"Long Ao, wait."

"Snake Princess, you need to understand something. If it weren’t for Brother Dugu, I wouldn’t be talking to you. Since you’re unwilling to reveal your identity, there’s no point in me staying."

Snake Princess chuckled and said, "Alright, I’ll tell you."

Long Ao was utterly speechless when it came to Snake Princess, but for Brother Dugu’s sake, he ultimately held back.

"Long Ao, do you know the identities of the Five Great Emperors?"

"I don’t."

"Eastern Emperor Luo Tian, West Emperor Nameless, Southern Emperor Zhou Chen, Northern Emperor Ye Feng, and Central Emperor Nangong Tu. I am West Emperor Nameless."

Just as he expected.

Hearing Snake Princess’s words, Long Ao wasn’t the least bit surprised, because he had already guessed her identity.

’If she wasn’t one of the Five Great Emperors, how could she appear in the City of Sin? Her strength is so mysterious and unfathomable that even I can’t sense it. There’s only one possibility—Snake Princess is a World Emperor Martial Artist, and one of the Five Great Emperors.’

’West Emperor Nameless?’

"So you have such a prestigious identity. You really kept us in the dark."

Shrugging helplessly, Long Ao didn’t feel the slightest bit of anger. ’Everyone has their own secrets,’ he thought. ’Since Snake Princess didn’t say anything, she must have had her reasons.’

"Long Ao, now that you know my identity, I advise you as a friend to leave the City of Sin as soon as possible. Otherwise, you’ll be in a lot of trouble."

Before Long Ao could speak, Snake Princess continued, "Don’t think you can dominate the City of Sin just because you killed Du Guanlin and Luo Bing. Long Ao, I can tell you plainly, the other Four Great Emperors are unfathomably powerful. You alone cannot possibly conquer the City of Sin."

Waving his hand, Long Ao smiled and said, "I’m well aware of that."

"Long Ao."

Not even waiting for Snake Princess to speak, Long Ao declared, "Snake Princess, I came to the City of Sin precisely to conquer it. Sooner or later, I will have to fight the Five Great Emperors. If I win, I become the ruler of the City of Sin. If I lose, the worst that can happen is death."

Seeing the unwavering determination on the young man’s face, Snake Princess heaved a deep sigh. "Long Ao, come with me."

Long Ao wasn’t worried in the slightest. He knew Snake Princess had no intention of killing him; otherwise, she would never have come to warn him.

The two of them went to a secluded tavern.

"Long Ao, do you know why the Five Great Emperors want to rule the City of Sin?"

"I don’t."

Hearing Snake Princess’s words, Long Ao’s interest was piqued. ’Could there be a reason why the Five Great Emperors want to rule the City of Sin? If so, I’m actually quite curious to find out what it is.’

"Long Ao, to be honest with you, twenty years ago, my master brought me to the City of Sin and discovered a shocking secret. It turns out there is a huge Treasure beneath the city. That’s why my master exhausted all his power to fight for control of the City of Sin, eventually becoming its ruler."

"After my master fell, I took his place as the new Emperor of the City of Sin. But for all these years, the five of us have been searching for the entrance to the Treasure, yet we’ve found no leads. That’s why the other Four Great Emperors would never give up control of the City of Sin."

So that was it.

"Snake Princess, I’m sure you know a thing or two about my situation. That being the case, I’ll get straight to the point. I am determined to take the City of Sin. No one, and I mean no one, will stop me."

Sighing deeply, she thought about how, despite not knowing Long Ao for long, she already understood his personality clearly. Once he made a decision, he would almost never change his mind.

"Snake Princess, given your relationship with Brother Dugu, I don’t consider you a stranger. Let’s join forces. I want the City of Sin, and you want the Treasure. We’ll each get what we need. How about it?"

’Join forces?’

Of course, Snake Princess wanted to join forces with Long Ao. Just as he’d said, her relationship with Dugu Bai was a factor. But she knew better than anyone just how powerful the other Four Great Emperors were. If she were to offend them, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Although Snake Princess said nothing, Long Ao naturally knew what she was worried about. After all, the power of the Four Great Emperors was undeniable. Never mind Snake Princess; even he, if he were in her shoes, might not agree to his own proposal.

"Long Ao, forgive me for being blunt, but it’s impossible for you to oppose the Four Great Emperors on your own. Even if I joined you, we still wouldn’t be a match for them."

Nodding, Long Ao acknowledged that he understood her meaning. He wasn’t delusional about his own abilities. With his current level of strength, it was indeed impossible to confront the Four Great Emperors.

But he was determined to conquer the City of Sin. Even if he knew it was impossible, he still had to try.

A powerful confidence and aura emanated from Long Ao as he said, "Snake Princess, thank you for coming to warn me. But I’ll say it again: I *will* conquer the City of Sin. We will meet again."

Long Ao didn’t stay any longer. He didn’t want to put Snake Princess in a difficult position, partly out of consideration for Brother Dugu.

Watching his retreating figure, Snake Princess’s eyes grew distant. A look of helplessness crossed her face as she muttered to herself, "This is Master’s dying wish. I can’t give it up. I’m sorry."

Leaving the tavern, Long Ao was exceptionally cautious. He didn’t need Snake Princess’s reminder to know that the Four Great Emperors wouldn’t let matters rest. They could come looking for trouble at any moment.

「In a secluded place.」

Inside the Dragon Seal Space, Long Ao got straight to the point. "Long Fu, try to sense if there’s a huge Treasure beneath the City of Sin."

Long Ao wasn’t an idiot. For something to be valued so highly by the Five Great Emperors that they were willing to guard it for more than a decade, one could only imagine what kind of Treasure lay beneath the City of Sin. It would be a lie to say he didn’t want it for himself. Long Ao admitted that he was no saint.

Long Fu replied, "Master, there is indeed something there, but it’s not a Treasure. It’s a sealed Great Emperor Spirit Beast. It’s incredibly ferocious. If it’s released, the consequences will be unimaginable."

Hearing this, Long Ao was stunned. He had never imagined that a Great Emperor Level Spirit Beast was sealed beneath the City of Sin. Just as Long Fu said, if the Seal were broken and it was released, the consequences would be catastrophic.

A lingering fear crept over Long Ao. Thank goodness he had asked Long Fu.
