INFINITE MEMORIES : MY F-RANK SKILL IS ACTUALLY THE STRONGEST

Chapter 104: THE VOID STARLANES

<Chapter - 104 The Void Starlanes>

The central bridge of the Void Sovereign VII hummed with the steady, deep vibration of three-mile-long star-iron engines.

Through the massive forward panoramic viewport, the blue and white curve of Earth—Terra-Zero—receded into a serene, glowing sphere of azure oceans and emerald continents. Beyond the upper stratosphere, the pitch-black ocean of the cosmic void opened wide, illuminated by millions of brilliant, unblinking stars, swirling nebulae of violet stardust, and the glowing jade lanes of ancient interstellar travel routes.

Inside the command chamber, the air was warm, filtered to a clean, crisp baseline by the ship’s 14th-Cycle life-support conduits.

"Boss! Boss, look at the celestial navigation matrix!" Alistair Vance cried out, his hands dancing across a floating ring of golden holographic glyphs above the main star-table.

Alistair had abandoned his tweed coat, wearing a rolled-up linen shirt with grease-stained suspenders. In the center of the navigation table sat a newly installed brass espresso percolator, hooked directly into the dreadnought’s primary geothermal cooling valve.

"The ship’s automated logs just unsealed their deep-space transit records!" Alistair blurted out, slurping a fresh cup of dark roast with manic, electric enthusiasm. "The Seventh Void Sect isn’t just a rogue scavenging armada, Boss! They are part of the Void Harvester Coalition, an interstellar empire spanning three star sectors! And according to this distress beacon Malakor fired before we broke his thruster... an entire frontline battle fleet is currently massing at the Starlight Bastion of Orion-9!"

"How many ships, Alistair?" Chloe Harrington asked from the command dais.

Chloe was lounging backwards in the secondary navigator’s armchair, her boots resting lazily on the obsidian console. She wore her dark leather duster over her shoulders, casually spinning one of her dead platinum revolvers around her knuckles with rhythmic, metallic clicks. Her amber eyes, reflecting the glow of the star-map, carried a sharp, rebellious gleam.

"Forty-two dreadnoughts and two planetary siege cruisers!" Alistair yelled, waving his coffee spoon wildly. "Forty-two! That’s enough kinetic firepower to glass an entire continent in three minutes!"

"Probability lines are clustered around the jump-gate, Boss," Chloe remarked, flipping her silver coin into the air and catching it with a crisp, effortless snap. "If we fly through the standard transit corridor, their fleet will bracket our entry coordinates before our shields even finish cycling. The odds of a direct frontal ambush are sitting at ninety-four percent."

Jiho Park, who had found a comfortable pile of padded flight cushions in the corner of the bridge, let out a long, contented yawn.

The S-Rank Juggernaut had unbuttoned the collar of his cotton shirt and was holding a colossal metal mixing bowl filled with cold beef brisket and pickled radishes. His faded slide sandals were tucked neatly beneath his seat, his thick toes wiggling lazily against the warm deck.

"Man," Jiho mumbled around a mouthful of brisket. "Master, forty-two big ships sounds like a lot of metal. But if they’re all made of that star-iron Malakor was wearing, I bet I can crush their engines pretty easily. As long as the kitchen on this spaceship stays stocked with meat, I can fight all forty-two of them."

"Don’t eat the entire brisket before we even leave orbit, Jiho," Chloe laughed softly, rolling her eyes. "You’ve been chewing for two straight hours."

"Chewing builds core density, Chloe," Jiho grunted with total, unshakeable seriousness. "It’s science."

Standing at the very center of the elevated command platform, looking out through the massive glass viewport into the infinite expanse of the stars, was Noah Kurtz.

His dark woolen coat hung loose over his shoulders, his hands shoved casually into his pockets. Pinned over his left lapel, the ironwood leaf brooch absorbed the soft celestial starlight, glinting with a warm, steady golden luster. Underneath his sleeves, his black ironwood forearm guards circulated his Platinum Archive Authority in a silent, zero-waste loop.

