Three Systems Made the Fake Heiress Unstoppable

Chapter 107: Chloe York Has Fangirls

The next day, Chloe York woke up the moment her alarm rang. She stared blankly for a few seconds before sitting up, getting out of bed, and washing up.

After washing up, she had breakfast and then headed to school.

While walking across campus, a few girls suddenly ran over and stopped in front of her.

"Senior, you’re so amazing! You scored over 96 in every subject on the second mock exam. We heard you’re ranked fifth in the entire grade this time!"

"Yeah, yeah, you’re just too incredible! We’ve all become your biggest fans!"

"Exactly! We really like you, Senior. You even made a bet with your homeroom teacher and won! We really admire you for that."

The girls all looked at Chloe York with excited smiles.

They had wanted to come and tell Chloe York how much they admired her for a while now. However, they knew she still had the third mock exam, so they decided to wait until it was over. Otherwise, the college entrance exams would be right around the corner, and they wouldn’t be able to approach her then either.

Once the college entrance exams were over, it would be nearly impossible to see Chloe this easily again.

’I can’t believe I have fans.’ Chloe was stunned and flattered. She gave an awkward smile. "I’m not that incredible. The person who ranked first is the truly amazing one!"

"Senior, we don’t mean anything by that. We just think you’re even better than the person in first place. Your scores were so low on the first mock exam, and now your progress on the third one has been incredible. The top student has always gotten those scores; he doesn’t have any room for improvement."

"Yeah! The top student has always been like that, with no breakthroughs. But you keep rising. You’re the one who’s truly number one." As she spoke, the girl gave a thumbs-up.

In her past life, Chloe had also been completely focused on the academic grind, never really learning to interact with people. So, even in her second life, she still wasn’t very good at socializing.

Case in point: as they praised her so enthusiastically, all she could do was hold a smile, unsure of what else to say.

"Wow, I never realized I, the top student, was so unimpressive in the eyes of my underclassmen!" A voice suddenly cut in. Everyone turned toward the sound and saw Evan Shaw.

Evan Shaw deliberately put on a wounded expression, as if their words had actually hurt him.

"Shaw, we didn’t mean it like that!"

"Yeah, Shaw, you’re amazing too!"

The girls blushed. First, because the handsome Evan Shaw was talking to them, and second, because they’d just been caught bad-mouthing him.

Seeing Evan Shaw, Chloe had a sudden realization. ’It seems like I run into him every time our grades are posted.’

Just as Chloe was about to speak, Evan Shaw cut in, his tone shifting to one of easy familiarity. "Alright, I know you don’t have anything against me. What you said actually makes sense. Besides, just like you, I’m a fan of Chloe’s."

"Really?"

The girls asked in delighted surprise.

"Of course. Chloe saved my life, and her grades are skyrocketing. How could I not be one of her fans?"

Evan Shaw wasn’t just saying that; he meant it.

Although many girls at school liked him, it was mostly just because he was handsome.

In reality, many of them assumed that someone so handsome would never be interested in them. Others found him too cold and aloof, so they just admired him from a distance.

Sometimes, he even envied Ethan Prescott, who always had the steadfast Chloe York by his side.

That day he’d taken a fall on the field, he had already prepared himself to go to the nurse’s office.

But the first thing he’d registered was a pleasant fragrance, followed by the sight of Chloe’s nervous, worried face looking down at him.

In that moment, he felt his helplessness and loneliness melt away. And it was right then that a thought occurred to him: ’If Ethan Prescott doesn’t want her, then I do.’

Everyone knew the story of how Chloe had saved Evan. The girls’ expressions slowly turned mischievous. They glanced back and forth between Evan and Chloe, looking as if they’d just stumbled upon a huge secret.

But they hadn’t forgotten the other important reason they’d come over today.

"Senior, could you tell us your secret? How did you get so good?"

It was the same question as always, and Chloe gave the same answer. "Do lots of practice problems. Whenever you have free time, just do more problems. Make sure you understand everything you get wrong. Other than that, there’s really nothing else to it."

"I see. Okay, Senior, we’ll definitely do more practice problems! We hope our grades can make a huge leap, just like yours."

"That’s right. We’ll go back and do more practice problems too. If we don’t understand something, we’ll figure it out."

"Okay. I hope you get the results you’re hoping for."

"Thanks for the well wishes, Senior."

"Well, we’re heading back to class now. Bye, Senior! Bye, Shaw!" After waving goodbye to Chloe and Evan, the girls left.

"Bye!" Chloe waved back.

"You’re amazing, Chloe! You even have your own little fan club now." Evan praised her after the girls were out of earshot.

"Stop teasing me," Chloe said, a little embarrassed.

"I’m not teasing you. You really are incredible. My classmates talk about you whenever they have free time. They all say how amazing you are."

"By the way, Chloe, are you going to the library this weekend?"

The thought of running into Adrian Kane at the library last time made Chloe hesitate. She shook her head. "No, I’m not going."

Evan was a little disappointed to hear she wasn’t going, but he hid it well. "Alright."

He had planned to go to the library too if she was going, even though he had plenty of books at home.

"I should get back to class. See you later!"

"See you!" Evan watched her walk away, an inexplicable warmth spreading through his heart.

He didn’t need to ask which university Chloe had her heart set on. As long as their scores were high enough, they could get into any school they chose.

So all he had to do now was keep his scores stable. After the college entrance exams, he would find out which university Chloe chose and simply pick the same one.

When Chloe arrived at her classroom, she was immediately met with a hostile glare.

Following the line of sight, she saw Brooke York. Even after being caught staring, Brooke didn’t look away, continuing to glare at Chloe with open hostility.

Chloe ignored her and walked to her seat.

"Whoa, that look from Brooke York is seriously terrifying!" Stella Winters had also seen the glare Brooke gave Chloe. She had never seen a girl with such a sinister expression.

"You get used to it."

"’Get used to it?’ How could anyone get used to that? Her expression isn’t much different from something out of a Chinese horror movie."

Stella Winters unwrapped a piece of chocolate and began to eat it slowly. ’Life has so much good food and so many wonderful things,’ she thought. ’Why spend all day being so gloomy and miserable!’

At that moment, the more Brooke York looked at Chloe, the more she detested her. She hated her composure, hated her smugness, hated everything about her.
