099: Main Quest IV
Chapter 99
“Akh toon!”
“Piahn!!”
I could hear someone screaming and calling out to me. I couldn’t make out what they were saying, but I could hear they were calling out to me, in urgency at that.
As I opened my eyes, my gaze fell on a beautiful woman. At first, the image was foggy, and I couldn’t make out anything, but then my eyes cleared, and all I could manage to catch was the sand in the background, blown by strong gusts of wind.
As for the woman whom I had never seen before, she said something to me, something I couldn’t quite make out. Her expression was marred with worry, and her words carried urgency, as if telling me to get up quickly.
And then, all the way there in the back, my eyes fell on something I had seen before.
A monster.
“Gi ru an ho.”
I could see the lips of the monster move, not even being able to make out the full image of it. But the words, they were stuck in my heart.
And then…
“Tyler!!”
My eyes suddenly snapped open. I could feel my back, no, my entire body, cold. I could feel sweat flowing down everywhere. It was very obvious what one would think was happening to me.
“Are you okay?” I heard Aunt Elise’s voice, who looked at me worriedly.
“I…” I opened my mouth to reply, but couldn’t find the words. What was I dreaming about again? I forgot. No matter how hard I strained my mind, I couldn’t remember anything. I could, however, remember one thing.
“The second circle has been achieved.”
The words involuntarily left my mouth.
“The second what?” Aunt Elise asked. I looked at her, not sure of what I had said myself, and in confusion, I could only say, “Nothing.”
“…” Aunt Elise looked at me wordlessly for a minute and then said, “Well, you obviously had a bad dream. Take a shower to cool your mind and then come down for lunch.”
I nodded. Now that my mind was awake, I could properly register her words, and then it clicked…
“Wait, lunch?” I asked.
“That’s right, young man. Someone had a night so intense they were practically passed out on their bed.” Aunt Elise said.
‘Passed out?’ I repeated the words inwardly. That wasn’t possible. Ever since I had awakened, my sleep had been kept to a minimum, so that even a three-hour sleep would refresh me fully. Not only that, even the slightest sound was enough to wake me up from the deepest slumber.
Only one thing could be meant by that.
I immediately checked the system when Aunt Elise left.
[Full cleansing is now complete]
[The first milestone has been achieved]
[A second circle has been formed]
[For achieving the first milestone, all dragon abilities would be enhanced]
[Passive skill: Dragon’s charm is now level 2]
[Effect: Charm +10]
[Passive skill: Dragon’s physique is now level 2]
[Effect: All physical stats +10]
[Passive skill: Dragon’s power is now level 2]
[Effect: Intelligence +10]
[You have obtained complete immunity to all kinds of poison]
[Skill points +20]
[Skill points: 30]
[Note: Skill points can be used to raise the level of the upgradeable skills]
[Passive skills cannot be raised with skill points]
[You can now become a fledgling draconian]
[Racial traits have been halted due to the dominance of human characteristics]
[Would you like to override your human DNA and replace it with dragon characteristics?]
[Yes\No]
Woah. Woah. Woah.
It suddenly went from stat increase to something pretty serious in a minute. What did it mean to become a dragon? Was that something that came with the system?
What were the pros or the cons?
There was nothing. I seriously wished this thing came with a guide or something.
As if sensing my dilemma, the system operated once again as it had done before, but never held a full conversation.
[If the user wishes to become a dragon, all dragon-related abilities would be significantly enhanced]
[If the user chooses to remain a human, no significant changes would occur]
“…” I waited for a while for something else to come, but nothing did. Getting the best of my curiosity, I ended up asking, “What would I gain if I chose to become a dragon?”
[At the current level, a skill to convert to a draconian, a half-dragon, would be granted]
[Conversion would grant higher defense, enhanced physical abilities, enhanced vision, enhanced mana pool, and a short-term fly skill that consumes mana]
“…” To be honest, I was stuck at this point. The choice was whether or not to become a dragon. Would becoming one come with pros? Of course, it would. There was no way there were no side effects to that. There would be, but I didn’t know what to do about it.
So, I asked another question…
“Is it possible to attain all of that but keep my human nature and characteristics?” I asked.
[Affirmative]
[While it is possible to retain your human DNA and also obtain all those abilities]
[It is not possible to use them to their full potential]
[And the attained reward would be significantly lower compared to the rest]
[Would you like to continue in this direction?]
[Yes\No]
I thought for a while. Like, really thought. Under the shower, I spent about fifteen minutes coming to a decision, and finally, I said, “I’ll go with the second option. Retain my human DNA and downsize the reward.”
[Acknowledged]
[Would you like to focus on a specific reward?]
Once again, I thought for a while, and only one choice came to mind.
“Higher mana pool,” I replied. I wanted to go with higher defense or something cool like dragon eyes that saw through everything, but there were alternative means to those. But a higher mana pool was something I craved the most at the moment. There were items in the shop that increased the mana pool upon equipping them, but they were too expensive for the current me. I could barely afford a defense skill; I wouldn’t be able to afford those.
[Acknowledged]
[Acquisition would be processed after forty-eight hours]
[Please go about your daily life in the meantime]
I sighed and exited the shower, looking at everything that was going on. I used [Cleanse] on the sheets that were reeking of my sweat, and although they didn’t smell that way at all, they would in a couple of hours, and then Aunt Elise would have to wash them.
While I did so, I also checked the final thing that was on the system checklist.
[Main Quest IV]
[Three stars]
[Description: Now that you have achieved the second circle and the first milestone, it is time for you to seriously dive into the world of the strong.
You are still a fledgling, but you are now a strong fledgling.
Well, a fledgling still.
Time for you to lose your fledgling title and become strong]
[Task: Raise your abilities to three stars]
[Raise strength to 200]
[Raise agility to 200]
[Raise stamina to 200]
[Raise intelligence to 200]
[Reward: Four master rank cards]
[Failure: All skills stripped]
[Time limit: Ten months]
I took a deep breath and sat down on my bed, my body still wet from the shower. I looked at the quest and then moved on quietly, knowing the quests weren’t something I needed to worry about now.
[Skill: Restoration]
[Effect: Restores all penile functions]
[Skill: Pride of a man]
[Effect: Delays your ejaculation until you require it]
[Be cautioned: The longer the delay, the higher the ejaculation once the skill ends]
[Certain effects can take place depending on where ejaculation occurs]
That was something. I hadn’t checked that skill yet, not even once. But had I known about it, I would have used it last night when Carol was treating me at her mercy. Well, with how things were going on, it made sense why I never thought of that. I probably forgot about something else as well.
As for the reward of the third quest, the reward was actually kind of strange.
[Partner safety]
The description of the skill was a bit long, so I skipped to the effect part.
[Effect: Your semen heals your partners]
How to use it or what to do with it was never mentioned. Just that it healed my partners. Well, from the word partner, it must only mean those who were partnered with me through the system. At the moment, only Sara and Sasha were eligible for that. I guess I would have to test it on them to find out what potential this skill really has.
“Haa…” I sighed. I felt like with all of this going on, I was forgetting something.
That was when something clicked in my head.
Lunch, after, tomorrow, today, Mira.
My ears perked up, and I immediately heard the sounds of moaning. I shot up straight, looked out the window, and my gaze went straight for the pool house. That was the source of those moans. I immediately put on my shorts and boxers and jumped out the window, afraid the golden opportunity would be gone.
Thankfully, it wasn’t, and what I saw made my breath hotter and my faith in God stronger.
