THE BOYS: The Wrong Main Character

Chapter 115 : Type of Woman (2)

A massive hand clamped down on Mark’s bicep like a vice.

Todo hadn’t moved an inch, but the grip alone had enough force to crack concrete.

"Age is completely irrelevant in the battlefield of brotherhood!" His voice rattled the nearby windows as he leaned in, scarred face burning with sincerity.

"A man’s taste in women reflects the core of his soul! If your soul is boring, then you are boring. And I despise boring men!"

Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara stood frozen. Mai rolled her eyes in the background, already tired of her classmate.

"So I will ask you one last time, teacher," Todo demanded, cursed energy flaring around him. "What is your type of woman?!"

Mark didn’t flinch. He just turned his head slowly, looking at the hand on his jacket.

He stared at it for a long second.

Then, with the effort of a man brushing off a mosquito, he pinched Todo’s wrist between two fingers and pulled.

Todo’s eyes went wide. He braced, poured cursed energy into his grip — it didn’t matter. Mark’s strength was on a level that made resistance pointless. The fingers came off his jacket effortlessly, and his arm got shoved aside like he was a toddler.

"My type," Mark said flatly, "is a woman who pays her taxes on time, has a steady credit score, and never wakes me up before noon on a Sunday."

Todo stood frozen, staring at his own hand.

"Now," Mark sighed, pocketing his hands and turning away. "If you’re done projecting your weird brotherhood stuff onto strangers, we’re getting breakfast. Come on, brats."

Yuji blinked, snapping out of it. "Wait, teach, that’s your type? That sounds like a bank teller."

"Financial stability is incredibly attractive, Yuji," Mark grumbled, already walking. "You’ll understand when you have a mortgage."

Todo kept staring at his wrist, gears grinding. A woman who pays taxes? A steady credit score?

His face twisted into disappointment. "Boring..." A surge of cursed energy rolled off him. "Absolutely, unforgivably boring!"

Mai pinched the bridge of her nose. "Here we go."

"Your physical strength is incredible, but your soul is dead!" Todo roared, ripping his shirt open to reveal an absurdly muscular frame.

"A man who seeks only comfort and stability has lost the fire of youth! I, Aoi Todo, will beat the passion back into you!"

He lunged, crossing the distance in a blink, a fist loaded with enough force to shatter a rock. Yuji gasped. Megumi dropped into a stance, ready to summon the Divine Dogs.

Mark didn’t raise a barrier. Didn’t even take his hands out of his pockets. He just sighed and tilted his head an inch to the left.

The punch sailed past his ear and cracked the pavement behind him.

Todo didn’t stop — he pivoted straight into a flurry of hooks, uppercuts, sweeping kicks.

Mark weaved through all of it, lazy and minimal, leaning and swaying like he was dodging puddles instead of lethal strikes. Every hit missed by a hair.

After slipping under a roundhouse, Mark stepped back, putting ten feet between them.

"To tell you the truth," he said, deadpan, "I can see two minutes into the future. So I already know exactly where every punch lands before you throw it."

Todo froze, trying to process it.

Yuji scratched his head. "Um, teach? Is it really okay to just tell the enemy that?"

Mark yawned. "Of course. What’s better than confusing your enemy by making them think you can read every move?"

Megumi realized instantly Mark was making it up just to mess with him.

"Of course I have a real type of woman," Mark added, brushing dust off his sleeve. "I just told you that to piss you off."

Before Todo could react, the sharp click of a revolver hammer cut through the courtyard. Mai had run out of patience. She drew her gun, leveled it at Yuji’s chest, and pulled the trigger without hesitation.

BANG.

Yuji didn’t even have time to flinch. The shot tore through the air, straight for his heart.

It never got there.

The space folded. Mark didn’t step — he was just suddenly there, in front of Yuji, arm raised, fist closed around empty air. A thin trail of gunpowder smoke curled off his fingers.

He opened his hand. A crushed bullet sat in his palm.

The sleepy droop in his eyes vanished, replaced by something cold. He could feel the cursed energy packed into the shell — not a warning shot. A kill shot, aimed straight at Sukuna’s vessel.

The courtyard went dead silent. The playful mood evaporated, replaced by a crushing pressure bleeding off Mark’s shoulders.

Mai stood a few yards off, watching the man who’d just plucked her attack out of the air with two fingers.

She lowered the smoking barrel and shrugged. "My bad. My finger slipped."

Mark stared at the bullet a second longer, then closed his fist. It crumbled to dust and drifted off on the breeze.

He let out a long sigh, the cold gone from his eyes, back to his usual annoyed drift. "This is why I hate teenagers. Zero impulse control."

Mai scoffed, twirling the gun. Before Megumi or Nobara could even address the fact that a first-year had just nearly been assassinated in broad daylight, a shadow fell over the group again.

Todo, ignoring all of that entirely, stepped forward, face trembling with renewed intensity.

"You lied to piss me off..." His fists slammed together, the shockwave rattling windows. "Then answer me, teacher! What is your real type of woman?!"

Mark looked up at him, completely flat. "Women with big boobs, a big ass, and a slim waist."

Dead silence.

Nobara’s jaw dropped in disgust. Megumi buried his face in his hand, groaning.

Todo froze. His lip started to quiver. A tear rolled down his scarred cheek, and every trace of cursed energy vanished, replaced by something warm and overwhelming.

"Best friend..." he whispered, voice cracking.
