Chapter 120: Offer

Seeing the frown on Asher’s beautiful face, Jessica finally snapped out from her shock. The unnatural enhanced perfection of his features faded into a terrifying reality as she slowly lowered her gaze to the shattered porcelain pieces on the ground, her eyes widening in absolute horror.

"....?!"

What the hell?! Every single thing in this grand mansion was worth more than one million, and what she broke wasn’t just anything—it was an exquisite, antique vase which was more than ten million dollars. Jessica was just an average lady from a middle-class family; although her parents weren’t poor, they were still not rich by the astronomical standards of the society. How the hell would she pay for such a vase?

Without hesitation, she dropped to her knees, the sharp shards inches from her uniform: "I am so sorry, Boss!! Please, I am sorry!!" She pleaded, deeply bowing her head until it almost touched the floor.

Tang stared at her, also stunned speechless. He knew the vase; that masterpiece cost 50 million in an exclusive auction. He also knew Jessica and her humble family background. Although he had the money and could help, he didn’t dare say a word first in the presence of an Ancient Family Patriarch. He simply stood still, waiting for Asher’s word.

The nine maids present all stopped cleaning, watching, their faces paled. They knew one absolute truth: every single object in the main house is more than a million; even the couches were tens of millions, let alone that vase.

Asher stared at the trembling young lady for some seconds, feeling the terrifying weight of his authority, then opened his mouth. Everyone held their breath, waiting, as the words sounded in their heads:

"Get up, Jessica." He said, staring down at her.

{Jessica’s Loyalty: 60%.}

Jessica trembling stood up, her body shaking uncontrollably. If the boss was angry, and she couldn’t pay, he might use his privileges to get her locked up in jail—or worse. That made the matter even more bad for her.

"It’s just a Vase, there is no need to kneel down, mistakes happen." Asher said, his words stunning everyone in place.

’The Boss? Forgave me?’ Jessica was stunned, tears pricking her eyes at the sheer mercy of a being so far above her station.

’The Boss actually threw 50 million away, and forgave her?’ Tang was speechless, his respect deepening for this unfathomable young lord.

The whole maids were dumbfounded, staring at their impossibly handsome Boss in disbelief.

{Jessica’s Loyalty: 60% - 70%.}

{Tang’s Loyalty: 70% - 75%.}

Asher turned to Tang, a bit surprised: ’Seems Tang cares about her,’ he thought, turning to the remaining maids, staring at their loyalty points hovering in ethereal blue above them; the lowest was 55%.

’Wow, not bad, seems their high pay did something good.’ He thought.

"You don’t need to kneel, but next time, this shouldn’t repeat itself."

"....?"

Everyone froze, hearing the cold voice sound from the elevator. They all slowly turned their heads to the voice, seeing Juliana walking towards them, radiating lethal grace, with Sara and Kelly following closely behind her.

Jessica held her breath, watching as Juliana stopped in front of Asher, staring at him with calculating, possessive eyes.

Asher smiled inwardly. He could clearly see the shock on his wives’ faces regarding his drastic physical transformation, but they hid it perfectly. After what seemed like a whole minute of intense staring, Juliana finally turned around to Jessica:

"I will respect my husband’s decision, but remember this; what happened today shouldn’t repeat itself, and you should never stare at him for such a long while to the point of losing yourself, you understand?" She asked seriously, her gaze cold and dripping with barely suppressed killing intent.

"Yes, Third Madam!! It will never happen again!" Jessica quickly answered, bowing her head in absolute submission.

The fuck?! Getting off without paying was already the biggest grace from the heavens. Even if the Third Madam slaps her for staring at her husband, she won’t say a word but smile gratefully.

"Alright, continue with your work." She said, and walked towards Asher, stopping right beside him, and whispered intimately in his ears.

"Remember, you belong to us sisters."

With that said, she lightly taps his newly forged, muscular chest; and walked gracefully inside the dining room.

’Why does she behave like a Yandere at times,’ Asher thought, nodding at Sara. Kelly on the other hand walked past him without a word, entirely enchanted, following the divine smell of food.

Sara nodded at him, held his hand firmly, and walked with him inside, clearly drilling their undeniable positions in the minds of everyone present.

Asher belongs to them, and only them.

"Come along, Tang." Asher said, walking inside with his wives.

___

Tang sat stiffly in his plush seat in the grand dining room, staring at the four apex predators before him, stunned speechless.

’Am I on the same table with the Boss?’ He thought in shock, staring at Asher, Kelly, Sara, and Juliana who were already eating the meal. He could see Juliana and Sara were busy stealing heated glances at their husband’s newly chiseled jawline.

"Tang."

Asher’s words snapped him out from his thought: "Yes Boss?!!"

"I have been meaning to ask, are you married?" He asked, his eyes piercing.

"Huh? No Boss."

"Really? You should be in your mid-thirties." Asher was dumbfounded.

"Well, I don’t know, maybe because I focused on my career all my life." Tang said, staring at the food on the table.

"Alright, what do you say about becoming the butler of my family?" He asked, his words stunning not only Tang, but also Juliana and Sara.

Everyone turned to him in pure surprise.

Asher nodded to himself. He should have discussed this critical internal appointment with his wives, but they knew no one else in this cutthroat city who would be trustworthy. Tang already had a loyalty of 75%; in the future, as they built the Ancient Family’s foundation, it might get to 100%. He doesn’t know who is more suited for this crucial position.

"What do you say, Tang? Becoming the butler won’t stop your income from Heaven Hotel, you will still get paid five hundred thousand dollars per month." He said casually, throwing around a fortune that could buy a small guild.

"....?"

Tang was entirely speechless, the magnitude of the offer anchoring him to his chair.
