took a step back. He knew Yu Xian was prone to getting blood-drunk, but the last time it happened, the young man was simply knocked out cold. Jin Sheng had assumed this time would be no different, but clearly, something had gone off script.
Right then, Yu Xian waved his hands in a chaotic, disorganized fashion, as if trying to banish something away. A bizarre scene followed. The bubbles surrounding Yu Xian began to change. They gradually shifted from a simple blood-red hue into a riot of colors. The newly formed bubbles in particular were vividly brilliant, completely losing the dark and sinister aura of Blood Energy.
Yu Xian leaned backward and fell into one of the bubbles. Inside it, he drifted off into a deep sleep. The bubble carrying him did not fall to the ground. Instead, it floated freely in the air. Countless other bubbles gathered around it, slowly revolving in orbit.
Jin Sheng was speechless. No matter how he looked at it, Yu Xian did not resemble a normal vampire in the slightest. In fact, he currently exuded an indescribable sense of sacred sanctity.
He waited for a good while, but seeing that Yu Xian was showing no sign of waking up, he slowly stepped forward. Coating his hand in golden light, he softly touched one of the floating bubbles.
The texture of the bubble was extremely peculiar. He had expected it to feel like glass, plastic, or perhaps a smooth gemstone, but in reality, it felt more like touching the energy barrier that sealed off space when a formation was activated.
He applied more force. The bubble didn't deform at all, so he dialed up his strength bit by bit, gradually ramping it up from Insect rank. It wasn't until he reached Sparrow-rank strength that the bubble showed a faint ripple. And only when he reached Serpent-rank did it finally begin to distort.
Jin Sheng’s expression turned serious as he gradually raised his strength to Eagle rank. The bubble trembled violently. If he added even a little more force, it would likely burst.
He withdrew his hand, choosing not to test it any further. This ability held immense potential. If Yu Xian continued to grow stronger, this could very well become a formidable defensive ability.
Jin Sheng was deeply curious about what was actually happening to Yu Xian right now. If this is similar to a drunken stupor, what on earth is the boy witnessing in his dreams to conjure up such an eccentric ability?Forget it! I should just let him sleep it off.
Shaking his head, Jin Sheng turned around and walked out of the room. Outside, Zhang Shou was standing guard by the door. Seeing Jin Sheng open the door, he quickly stepped aside, his small eyes trying to steal a glance into the room.
Jin Sheng looked at him. "You can go in, but Salted Fish is asleep. Don't disturb him."
Zhang Shou nodded and slipped inside. When he saw Yu Xian surrounded by a kaleidoscope of multi-colored bubbles, sound asleep inside one of them, a random question popped into his head. Are these bubbles airtight? If they don't let air through, isn't Yu Xian going to suffocate?

After a full night of deep sleep, Yu Xian woke up feeling completely refreshed, accompanied by an indescribable, almost miraculous sensation. He sat up, only to realize he was floating inside a multicolored bubble. Furthermore, the bubble gave him a feeling familiar to that of his Blood Energy.
Go higher!
With a simple thought, the bubble obediently drifted upward. Next, he controlled the bubble to bob up and down, before eventually letting it zip all around the room. After thoroughly familiarizing himself with the bubble, he directed it to descend to the ground and stepped out.
With a wave of his hand, he recalled all the bubbles back into his body. He lifted his right hand, and a speck of golden energy instantly materialized at the tip of his index finger. It gave rise to countless tiny bubbles. They spread out and floated in the air, spinning in accordance with his will.
"My Blood Energy seems to have mutated. It appears to have gained a spatial attribute."
Yu Xian frequently browsed through the wealth of information on the Qilin app, so he was no longer a clueless novice, ignorant of the supernatural world. Jin Sheng needed to touch the bubbles to deduce their traits, but as their master, Yu Xian could directly perceive everything about them.
These bubbles weren't floating in the air due to buoyancy; they were locked on to spatial coordinates, anchored to a specific point in space. As long as Yu Xian didn't move them and no one actively used brute force to shatter them, they would remain fixed to those coordinates forever.
When he thought back to his dream from the night before, Yu Xian's expression turned peculiar. Could it be that in my dream, I tried to create worlds, but my strength was insufficient, resulting in all those half-finished creations instead?
Strictly speaking, these bubbles were indeed independent spaces. Each one could, by a generous estimate, be considered a miniature world. And if one rounded things off a bit more, Yu Xian had successfully "created" worlds. Though, compared to the true act of creating the world, this was off by far more than just a few orders of magnitude.
After evaluating his mutated Blood Energy, Yu Xian pressed his right hand against his chest. His heart was beating. Although the rhythm was drastically slower than a normal human's, beating roughly thirty times a minute, it was undoubtedly beating.
But that raised a question. What about his abilities? He carefully sensed the changes within his body, but aside from finding himself significantly stronger, he didn't discover any new ability. That was the case, until he utilized Silver Blood to scan his chest, only to realize that a second heart had formed right inside his original one.
Sensing the heart within a heart, Yu Xian was completely dumbfounded. "I... have two hearts?"
He carefully examined the second heart and finally understood its function. A smile slowly formed on his face. Consuming the Blood of Pangu had brought him tremendous gains.