Beside him, standing close enough that her shoulder brushed gently against his arm, was Rin Asakura.

Rin wore her soft lavender kimono, the deep navy trim catching the starlight like shimmering silk. Her simple wooden practice sword rested at her left hip.

Her crystalline violet eyes looked out through the vast glass viewport into the cosmic void.

For Rin, seeing the stars for the first time in her life was a quiet, breathtaking wonder. She did not just see points of white light; through Asura’s Touch merged with her unsealed void-sight, she mapped the subtle gravitational waves of distant galaxies, the rhythmic pulse of dying suns, and the shimmering currents of space-time flowing like a river across the dark.

Slowly, Rin reached out, her delicate fingers sliding smoothly into Noah’s right palm.

Her pale hand was soft and warm. She interlocked her fingers with his, leaning her head gently against Noah’s shoulder as they stood together beneath the infinite canopy of the heavens.

"The silence of the void is vast, Noah..." Rin whispered softly, her melodic, formal cadence carrying an intimate, breathtaking sweetness that melted into the quiet bridge. "It feels like a realm waiting to be remembered."

Noah turned his head slightly, looking down into her violet eyes. A rare, genuine tenderness softened his steel-gray gaze. He gently squeezed her hand, his thumb stroking across her knuckles with quiet, unyielding protection.

"It remembers, Rin," Noah spoke softly, his flat, rasping whisper carrying the calm authority of an ancient ruler. "In the 14th Cycle, before the Cataclysm fractured the stars, the Ashen Cabinet built transit paths across every sector. The Void Harvesters think these stars belong to them... but they are only squatting in the ruins of our old halls."

Rin turned her face up toward his profile, a serene, breathtaking smile curving her pale lips.

"Then let us show them the true masters of the house, Noah," Rin murmured, her fingers tightening their gentle, devoted hold around his.

Noah looked back toward the star-table, his steel-gray eyes narrowing with sharp, clinical precision.

"Alistair," Noah commanded flatly.

"Yes, Boss?!" Alistair snapped to attention, nearly spilling his espresso.

"Override the standard jump-gate coordinates," Noah said smoothly. "Input the pre-Cataclysm Imperial Vector: Axis 0-14-Omega."

Alistair blinked, his fingers flying across the holographic console as he input the coordinates. "Axis 0-14-Omega...? Wait... sacred mother of copper gears! Boss, that’s not a standard trade lane! That’s an ancient Ashen Sub-Space Slipstream! It bypasses the Orion-9 blockade entirely and exits directly behind their flagship’s blind spot!"

Chloe sat up in her chair, a broad, rebellious grin lighting up her face as she spun her platinum revolvers. "A back-door jump straight into their rear command deck? Now that’s what I call bad luck for the bad guys."

Jiho swallowed his last piece of brisket, wiped his hands on a clean napkin, and stood up from his cushions, cracking his knuckles with a deep, echoing pop. "Ready when you are, Master. Let’s go see these forty-two ships."

Noah looked at his squad—Alistair grinning over his console, Chloe flipping her silver coin, Jiho standing like an immovable wall in his slide sandals, and Rin leaning against his arm with unconditional, fearless love in her violet eyes.

Noah raised his left hand, touching the faceted command sphere on the central console.

Circulate.

Inside Noah’s meridians, his 3.10% Platinum Authority surged through the dreadnought’s primary warp engines. The massive star-iron hull hummed in pure, resonant synchronization, its thrusters igniting with brilliant platinum-white light.

[Ashen Sovereign Slipstream: Engaged]

BOOM—!

The space before the Void Sovereign VII folded open into a shimmering rift of starry, platinum energy.

With a single, soundless glide, the three-mile dreadnought shot into the sub-space slipstream, vanishing from Earth’s orbit and hurtling across the cosmos toward the Orion-9 sector.

Holding Rin’s hand tightly in his grip under the golden lights of the bridge, Noah Kurtz led the Shadow Vanguard into the deep cosmic sea—ready to reclaim the lost throne of the Ashen Sovereign.
