’The fuck! Tempest and I are both in stealth, how come she can still see us?!!’ He thought in shock, but forced his expression into a brave, unbothered face:
"I am taking you to our battleground." He said with a forced grin that felt completely unnatural on his face.
"Hehehe... A beaten snack is more delicious. But... I am just too hungry to wait!!"
She flew directly towards him through the turbulent air, throwing her hand forward with violent intent.
"Don’t underestimate me, you pig!!"
Asher yelled back at her, refusing to back down. The next moment, a massive runic circle burned into existence above them in the crimson sky, and golden lightning dropped from the heavens like a divine spear.
"Huh?"
She paused her action mid-flight as the golden lightning smashed down on her hard, engulfing her form in brilliant crackling arcs. "You do know these won’t work, right?" She asked casually, staring at the lightning snapping and cracking harmlessly all over her red arm.
’She is also immune to magic attacks?! You must be kidding me, is there someone this insanely powerful?!’ Asher thought, casting a panicked glance over his shoulder at Anika. The sheer gap of an Ex-Rank entity was defying all his tactical calculations.
"Hehehe, I love playing with my food. The fear, the screams, the sweat... they all add to the flavor when I consume it... Hahahaha!!! Show me more fear, my snack!" She stretched her clawed hand towards Tempest, her demonic energy flaring violently:
"Show me!!"
The space directly before her palm cracked open like shattered glass, as a dark red vortex of raw demonic energy manifested:
"Show me!!!"
BOOOOM!!!!!
A concentrated beam of pure destructive light shot out from the vortex, moving towards Asher with insane, unavoidable speed:
"Fuck!! Tempest..."

SCREECH!!
Before Asher could complete his words, the horrific attack smashed right into Tempest, bypassing all natural resistances and instantly draining all his health down to a critical 1%.
"Fuck!!"
The huge golden bird dropped from the sky like a rock, his stealth feature shattering into glittering particles.
"I will make sure you pay for this!" Asher yelled at her in sheer rage, immediately withdrawing Tempest back into his core to save his life. He shot forward through the air, flying under his own power with his absolute highest speed.
’What sort of broken attack was that?!!’ He looked over his shoulder, seeing Anika casually gliding behind him without breaking a sweat.
’She isn’t even going all out. This bitch has been playing with me from the very start!!’ He thought bitterly, turning his head back ahead as his perception felt the dense, overwhelming signatures of countless powerful energies in the far distance.
’Seems this is my only viable plan...’
"Do you love running so much?!"
Anika suddenly appeared right above him in a blur of spatial displacement, striking her metal claws down toward his face midair.
"....?!"
Asher quickly shifted his weight, rotating his body so his back was facing downward, and thrust his Supreme Mythic dagger upward against her claw.

The deafening sound of blade striking impenetrable iron rang out across the sky, as the massive force threw Asher downward like a fallen star.
"Hehehe, you are so sweet, my snack... Now I really want a taste," she said, staring at her claws with hungry anticipation, as Asher balanced himself in midair below her and shot forward again, flying away at maximum speed.
"Are you going to run the whole time? But I will still have a taste."
She pointed one sharp finger towards Asher and simply flicked her wrist.

Asher blinked a couple of times as a sharp pain cut across his face. Feeling a warm sting on his cheek, he raised his gloved hand to wipe it, only to see fresh red blood:
"....?!"
He looked over his shoulder at Anika, seeing her already licking the stolen blood off her long claws with an ecstatic expression.
"Did she injure me from that distance?" He muttered in sheer disbelief. Then, the very next moment, Anika’s eyes went wide, and she violently vomited a mouthful of thick, black blood into the sky.
Now, it was Asher’s turn to be completely stunned.

’Hey! What the hell just happened?’ He thought, completely at a loss for words as the massive damage numbers hovered in his vision.

Anika stared at her trembling hand, completely stunned:
’What just happened to me? Is he really just a human? How can his blood carry so much lethal poison...? It’s both incredibly delicious, and exceptionally dangerous.’ She looked up at Asher, who had already covered a good distance from her while she was stunned.
"Hehehe, I have never tasted such a unique, dangerous snack... I want more of it!" She clenched her fist, her crimson eyes glowing with unhinged obsession.

"But a little toxin isn’t nearly enough to get me killed!" She declared, and vanished into thin air once more.

Asher stared at the towering, ominous black castle looming in the distance ahead, nodding his head: "Finally!! I made it." He paused, his momentum slowing.

’The hell?! She can also cleanse poison that fast?!’ He was utterly stunned, as the red sky above them suddenly vanished, replaced by rolling, apocalyptically dark storm clouds that covered the entire territory.
"Hey!! Human, I strongly suggest you turn back right now!" Anika appeared twenty meters behind him, her voice lacking its previous playful edge.
"Hahaha! How do you like the taste of my blood?!" Asher yelled back over his shoulder, baiting her.
"It’s no longer funny!! If you don’t get back here right this instant, I will kill you!!" She snapped at him, her expression turning completely serious.
"Hehehe! Come and try it!!" Asher taunted, and abruptly cut off his flight energy, instantly plummeting toward the castle grounds below with his gaze fixed on her.
"You stupid snack! I should have killed you from the very start instead of playing around!" Anika stopped midair, staring down at his falling form with a heavy frown on her face. Then, the next moment, her terrifying smirk returned:
"But I can’t let my prized food escape, not after chasing you all the way here." She said coldly, diving down through the storm right behind him.
