Chapter 94: Shadows Of The Past
"Alright!! I have enough of you!!"
Tyson finally snapped, and the next moment, black flames burst out from him, heading towards Asher, who stood still as the attack smashed into his armor’s shield. The hellish fire twisted violently around the dark fabric, attempting to incinerate the space itself, but the shield held firm without so much as a flicker.

Everyone stared stunned as Asher dusted his shoulder with a bored expression: "Are you done?"
"....??!!!"
They were speechless. Tyson’s black flames could burn even an SSS-RANK Monster, draining its health by 80%, but against this guy, it didn’t even burn his clothes. The terrifying defense of Mythic-Tier equipment was laid bare for all to see, turning an apex predator’s strike into nothing more than a mild annoyance.
"How is that possible? Do you have another secret treasure?" Tyson asked in shock, his eyes wide open in disbelief. His hands trembled slightly as the absolute dominance of his SSS-Rank flames failed for the first time in his life.
"I will turn a blind eye to your childish actions." Asher turned his gaze to Daniel, ignoring Tyson’s panicked questioning entirely.
Amongst everyone present, Daniel has more influence... Asher wants to know what side this man was on. If he’s against him, then Asher will prepare for him; if he supports him, Asher will still prepare against him.
’No one can be fully trusted except my wives.’ He thought, the harsh truth of his past betrayal burning bright in his mind. He pointed at Eren; the next moment, a sword made from his shadows formed in midair, its obsidian tip aiming directly down at Eren’s arm.
"I am waiting, but remember, from now onwards, mind your every word..."
Daniel clenched his fist, staring at Eren. He was one of the strongest SSS-RANKs Vaeloria has; he’s more valuable than Richard, and his guild... The balance of the city would collapse if an SSS-Rank powerhouse was executed like livestock on the mansion lawn. He sighed, unclenching his fists, forcing his pride down for the greater good of his organization.
"Alright, I don’t care about Richard and his guild, you are free to do whatever you like, but you aren’t allowed to kill anyone... As for Eren, I can’t let you kill him. He offended your wife, so I will reward you with something I am sure you’ll need."
He stretched his hand towards Asher, then opened his palm; everyone watched as a five-foot-tall golden cauldron appeared, descending slowly with an powerful, resonant hum.
"....?!"
Juliana was stunned speechless, staring at the cauldron in disbelief, her breath catching in her throat as she recognized the artifact.
"This here is a Celestial-Tier Cauldron, the Blue Lotus... It can make pills up to Heaven-Tier, and also have a higher success rate." He explained, presenting it as an offering to settle an impossible feud.
Asher paused, staring at the cauldron. This was actually a good thing, but did he actually need a cauldron? Why did Daniel even give him a cauldron?
"Husband." Juliana rushed towards him, passing by Tyson without granting him a single glance, then whispered in his ears. Asher blinked, stunned:
’Wait, she is also an Alchemist? Wait a second! If Juliana can make pills and potions, wouldn’t I have an endless supply? And adding with the system’s Multiplier, I will never run out—I might even have Divine-Tier pills and potions!!’ Asher thought in shock, staring at the cauldron as massive strategic possibilities flashed before his eyes:
’But I can buy an Earth-Tier cauldron, and invest it in Juliana, won’t I gain a higher tier? But if I refuse this, and continue pushing, it might end up pretty bad...’ He looked at the side at Luna, who was glaring at him with a volatile, unreadable aura:
’If I pushed Daniel to the hole, he might remove the law on me, but if I agree to this, he will be obligated to keep the rule going, which will restrain the others... I am this arrogant because I know they’ll never fight in the city, but no one can tell what these guys will do if pushed to the extreme, especially Luna.’ He sighed softly, and nodded his head:
’Take a step back to deal a bigger blow later... This is the right action.’
Asher lowered his hand, as the shadow sword vanished into thin air: "Alright, I will give you face." He said arrogantly, as the Cauldron moved towards him, landing heavily on the paved ground:
"For giving such a thing, you must have already investigated my wives... This is how you know what she needs, right?" He asked, his eyes narrowing at the Association Leader.
"If that offended you, I apologize, but it’s my duty to have some documents about every noble house in Silverspire." He said, stepping past the line of tension. He walked towards Eren, stopping beside Asher, then whispered in a low voice:
"Remember your promise; if you kill anyone, I will be forced to act against you. Remember that... About the money, I will send it to you later in the day."
With that said, he walked towards Eren, and picked him up with his energy, floating his limp body alongside him, while Danica helped Gavin to his feet. The bleeding was stopped by magic, but the arm was gone for good.
Everyone stared as Daniel, Danica, Gavin, and the middle-aged woman flew into the sky, leaving the place in anger, their exit marking a temporary end to the immediate siege.
’That was troublesome... But now, the main trouble...’
"Baby brother, you have grown." Luna said with a smirk, drawing the attention of those still present. Her eyes sparkled with an unhealthy, manic focus.
Asher turned his head towards her, his eyes ice-cold: "It seems you didn’t get it last time, I am not your Brother... If you continue with this, I don’t mind beating it into your skull."
Luna listened to his words, and her smirk only widened into a sinister grin. She looked at him, tilting her head to the side like a predator observing prey:
"Hehehe, you have never dared speak to me in such manners in the past... I hope you are ready for the consequences of disrespecting your big Sister... In some moments, everything will be revealed."
"...?!"
Everyone stared at her psychopathic grin, completely speechless at the terrifying obsession bleeding through her aura.
