INFINITE MEMORIES : MY F-RANK SKILL IS ACTUALLY THE STRONGEST

Chapter 109: EMPEROR’S LEGACY

<Chapter - 109 The Emperor’s Legacy Map>

The shattered viewing crystals of the Sanctum Prime’s grand promenade drifted like cold glitter into the Orion void.

Across the wide expanse of the stellar system, sixty white-and-gold Hegemony galleons lay completely dark. Their solar reactors hummed at a low, submissive pitch, rerouted to the command signals of the Orion-9 Starlight Bastion.

Inside the wrecked cathedral-hall of the flagship, the air smelled of ozone, scorched marble, and the faint, sweet aroma of dried plums.

Grand Invocator Cassian remained kneeling upon the cracked mosaics of the floor, his severed sun-scepter lying in pieces around his knees. The divine golden light that had once defined his haughty gaze was entirely gone, replaced by a quiet, trembling awe.

Noah Kurtz stood before him, his posture carrying that familiar, unhurried slouch. He wore his dark woolen coat open over his tunic, his hands resting comfortably in his pockets. Pinned over his chest, the small ironwood leaf brooch absorbed the ambient starlight, reflecting a warm, ancient radiance. Underneath his sleeves, his black ironwood forearm guards circulated his Platinum Archive Authority in a pristine, zero-waste loop.

Beside him, standing close enough that their shoulders touched in familiar warmth, was Rin Asakura.

Rin’s lavender kimono fluttered softly in the artificial air current of the promenade. Her simple wooden practice sword was nestled securely back in its sash sheath at her left hip.

Her crystalline violet eyes looked down at the fallen Invocator. With Asura’s Touch intertwined with her unsealed void sight, Rin mapped the intricate, ancient lines of data running through the cathedral’s floor. She saw the hidden mechanisms that the Hegemony had built over the pre-Cataclysm stone—clumsy, modern locks placed over imperial foundations.

Slowly, Rin reached out, her delicate fingers sliding smoothly into Noah’s right palm.

Noah’s fingers closed gently around hers, his thumb caressing the soft curve of her knuckles with quiet, unyielding protection. Through their entwined hands, Noah sent a subtle, comforting thread of warm Ki into her meridians, keeping the cold void draft from reaching her fingertips.

Rin turned her violet eyes up toward Noah’s profile, her pale lips curving into a serene, breathtaking smile.

"The stones beneath their marble are crying out, Noah..." Rin whispered softly, her melodic, formal cadence carrying an intimate warmth that touched his ear. "They were forced to wear false suns for three thousand years. But they remember the footstep of the Ashen Sovereign."

Noah looked down into her violet eyes, his steel-gray gaze softening with genuine tenderness. He gently squeezed her fingers.

"A false crown never fits the head of a thief, Rin," Noah spoke softly, his flat, rasping whisper carrying the ancient weight of extinct eras.

Behind them, Jiho Park sat comfortably atop a shattered solar pillar, chewing on a dried plum. His faded, scuffed slide sandals swung lazily over the broken edge. He reached into his oversized canvas duffel bag, pulling out a second handful of plums, and offered one toward a trembling Hegemony solar-knight standing guard nearby.

"You want one?" Jiho mumbled sleepily, his droopy eyes blinking. "It’s a bit sour, but Master Alistair says dried fruit gives you stamina. Better than eating lasers, right?"

The solar-knight stared at the twenty-six-year-old giant who had just thrown a fifty-ton asteroid through their flagship’s solar core, trembling violently before bowing his head in total, terrified silence.

"More for me," Jiho shrugged, popping another plum into his mouth.

Chloe Harrington strolled past the kneeling officers, casually twirling her dead platinum revolvers before holstering them with two crisp clicks. Her amber eyes, illuminated by the starlight, carried a sharp, rebellious smirk.

"Boss," Chloe called out, flicking her silver coin high into the air and catching it with a rhythmic snap. "Alistair just finished stripping the flagship’s master database. He found something that wasn’t coded by the Hegemony."

Right on cue, Alistair Vance stumbled through a platinum spatial gateway onto the promenade, his tweed vest coated in copper shavings, holding a colossal, glowing starlight crystal console in both arms.

