Chapter 109: I want him As My Son-in-law

"You... You!! I am going to teach you a lesson, brat!!!"

BOOOOM!!!

Grayson shot forward, moving towards Asher with insane speed, shattering the marble floor under his heels. Before Owen or anyone else in the hall could even react, one of the pitch-black Knights stepped in front of Asher, sending a heavy, iron-clad punch straight toward Grayson.

"Overestimating yourself!!!"

Grayson yelled in rage, surging his full SSS-Rank aura and sending a brutal, energy-infused fist straight at the Knight’s armored fist:

BOOOM!!

The two fists collided with a violent shockwave that rattled the chandeliers, but to everyone’s absolute shock, Grayson was blasted six feet backward, his heavy boots skidding across the floor, while the Knight stood perfectly still, completely unfazed.

"This?" Grayson was stunned, his hand trembling from the sheer force of the rebound.

"Impossible! Grayson is an SSS-RANK Swordsman!! How was he pushed a whole two meters back?!" Eren exclaimed in shock, leaning forward in disbelief.

"That Knight only has the Aura of an S-Rank at most, how come its stats are that high?" Gavin added in a low, grim voice, staring at Asher, who was casually being fed a slice of fruit by Juliana.

"Oh God! That is crazily powerful!" Frederick gasped in shock, almost jumping off his seat as he witnessed the summon’s raw durability.

"His summon actually has the strength of an SSS-RANK?" Elizabeth asked in horror, her previous arrogance completely shattering as she stood dumbfounded.

"I told you already, he is way out of your league." Katherine said, stopping her game to give Elizabeth a pointed look.

"You do know attacking me only leads to death, right?" Asher’s voice sounded softly. He was still comfortably seated, his back completely facing Grayson, his entire posture flowing with supreme arrogance.

"You!! I don’t believe I can’t destroy this summon!!" Grayson yelled, his eyes bloodshot with humiliation. But before he could even take a single step forward, a sudden, frigid layer of deep Ice froze his feet solid to the ground. No matter how much he forced his spirit energy, he couldn’t move an inch.

"Who dared attack me?!!" He yelled, thrashing against the absolute cold.

"Grayson, as a Mafia Boss and the King of the Underground forces in Silverspire, shouldn’t you be more refined?"

"....?!"

Everyone turned around to the vip table in the corner, seeing a remarkably beautiful middle-aged woman casually twirling one of her fingers in the air, a trail of frost shimmering around her skin:

"Just because you don’t accept something doesn’t mean you should disrupt this banquet. You aren’t in any dungeon or in the wilderness, so sit down." She said in a calm, icy tone that commanded instant obedience.

’Huh? Why is my Mom making a move? She never does something like this before.’ Katherine thought, utterly stunned as she watched her mother intervene.

"Hey, isn’t that your mother, Katherine?" The second guy at their table asked, turning to Katherine, who simply let out a long sigh:

"Yeah, that’s her," she admitted, rubbing her temples.

"What is the issue?" Britney asked in mild confusion, looking between the frosty scene and Katherine’s reaction.

"Um... Just watch."

The group blinked, turning their attention back to the high-stakes confrontation unfolding before them:

"You!! Let me go!! Does your Wyrmrest family want to go against me?" Grayson threatened, his eyes burning with lethal killing intent.

"Did you just threaten my family?"

CRACK!

Everyone froze as the frost instantly shot upward, turning all of Grayson’s legs into solid, absolute ice, the cold biting deep into his flesh.

"This?" Grayson was stunned speechless, the color draining from his face as he realized how effortlessly she could cripple him.

No one dared say a word; even Owen remained completely silent. The Wyrmrest family was as terrifyingly strong as the Starfire family—offending them was beyond stupidity!

"Alright then! I won’t attack him!" Grayson finally yelled, desperately swallowing his pride to save his legs.

"See? Was it that difficult?" She casually lowered her finger, and the thick Ice melted away into vapor:

"I would have shattered your legs into dust if you had continued." She added smoothly, taking a sip from her glass.

Grayson grimaced in pain, dragged his frostbitten feet back to his table, and sat down heavily:

"I won’t attack him, and will never take him as an Ancient family!!" He spat out, trying to save whatever fraction of dignity he had left.

Asher looked over his shoulder at the blue-haired woman, his sharp eyes taking in her chilling energy before he looked away:

’I wonder who she is.’ He thought, noting her immense strength.

As for Grayson, Asher didn’t give a fuck; if the big man tried anything funny again, Asher would simply erase him where he stood.

"Well, I know most of you have your doubts, but right now, what is in front of you—these honored guests—are indeed the fifth Ancient family... I am revealing this so none of you should regret your future actions and decisions." Owen announced to the room, establishing the new balance of power.

Asher turned to Juliana, who moved her hand lightly above the delicate fruits on the table. Sensing no hidden poisons or spell, she then pushed the plate over to Kelly, who quickly started eating with a delighted smile. Asher smiled softly at the sight, then turned his gaze back to Owen:

"And of course, the Aetheldawn family is already powerful; they won’t need my help if anything comes up, but you are all free to offer them assistance." Owen said, attempting to smoothly remove himself from any direct conflicts surrounding the Aetheldawn family, but...

"You aren’t qualified to tell if my family needs help or not... I hope you remember this." Asher said coldly, his piercing gaze locking onto Owen.

"I misspoke just now, apologies." Owen said without hesitation, even offering a respectful, small bow toward Asher.

’This man, he is just like my 6th Brother—he is very cunning. Says one thing, but means something else entirely; does this, and expects returns later. He claims he disowned his son, but I won’t believe such a thing for a second. There is a high chance he will assist Aaron from behind.’ Asher thought. He glanced over at Sara, who sat as calm and silent as always, her eyes continuously tracking every hidden shadow in the room.

"Alright, if there is nothing else to discuss, the party should continue," Owen said with a diplomatic smile, clapping his hands as the orchestra resumed playing its elegant music.

"Ah! I am back from the bathroom, what happened?" Katherine’s father, a jovial, fat man with a massive stomach, asked as he waddled back over and sat down beside his beautiful wife.

"Don’t worry, there was a small argument, but it’s all settled now," his wife said smoothly. Then, pointing a slender finger toward Asher’s table, she added casually:

"I want him to marry our daughter and become my Son-in-law."

".....?!!"

The man was stunned speechless, staring at his wife in absolute disbelief before looking over at Asher:

"Are you drunk, lady? He is already married to three! Why would I make my precious daughter a fourth wife?!" He asked, his voice rising in cold indignance.

"But that young man might become someone great—"

"—I don’t give a fuck even if he becomes a Supreme being or even a donkey! My daughter won’t be anyone’s fourth wife, not even a second! She will remain the first wife alone!" He declared seriously, his paternal pride unyielding.

"What if he agrees to give her the first wife position?" She asked smoothly, turning her calm gaze back to face her flabbergasted husband.

"This...?" He was completely stunned speechless.
