The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 80: Three Race

Ronan, Yen, and Hesa only stopped when they were a considerable distance away.

The trio were in a dark alleyway, but in this area, it didn’t seem to be anything surprising.

Beggars were beside the road, small-stall owners chased them away, thieves ran around as the guards tried their best to keep everything calm but failed.

It was similar to the slums in Ronan’s last life.

He took a deep, sharp breath as he looked at the other two girls around him.

They had different expressions.

For Hesa, it was surprise. Although she was close to being an orphan, she had been an orphan in a capital filled with nobles.

She knew nothing of how the world could be for someone at the bottom.

As for Yen, she had started from the bottom, and through her journey of revenge, she had lived and experienced life as a poor person.

This was how life was for them, and seeing the expression of shock on Hesa’s face told her a lot.

"Now, let’s try and understand this continent."

Seeing the two, Ronan couldn’t help but speak.

Hearing this, the two nodded as Ronan walked to the entrance of the alleyway and grabbed a random passerby.

"Hey."

The man said, surprised.

Who would yank him into an alleyway?

Could it be he was about to be robbed?

"Look, I have got no money on me. There’s no need to kill me, except you want my wife and my kids to starve, so please leave me alone. You can try your luck with some passing nobles, okay?"

The man spoke with frustration.

He was already used to this kind of life, so he wasn’t too surprised by it.

This was how life was for those in this low-level area.

The closer one was to the inner city, the better life was, and for them, at the far edge, it was the place for beggars, lowlifes, and criminals.

Robbery was a common everyday experience.

Even murder was common, so he wouldn’t struggle.

And to top it off, he really had nothing.

He was going to meet his boss at work today to demand one or two compensations.

But then he was met with silence.

What happened?

This alleyway was dark, and he couldn’t see the face of whoever had dragged him in or where they were.

Anyway, it didn’t matter.

What he just wanted to do at this moment was get out.

It seemed the thief had given up, right?

But why were his hands still around him?

Let him go already, damn it!

"Hello."

"Look, search me. I really don’t have anything on me."

He spoke again, but like before, there was only silence.

Just before he could speak, a cold male voice echoed in his ears.

"Tell us everything about this continent. Then this city. Tell us about its power structure and how long you have lived here."

The voice was magnetic as he felt his consciousness slip away.

Before the man could react, he saw two crimson eyes and was lost in them.

[Ding! One controlled slot has been used. Host has gained a slave.]

The system notification rang out as Hesa and Yen surrounded them, surprised by Ronan’s ability.

"My name is ****. I have lived for 30 years. I was born in Sunbao City. Sunbao City is part of the Korem Kingdom, which is one of the many kingdoms under the Empire."

"The Empire is the central force of the human race, containing many supreme powers that fight against the other two powers on this continent."

The man began.

His voice was mechanical in nature as he spilled everything he knew.

Each word he said made everyone stunned as Yen, Hesa, and Ronan’s eyes gradually widened in shock.

By the time the man was done, the three were baffled and frightened.

Like they had guessed, they were not in the same continent anymore.

They had passed through and come to a middle-level continent with an Empire as the central power.

Kingdoms like the Destal Kingdom were not the leaders but subordinate powers spread across this massive continent.

Also, unlike before, where only the human race was present fighting the Jova race members, now, in this continent, there were two other races that had civilizations similar to humanity.

The first was the orc race.

The second was the elves.

Both races were as strong as humanity, and the trio wanted control over this continent.

The orcs had the larger territory and almost matched humanity population-wise, while the elves were smaller in size but were the strongest.

At first, it was just the humans and orcs vying for power, but then the elves got involved when their territory became part of what the two races wanted to conquer.

Now, the three races were in a long war that had been ongoing for at least thousands of years.

The worst part was the power structure of the world.

It caused Ronan, Yen, and Hesa to become more cautious.

In this continent, every city had a mayor, and the mayor was at least at the King Realm.

For a kingdom like the Korem Kingdom, which this city was under, they had various Supreme Realm beings and a few beings above them.

This was when Ronan realized what realm was above the Supreme Realm.

It was known as the Legend Realm.

These beings were already capable of destroying a kingdom easily, and their battles stretched as far as thousands of miles.

They were known as beings who carved their names into the history and could live for thousands of years at a time, enough to suppress millennia.

But that wasn’t all.

The highest power on this continent was called Saint.

Beings capable of fundamentally suppressing eras at a time.

They said a race with a Saint could enjoy hundreds of thousands of years of prosperity.

That was how terrifying the Saints were.

And the three races actually had a Saint.

By the time the man was done, Ronan, Hesa, and Yen realized just how insignificant their Sovereign Realm strength was.

They were nothing but ants.

Frogs looking at the sky from the bottom of a well.

"What... what do you mean?"

Hesa asked, her voice shaky.

Even Yen was stunned, but she had more drive than fear.

For her, she wanted to possess the power of even a Legend Realm expert.

If she had been that strong back then, her sister wouldn’t have had to go through all of that.

She clenched her fists with newfound determination.

As for Ronan, he was excited.

Wasn’t this wonderful?

He actually had a chance to gain two new Traits from races with hundreds of thousands of years of development and massive populations.

This was paradise.

"It has been decided."

Ronan laughed as he looked at the man.

"We are conquering this continent."

Both Yen and Hesa looked at him like he was a lunatic.

"Take me to your house. Now."

Ronan spoke with an excited expression.
