The demon looked at Elena, his eyes gleaming with lust and desire.

"Hmm... beauty. I can have a nice time with you after I’m done with you."

A wicked smile appeared on his face.

Elena look at him with disgust she didn’t even open her mouth but contempt in her eyes visible to the naked eye.

Demon face darkened he clearly saw the contempt on Elena’s eyes.

"You bit** don’t know what’s good for you i show you what happens when someone go against me"

I clenched my fist, but I couldn’t intervene. It would only make my sister lose focus.

So I watched carefully.

I activated my Perception and observed the fight.

Then I noticed something else.

Another demon was hidden in a tree, waiting for a chance to launch a surprise attack on Elena.

My eyes narrowed.

Hmm... this got more interesting.

I looked at the kill count.

Hmm. They’re gathering kills, so I’ll focus on them.

The demon used a dark claw to strike Elena.

Her hand was cut, and a dark line began spreading from the wound. It looked like her flesh was rotting.

But Elena immediately used Light, and the dark spot vanished as if it had never been there.

She augmented her sword with Light and aimed an attack at the demon’s hand before slashing at it.

Her attack was incredibly fast because of her Light Affinity, and she managed to cut through the demon’s arm.

The arm was still intact, but there was a large wound on it.

The demon grimaced.

He became angry and shouted at Elena.

"You bitch! I will kill you!"

He immediately charged toward her, clearly aiming to kill her.

But Elena was far more skilled than the demon.

She deflected most of his attacks and then used a Light Sword Aura to launch an attack.

The demon met it with a Dark Aura.

The two attacks clashed for dominance.

At that moment, the demon hiding in the tree moved at lightning speed.

He augmented himself with Lightning.

A massive grin appeared on my face.

If he thinks Lightning is enough to out-speed me, he is clearly delusional.

I didn’t need speed to get there.

I only needed speed for the attack.

I used Blink and appeared behind Elena.

I augmented Eclipse with Space and strengthened my body with Mana Enhancement.

Then I aimed an attack at that sneaky bastard, using all my strength.

This attack contained Space Mana Augmentation and Gravity Enhancement, combined with my full physical strength, all infused into Eclipse.

Eclipse cut through space and created a clean slash through the demon who was using Lightning to rush toward Elena for the kill.

He was cut in half, and his body fell to the ground.

The demon’s eyes widened in surprise and despair.

I killed him, but I didn’t feel anything.

It was like killing a beast.

I had no time to think about it.

I immediately Blinked back behind the demon who was still clashing with Elena.

There was only one attack I could think of that could damage someone like him.

So I used it.

I could handle a little Abyss.

I augmented Eclipse with Abyss and attacked the demon who was still clashing with Elena.

Elena saw what happened and immediately understood what to do.

She made sure the demon didn’t have time to move and used two crystal attacks to force him into the exact position I needed.

I was still in the state of Mana Enhancement and Gravity Enhancement, so I increased them as much as I could for this attack.

Eclipse cut through the demon’s back, creating a huge critical injury.

The demon screamed.

His eyes darkened with pain as he looked at me with pure hatred.

He tried to attack me, but he was too late.

Elena finished him off.

I dropped to the ground.

I had used most of my mana on that attack, leaving me in a low-mana state.

I had used everything I had, and my body wasn’t used to spending that much power at once.

I pushed my body that far and only managed to unleash that much of an attack.

I knew they had an Aura coating their bodies, but still...

Elena saw me about to fall and grabbed me before I hit the ground.

She smiled at me with a warm smile.

"You helped me big time in that situation. Thanks, Gray."

I just smiled back with a tired smile.

I gathered my strength, got up, and walked over to recover my sword.

Eclipse absorbed the demon’s blood, slowly healing me and recovering my stamina.

My mana, however, was still recovering at its normal speed.

But my normal speed was much faster than others because of my special Mana Core.

Elena let me rest and looked at the demons.

Her warm smile immediately evaporated.

She activated her Perception and searched for any other demons.

After finding none, she relaxed a little.

Then she looked at me, sitting under a tree and eating chocolate.

A small smile appeared on her face once more.

She decided to guard me until I recovered a little more.

I ate the chocolate and offered her one.

Chocolate was good for these kinds of situations.

She accepted it with a smile.

Then i finished my chocolate and got up.

My reward was waiting for me. I couldn’t slack off.

I grabbed Eclipse and looked at Elena.

"How about we move and get some kills? There are only about twenty kills left for us to pass."

She blinked and asked in surprise,

"Aren’t you going to rest and get your mana back?"

I smiled.

"I already recovered a little, and that’s enough for me to travel. My reward is waiting for me. I can’t slack off."

I said it with heavy determination.

She looked at me.

The same person who found every opportunity to slack off with his diligent sister and had even managed to turn his diligent little sister into a slacker was now standing in front of her.

But right now, all she could see was a motivated person chasing after treasure.

She sighed heavily.

Then she smiled.

I nodded and used Void Step to travel, searching for more undead creatures.

A big grin appeared on my face as I went with the flow of the wind.

My body felt extremely light because of Gravity, and every step I took was enhanced by Space through my Void Step.

Soon, we saw more undead.

Elena went for one, so I went for another.

It was a normal one, so I didn’t use anything special.

I simply used Eclipse and cut the zombie down with a single slash.

Then I looked at the kill count.

My eyes gleamed.

Only five left.

I looked at Elena and followed her to kill more.

She found another two and used Crystal Projectiles to kill them.

We only needed another three of them.

The kill count went up by another two.

I looked at the kill count again.

Only one was needed.

Then that one was fulfilled as well, and a notification appeared.

[Congratulations! You are in second place. You can ascend to the next level.]

[Your reward will be calculated.]

I looked at the message and blinked.

"What? Second place?"

Then I realized what had happened.

"Ahhh! Nooo! My first-place reward! How did this happen?!"

Elena looked at me with amusement.

She was a little surprised about our rank as well, but she was much more interested in watching my reaction.

Then, a small portal opened in front of us.

I assumed it was the portal to the second floor.

Elena smiled.

"Okay, okay. That’s enough sulking. Let’s go."

Then we entered the portal and went to the second floor.

Our vision went black, and I could feel the space around us changing.

When our vision returned, we had arrived at a location that looked more like a waiting room.

It was a large room, and there were five portions of food placed in the middle.

I looked around and saw Luna and the others appear beside us.

Then another message appeared.

Then that giant rabbit appeared he is smarter then before he look at us and spoke.

"Congratulations you are the second group to succeed in the 1st challenge as foe your second challenge cannot take with several groups only one group at a time so in that time you can enjoy the meal and recover your self and be prepared"

Then the rabbit disappeared and i understood what had happened.

This was a waiting room where we could recover while waiting for the Second Trial to become available.

I wondered what kind of challenge it would be.
