Chapter 67: My Destiny Is in My Hands
Crack!
Ronan crushed the last ghoul’s head before sitting down on the ground.
His body was completely spent, and his energy was almost gone. Every breath felt like a battle for his life.
Corpses were scattered across the ground, their flesh ripped apart.
But even though every breath seemed like a struggle against death, Ronan still had a wide smile on his face as he looked at his new stats.

Ronan had successfully broken through another realm, while his abilities had also improved tremendously.
It seemed this was the path meant for him.
Coming to the Abyss had definitely been the right choice.
"Let’s leave here and scout for a good enough place to rest."
Ronan spoke as Yen approached and helped him to his feet.
The three walked past the massive pile of corpses as they searched for a temporary place to rest while exploring the Abyss.
For Hesa and Yen, they had been humans their entire lives.
They had only ever heard about the Abyss and what it supposedly looked like.
But actually being here completely shattered everything they thought they knew.
Meanwhile, even though Ronan had been a ghoul in the Abyss, he had been serving a vampire and was taken to his master’s coven shortly after gaining intelligence.
He, too, couldn’t help but look around curiously.
The Abyss apparently had three gigantic red suns hanging in the sky.
The ground was dark, and the temperature was intense.
Yet for the three of them, it felt like a warm bath.
Their bodies almost seemed to groan with pleasure.
Just like the Javo Territory, the Abyss was filled with dark trees.
Across the landscape, rivers of magma flowed through the land, branching into countless streams.
Large mountains that pierced the sky could be seen in the distance.
Jagged hills and unpredictable terrain stretched across the Abyss as the roars of ghouls echoed through the surroundings.
Abyssal beasts roamed the land, forming a complete ecosystem.
Most of these beasts were weak, only reaching the first or second stars of the Transcendent Realm.
Eventually, Yen, Hesa, and Ronan settled in a relatively clean, open area inside a massive mountain.
This brief moment of peace allowed the three of them to sort through their thoughts.
Their lives had changed incredibly quickly.
Take Ronan, for example.
His entire life had been turned upside down.
He had died twice, become a ghoul, and gained a Trait Evolution System.
He had gained a master and for the sake of freedom, he had taken the opportunity presented to him and killed that master.
Now he had finally gained his freedom but he had discovered that even freedom came with a price.
In exchange for his freedom, he had gained the Locked Title and because of it, he had become a loner.
Ronan could guess that, apart from his Blood Servants, no Abyssal creature would willingly work with him. They would instead want to kill him instead and he couldn’t return to human society either.
To them, he was simply another undead.
That was how quickly his life had changed.
And now he had returned to the Abyss to hunt his kin, evolve his Traits, and reach the peak of the Transcendent Realm.
As for Yen...
She had gone from a girl who had been brutally taught the cruelty of the world to someone who finally felt loved for who she truly was by an undead.
Her own race had shown her the cruelty of life yet an undead had shown her that all life could be treated equally.
She had followed him and even though she hadn’t personally carried out her revenge, the Royal Family had helped her destroy the Duke Family.
For Yen, that was more than enough. She was finally learning how to live without being consumed by thoughts of revenge.
She was learning to live for herself.
As for Hesa...
Her life had changed abruptly, She had gone from a rising military genius to becoming the Blood Servant of an undead who had infiltrated a human kingdom.
Her old life was essentially gone and unlike Yen, who had willingly chosen to become an undead, Hesa had never been given a choice.
Her life had been forcefully taken away from her.
Her white hair rested across her shoulders as she stared at Ronan, her teeth gritted together in pure hatred.
In response, Ronan simply smiled.
His annoying voice soon echoed through the cave.
"Miss Hesa, frowning gives you wrinkles."
"You should learn to smile more."
Ronan teased.
Hesa snorted and looked away.
Just looking at Ronan disgusted her.
She wanted nothing more than to rip that annoying smile off his face.
Unfortunately, she knew she couldn’t.
She could never harm Ronan.
At least, not directly.
"Heh..."
"Rest for a while."
"Over the next few days, we’ll be going ghoul hunting."
Ronan declared.
"Yes, Master!"
Yen replied excitedly.
Her smile made Ronan’s heart race.
What a beautiful woman.
Yet when he looked at Hesa and her permanently annoyed expression, he couldn’t help but admit that she possessed a different kind of beauty.
Although, arguably, she would look even better if she smiled but who would smile when their entire life had been ruined right in front of them?
Ronan considered himself lucky that she even looked at him at all.
"Tch."
Ronan lay down on the ground.
His tiny heart finally became steady as his crimson eyes stared toward the jagged ceiling, wondering what the future held for him.
Once, Ronan had been the weakest ghoul ever and Now he was a Ghoul Lord at the Seven-Star Transcendent Realm.
Once, Ronan had been a worker on Earth, worked nearly to death.
Once, Ronan had been the only son of a family cursed to die before the age of thirty.
But now...
"My destiny is in my hands."
Ronan raised his palm as though he could reach the jagged ceiling of the cave.
Then he slowly clenched his fist, a wide smile spreading across his face.
One day, his name would be known throughout existence.
One day, he would become the strongest.
And one day...
He would have the most terrifying harem in existence.
That was a dream he would achieve.
