War God Long Ao

Chapter 96: I Will Be Responsible for You

DRIP, DRIP, DRIP...

Inside the enormous stone cavern, tiny Water Drops dripped ceaselessly from the ceiling.

The entire cavern was supported by eight stone pillars, and its surrounding walls were carved with a series of patterns, one after another.

"Nghh!"

With a faint, pained groan, Ao Xue struggled to lift her eyelids. She opened her eyes, pushed herself up from the ground with great difficulty, and shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.

"You're awake?"

"You filthy scoundrel! I'll kill you!"

"Ah!" Just as she was about to strike, Ao Xue let out a sudden cry of pain and collapsed back onto her rear, her face contorted in agony.

"I'd save your strength if I were you." Long Ao had woken up a while ago. The fall had injured him badly, so he had focused on recovering. After several hours of recuperation, he was more or less able to move again.

Standing up, Long Ao gave a light stretch and walked toward the eastern wall, wanting to see just what kind of patterns were carved on the cavern walls.

"You filthy scoundrel, what did you do to me?" At that moment, Ao Xue let out a terrified cry. 'Even now... could it be? No... could it?'

Ao Xue didn't dare let the thought continue, her face a mask of anguish and despair. No woman could ever face something like this.

Long Ao, who had already started to walk away, sighed deeply. He turned around, his expression apologetic, and said, "I'm sorry. I don't know what happened either. All I can tell you is that I wasn't in control of myself."

"You filthy scoundrel! While I was unconscious, you actually..."

"I didn't! Our souls were both corroded by that mysterious voice. I'm sure you know what happened. I hope you won't be unreasonable."

"*I'm* being unreasonable?" Ao Xue shut her eyes, the fury and Killing Intent on her face erupting like a volcano.

Sighing deeply again, Long Ao didn't know what to do. What was done was done. After their souls were corroded by the mysterious voice and they fell into the cavern, they had inexplicably ended up together. When Long Ao woke up and found them both naked, he understood what had happened.

It was for this very reason that Long Ao was gritting his teeth against the waves of pain racking his body.

He shook his head helplessly. Even now, Long Ao felt frustrated. 'How did I end up in such a huge mess?'

Not dwelling on the issue, Long Ao walked over to the stone wall to observe the carved patterns.

Inside the cavern, there were a total of twelve patterns carved on the four walls—north, south, east, and west. The carvings were completely incomprehensible, but Long Ao had a strange feeling. The longer he stared at them, the more it seemed as if a power would shoot out from the patterns and invade his soul.

Greatly alarmed, he didn't dare to keep looking at the twelve patterns. But at that exact moment, Long Ao sidestepped, a blast of frigid Sword Qi grazing past him.

He didn't even need to turn around to know what had happened. Perhaps because he felt guilty, Long Ao didn't dodge the next attack and took a heavy palm strike from Ao Xue.

With a muffled grunt, Long Ao's body was sent flying backward, smashing violently into the wall with a loud THUD.

She seemed a bit stunned herself, as she never expected him not to dodge. But the thought of her body being violated by him filled Ao Xue with the urge to cut him down where he stood.

"I saved your life before, and now I've taken a palm strike from you. We're even. If you dare attack again, I won't be so courteous."

"Hmph. You think you're a match for me?" Ao Xue's face was filled with scorn and contempt. To her, an Evolutionary Martial Artist was nothing. After all, for Martial Artists, a gap in Realm was nearly impossible to overcome by other means.

Struggling to his feet, Long Ao felt like his entire body was about to fall apart. He was already in pain all over, and now, after taking that strike, the agony was splitting him apart. It was as if a dozen people were relentlessly hacking at him with sharp blades.

"You filthy scoundrel, how dare you defile my body! If I don't kill you today, I won't be able to live with myself!"

"Wait. You need to get one thing straight."

"You—" Seething with rage, Ao Xue's body trembled as she practically spat, "Are you even a man? You don't even have the guts to admit what you did. You're nothing but a filthy scoundrel, and I despise you."

"Don't have the guts? A filthy scoundrel? Today, I'll show you what a *real* filthy scoundrel is."

Being constantly called a filthy scoundrel had finally angered Long Ao. He shot forward from the left in a single leap. Before he even arrived, his Soul-Sealing Seal was already upon her. Ao Xue, who was already incandescent with rage, had no time to react before a Mysterious Power invaded and began to corrode her soul.

Shocked, Ao Xue didn't dare be the slightest bit careless. She immediately circulated all her power to resist the force corroding her soul. But at that moment, Long Ao reached her side and pulled her into his arms before she could react.

Long Ao had succeeded so easily mainly because Ao Xue was heavily injured and consumed by rage. Otherwise, the Soul-Sealing Seal alone would have had a hard time restraining her.

Mmph, mmph...

Long Ao completely ignored Ao Xue's muffled protests, cursing inwardly, 'You dare call me a filthy scoundrel again? I was kind enough to save you, and you call me a filthy scoundrel?'

And so, Long Ao kissed Ao Xue savagely for three minutes, only stopping when he himself was growing breathless.

"Filthy scoundrel! Filthy scoundrel!"

"You still dare call me a filthy scoundrel? I'll give you something to shout about!" He kissed her fiercely again, even more violently this time. He went on for a full ten minutes, nearly suffocating Ao Xue.

"Filthy scoundrel... filthy scoundrel..."

Every time Ao Xue cursed, Long Ao would kiss her savagely for several minutes. After this happened a few more times, Ao Xue finally fell silent, but her venomous eyes remained fixed on him.

Letting Ao Xue go, Long Ao said with great dissatisfaction, "Let me tell you something. Don't think you can just push me around. What happened between us wasn't what either of us wanted. But I'm a fair person. I'll take responsibility for you."
