The Heiress They Lost Came Back Overpowered

Chapter 207 - 206: He’s Dirty Now

Lyle and Ian Lynch looked at each other, blinked in unison, then quickly let go and took a big step back.

"Hello, Mr. Lyle."

Ian Lynch gave him a deadpan nod, then stiffly moved to the side.

’AAAAHHHHHHH!!! Help me!!! I’m tainted!!! I’m not clean anymore!!! I’m no longer the sweet-smelling, soft-skinned, handsome, and perfectly plump Ian Lynch I used to be!!!’ he roared internally.

’Why didn’t Miss Lowell let him go break his hands and feet and cut out his tongue!!! Why, in the end, did I have to be the one to take the fall for my boss and all my brothers!!!’

Leo Grant didn’t even spare them a glance, simply taking Yvonne Lowell by the hand and walking inside. "Let’s go in."

Yvonne Lowell: ’Damn! I can finally go upstairs and eat! This short journey for food has somehow taken me a whole six months!’

Seeing this, the others quickly followed. After all, standing around in public with Lyle was an easy way to make a complete fool of yourself!!

The two men walking behind them clenched their jaws, trying to hold back their laughter. That lovable idiot had been shot down by Leo so many times, yet he never learned his lesson. They’d never seen him be so persistent with anything else.

But... something felt off. Lyle seemed way too familiar with Leo’s girlfriend. He was even using pet names for her—he was more affectionate with her than with any of them.

They had seen the news about Leo’s girlfriend online, of course. She was certainly a legendary figure: the eldest daughter of Aurelia’s Lowell Family, the chairwoman of the Pluto Consortium, and Professor Loster.

But she was the heiress of a prestigious family, a businesswoman, and a professor. Besides, the Pluto Consortium didn’t even have a branch office on Continent R. How could she possibly know Lyle?

The two exchanged a look, each seeing the confusion in the other’s eyes.

They turned their heads in unison to look at the boy beside them—Lyle’s younger brother, Leno.

They saw that although Leno was trying to keep a straight face, they could both see the delighted surprise and excitement in his eyes. Moreover, he was staring at Leo’s girlfriend without blinking.

’Well, case closed. So both brothers knew her. And judging by the looks of it, it wasn’t just a casual acquaintance. No wonder Lyle brought his little brother to their dinner today.’

Once inside the elevator, Lyle walked to the farthest corner from Leo Grant before glaring at him furiously.

"Brother Leo, I just wanted to say hi to my dear Yvonne! Did you have to be like that?!"

’Good thing I tilted my head instinctively just now. Otherwise, since Ian Lynch and I are about the same height, it would have been a tragedy! A bloodbath! A crime of epic proportions!’

’If that happened, tonight’s evening news headline would probably be: ’

’I’m too young to have my reputation ruined for life! Who would I even cry to then!?’

"What did you call her?" A dangerous glint flashed in Leo Grant’s eyes as he asked, his own eyes narrowed.

’Besides, she’s *mine*! If you want to say hi, then say hi! Why the hell did you have to hug her?! You shameless bastard @#¥%[email protected]&*+!!!’

"Yvonne, of course. It’s a special nickname I came up with just for her, and it’s one that only I get to use. Ohh~ I get it! You’re just envious, aren’t you? Or should I say, downright jealous?"

As he spoke, Lyle even put on an ’I’ve already seen through everything’ expression.

Yvonne Lowell’s expression was hard to describe. ’What kind of damn "exclusive nickname" is that?’

’He only gave me that nickname because he can’t beat me in a fight and doesn’t want to call me Young Auntie. Besides, he just added the word ’little’ to the nickname Old Man Jennings uses for me. How does that count as ’specially created’?’

’What kind of special kink does this guy have? Why does he always seem so eager to get chewed out? He’s a total noob, a coward, and yet he loves to stir up trouble.’

Sure enough, the next second, a ’benevolent’ little smile touched the corner of Leo Grant’s lips.

"I wouldn’t say I’m envious or jealous. I just think you’re rather unfilial. Not only do you have no respect for your elders, but you also go around giving them random nicknames."

"Holy shit! You... you... you!!" Lyle pointed at Leo Grant, sputtering "you" for a long moment without being able to form a coherent sentence, before turning to Yvonne Lowell with an accusatory look.

"You even told him about that! I’m angry now! Starting right now, you are going to lose me completely! I’m breaking off all ties with you!!"

Yvonne Lowell nodded nonchalantly. "Oh. In that case, I wish you success. I hope you can actually follow through this time."

’Leo figured out the whole ’grand-nephew’ thing himself when he overheard her phone call with her sister-in-law just now. Besides, she hadn’t even known Lyle was coming until he’d shouted in the car, okay?’

’But in a way, she had indirectly told Leo, so she might as well take the blame for it.’

’After all, someone like Lyle, who’d clearly never ridden on those kiddy coin-op rides on the first floor of a mall, would never understand the song: ’What do you call your daddy’s sister? You call your daddy’s sister Auntie~’’

’Besides, over the years, if Lyle hadn’t threatened to break off their friendship a thousand times, it had to be at least eight hundred. Her ears were practically growing calluses from hearing it, yet he never actually went through with it.’

’She’d lost count of how many times she had "completely lost him" only to have him come back.’

’Every time, he’d either talk himself back into a good mood before acting stupid and getting himself pissed off again, leading to another declaration of severing ties; or she’d beat him into submission, then he’d act stupid again, and declare he was severing ties again.’

’It was the first time she’d ever seen someone turn the act of breaking off a friendship into a closed-loop system...’

"Hmph!" Lyle shot the two of them a glare and turned his back on them.

But no one paid him any attention all the way until they got out of the elevator. They didn’t even spare him a glance. It seemed they were all used to his occasional tantrums. In the end, he was the one who trotted out after them.

The manager who had been standing closest to him in the elevator: ’Boss, if I get injured by his resentful aura, does that count as a workplace injury?’

「Private Room 1.」

Seeing that his show-off of an older brother showed no signs of continuing his performance, Leno bypassed him and sat down on Yvonne Lowell’s other side.

He revealed his two small canine teeth in a well-behaved smile and said, "Young Auntie."

Leo Grant raised an eyebrow. ’He’d met this kid a few times. Although the kid was always polite, he always wore a cold, expressionless face. Who knew he could actually smile?’

The other two men were even more shocked. ’What the hell?! Young Auntie??? That means ’auntie’ like, the ’auntie’ we’re thinking of, right?!’

’How have we never heard that the Governor has a sister? A sister who’s almost thirty years younger than him, at that!! And that punk Lyle never told us!!’

’And... aren’t they all from different countries?’

The two of them tried to get confirmation from Leo Grant, who was sitting nearby. But when Leo noticed their gazes, he just lazily lifted his eyelids to shoot them a single glance before looking away completely.

’But that expressionless face... why did it inexplicably give off a vibe of utter disdain?’

’It was as if every cell in his body was saying: Welcome to the big city, you two country bumpkins who’ve never seen the world.’