"Boss! Look at this ancient data matrix!" Alistair yelled frantically, nearly tripping over a piece of broken marble before catching his balance. He took a wild, desperate slurp from his espresso thermos. "When you shattered Cassian’s scepter, the feedback loop unlocked a hidden sub-layer inside the Hegemony’s master atlas! It’s not a star chart—it’s an Emperor’s Legacy Map from the 14th Cycle!"

Noah turned his steel-gray eyes toward the glowing crystal console.

"Display the anchors, Alistair," Noah said smoothly.

Alistair slammed the crystal onto a stone pedestal, inputting a rapid sequence of ancient command runes.

HUMMMMMM—!

A colossal, three-dimensional holographic galaxy ignited in the center of the cathedral hall.

Tens of thousands of star systems rotated in brilliant, sapphire-and-gold light. But as Noah’s 3.50% Platinum Authority resonated with the projection, the standard galactic borders dissolved.

In their place, four massive, dormant stellar sectors pulsed with ancient imperial glyphs:

The Iron Nebula: The ancient armory of the Ashen Cabinet, where the 14th-Cycle Fleet was forged.

The Starlight Vault of Vega: The secondary Archive Core holding Diamond Tier Authority.

The Obsidian Citadel of the Twelve Vassals: The stasis fortress where Noah’s ancient generals were sealed during the Cataclysm.

The Primordial Throne: The center of the cosmos, currently occupied by the Grand Divine Archons of the Celestial Hegemony.

Grand Invocator Cassian raised his head, his pale face draining of all color as he saw the imperial map unsealed.

"The Twelve Vassals..." Cassian rasped in horror. "The Three Grand Theocracies have spent three millennia trying to crack the stasis wards of the Obsidian Citadel! The Archons believed the Vassals had perished with the Cycle!"

Noah walked calmly up to the holographic map, his slouching posture relaxed. He stopped beside the pulsing node of the Starlight Vault of Vega.

"My generals don’t die to time, Cassian," Noah spoke flatly, his steel-gray eyes cold and immovable. "They were only waiting for their master to call roll."

Beside him, Rin stepped smoothly to his side, her violet eyes burning with absolute, fearless devotion. She slid her left hand naturally back into Noah’s right palm, their fingers entwining in an unbreakable lock as her right hand rested on her wooden practice sword.

She looked at the vast star-map, her heart beating in steady, unshakeable harmony with his.

"The path is laid before us, Noah," Rin murmured softly, her breath warm against his sleeve, her lips curving into a serene, radiant smile. "The stars are waiting for their Sovereign to claim his seat."

Noah looked down at her beautiful, smiling face, feeling the warmth of her presence anchoring his soul in the vastness of the heavens. He raised his free hand, gently caressing the soft curve of her cheek, his thumb brushing a stray lock of dark hair behind her ear.

"We take Vega first, Rin," Noah said gently, a rare, tender warmth touching his voice. "We unseal the Diamond Archive, and then we wake the Citadel."

Rin leaned into his touch, her eyelashes fluttering softly as she held his wrist with her other hand, letting out a sweet, contented breath. "Wherever your boots step across the stars, Noah... my blade and my life belong to you."

Jiho stood up from his pillar, dusting off his sweatpants and picking up his massive canvas bag. "Master, does Vega have better food than this ship? These dried plums are getting stuck in my teeth."

"Vega was the imperial garden sector, Jiho," Noah replied with a subtle, gentle smirk. "They grow melons the size of wagons."

"Wagon-sized melons?!" Jiho’s droopy eyes widened with profound, celestial joy. "Alistair, set the jump-drive right now! We are going to Vega!"

"Plotting the jump-coordinates through the Platinum Slipstream, Boss!" Alistair yelled, typing frantically on his console.

"Probability vectors: one hundred percent clear," Chloe laughed, spinning her revolvers back into her pockets.

Holding Rin’s hand securely in his grip under the golden starlight of the unsealed galaxy, Noah Kurtz turned toward the forward viewports.

The battle of Orion-9 was finished.

The Diamond Tier Horizon had opened—and the Ashen Sovereign was ready to reclaim his empire.
