Chapter 91: Always You
The celebration went on till the night. Good dishes were served as the soldiers ate well and could actually relax without worrying about the battle tomorrow.
With what happened today, a week will likely go by without war, giving these soldiers enough time to rest and recover from some of their injuries.
Ronan smiled as he saw this. Even Yen and Hesa felt relaxed as they were given a separate tent for the three of them.
The base was quite short of tents, giving the three of them one tent was the limit, so Ronan, Hesa, and Yen had to rest in it.
"Ah, Master, your leg..."
"Hesa, can you move your butt?"
"Girls, your..."
"Shut up!"
"Oh..."
At the end, Ronan was stuck in the middle as the women’s legs and bodies were sprawled across his body. He took a deep breath.
It was hard for him to sleep, especially with the women’s clothes. Ronan looked down at the standing pole and sighed.
Difficult...
That night, Ronan could barely sleep until it was morning.
The next day was quite wonderful as laughter echoed. Most of the soldiers were already awake, with some already preparing to put on their armor until they realized there was no war today.
Everyone looked at one another with the same smile. Their bodies couldn’t relax in these days, but now they had a rare peace as everyone started the day. It seemed the general was happy as good food and increased rations were given to everyone, and the soldiers pleaded to the gods that this day should never end.
Ronan came out with a sad expression as the two girls woke up feeling rather relaxed. Their sleep had been quite refreshing.
Seeing the soldiers full of smiles made Hesa smile as well. She missed this a lot.
"Come, go on." Just then, she felt a slight tap on her shoulder as Ronan spoke.
"What?" Hesa asked as Ronan raised an eyebrow, a sly smile on his face.
"I know you miss the military life you had back then, so take this time and relive those days," Ronan spoke as Hesa furrowed her brows.
Yes, she missed those days. She had basically grown up in the barracks. She missed the drills, the spars, and all of it. And at this base camp, she could feel it once more.
So maybe she should do so.
"Okay..." Hesa replied.
"What about you?" Hesa asked as Ronan smiled.
"Enjoying nature. Besides, Yen and I have some things to talk about," Ronan spoke as Yen lowered her head.
Hesa sensed something was wrong as she looked at the two.
"Alright, don’t take long. And Yen..." Hesa paused, her eyes narrowing.
"If he tries anything, tell me," Hesa said as Yen nodded while Ronan felt cold down there as he clamped his two thighs together.
Dangerous. This chick is dangerous.
Ronan and Yen left and retreated to the forest behind them.
Only when they were a few kilometers away did the two stop.
At their front was a small stream. The water was clean, and small fish could be seen in it.
The grass was vibrant, and the wind blew roughly around them.
"Yen..." Ronan sat down beside a tree. Beside him, Yen sat, her fingers fidgeting.
"Y-yes, Master..." Yen said, her face blushing.
She knew what Ronan wanted to talk about. It was about that night and what happened between them.
For so long, she had tried to ignore it, forget about it, and maybe it was better not to talk about it, but it seemed Ronan wanted to say one or two things.
"I understand at this point that you are still going over your feelings, and maybe that was your first contact with the opposite gender. But I swear, I will protect you, even if you aren’t ready to make it official."
"I also share your worries about Hesa and our team. You want to keep it strong, so do I, but you come first before any other thing. If I had to choose between both, you would always come first. So, when you are rea..." Ronan’s words were cut off as he looked at Yen, who was just inches away from him.
Their two faces were so close. He could feel her hot breath hitting his face as Yen removed the necklace around her neck.
Her true appearance was revealed as Ronan suddenly felt his heartbeat accelerate.
Yen moved her hands as she removed the necklace around Ronan’s neck. Her heart raced as she looked at the handsome face with white hair looking back at her.
The two felt time slow down, their eyes lost in each other’s as only their pounding hearts could be heard.
"I..." Yen moved closer to Ronan as she opened her lips, her body heating up.
Ronan felt dizzy from the hot breath. He felt he could hardly hold back, his throat was dry as he moved.
The two fell as, soon enough, their clothes were gone.

At the base camp...
Hesa was with the soldiers. At first, it was awkward. She was new, a supposed adventurer and at the Sovereign Realm. Being among these Transcendent Realm soldiers felt... somehow.
But soon, things worked out as someone asked Hesa about her story as an adventurer.
They were cautious, after all. She was at the same position as their commanders, but maybe because of their excess happiness, they couldn’t help but ask.
Hearing this, Hesa smiled as the soldiers’ heavy hearts calmed down. She started her tales, and to the shock of the soldiers, Hesa was actually not from this kingdom at the beginning. She came from another kingdom and lived all her life in the base camp.
So she told them tales of her life in the military, and it was familiar with what they knew as the soldiers all laughed in a joyous atmosphere, the awkwardness and tension were erased.
Anyways, no one knew the stories of the adventurers Hesa, Yen, and Ronan stole their identities from, so Hesa could create one.
And so, from morning to dusk, Hesa drank liquor once more and had the time of her life with the soldiers, who were in awe of her.
