War God Long Ao

Chapter 94: Are You Crazy?

With his Cultivation having smoothly broken through to the Peak of Evolution Realm, Long Ao finally breathed a sigh of relief.

After all, he hadn't been completely confident about entering the Thunder Forest for the Thunder Battle.

Regardless, of the more than four hundred participants in the Thunder Battle, a full half were Martial Artists who had reached the Evolution Realm. Over thirty had even broken through to the Fusion Realm.

"SQUEAK, SQUEAK..."

Just then, Long Ao heard squeaking sounds coming from his robes. Curious, he pulled the little creature out and stroked it dotingly.

This was the little dragon from Dragon Valley. There had been two Dragon Eggs in total; Long Ming had claimed the Fire Dragon Egg, while the remaining one had fallen into Long Ao's hands.

No one who saw the little creature would ever think it was a baby Giant Dragon—it looked exactly like a small snake. But Long Ao knew very clearly that this little guy he had obtained was a mutated Giant Dragon.

"Little guy, what's wrong?"

"SQUEAK, SQUEAK..."

Hearing the little creature's incessant squeaking, Long Ao grew completely frustrated, having no idea what it was trying to say.

"Master, I can understand what the little one is saying."

Long Ao's heart leaped with joy at Long Fu's words. He immediately asked, "Long Fu, what's wrong with the little guy?"

After listening for a moment, Long Fu seemed somewhat surprised. "Master, you and this little one are truly fated. He's just like you; you both have the Desolate Constitution. To advance and evolve, he'll need a vast amount of power for support. The little guy's meaning is simple: he needs power to prepare to evolve."

'A Desolate Constitution?'

'The little guy has a Desolate Constitution too?'

Hearing Long Fu's words, Long Ao was flabbergasted. He was all too familiar with the Desolate Constitution. It was lauded as the number one divine constitution, but also derided as the number one useless constitution. The reason was simple: possessing a Desolate Constitution required a tremendous amount of power for support. Otherwise, it was nearly impossible to make any progress in one's Cultivation.

Staring at the little creature with a miserable expression, Long Ao found it hard to imagine that it, too, had a Desolate Constitution. 'With both of us having this constitution, just how much power will we need to evolve and advance?'

"Master, this little one you've acquired is no ordinary creature. It's a mutated Giant Dragon. Once it's fully grown, it will become a formidable powerhouse. So, Master, I will assist you in helping the little guy continue to evolve."

With Long Fu's promise of help, Long Ao could breathe a little easier. After all, within the Dragon Seal Space lay a mysterious Blood Pool that could perform Refinement on souls, converting them into power that could be channeled into him.

Gazing deeply at the little creature in his arms, Long Ao smiled dotingly and said, "From now on, you're with me. We're family. I'll give you a name. You'll take my surname, Long. From this day forward, you'll be called Long Qiang. I hope that one day, you will become strong."

As if it understood Long Ao's words, the little creature squeaked with what sounded like laughter, seeming very pleased with its new name.

"From now on, I'll call you Xiaoqiang."

"Xiaoqiang, give your big bro a smile."

"SQUEAK, SQUEAK."

Two hours later, Long Ao left the valley. He never would have imagined that he would unexpectedly slay the Nine-headed Blood Python and then use Devouring on its Spiritual Power to raise his Cultivation to the Peak of Evolution Realm.

In the days that followed, Long Ao hunted down other participants everywhere he went, seizing their Soul Orders. He knew very well that in the Thunder Battle, there were no friends, only enemies.

To be merciful to one's enemies was to be cruel to oneself.

It was precisely for this reason that Long Ao showed not an ounce of pity. No matter who it was, he would strike ruthlessly the moment an opportunity presented itself. Now that his Cultivation had broken through to the Evolution Realm, he was more than a match for any One-Line Heaven or Evolutionary Martial Artist. He even had a fighting chance against a Fusion Martial Artist.

However, unless he had no other choice, Long Ao was unwilling to confront a Fusion Martial Artist.

"Hm?"

Having just killed three One-Line Heaven Martial Artists and obtained their three Soul Orders, Long Ao was about to look for more prey. Just then, the sound of a battle drifted over from not far away, accompanied by wild, scattering auras.

Curious, Long Ao dashed toward the source of the commotion. In no time, he saw a beautiful young woman being besieged by more than twenty tigers whose bodies were wreathed in flames.

'Red Flame Tigers. Innate Spirit Beasts whose strength is equivalent to a Fusion Martial Artist's. More than twenty Red Flame Tigers means more than twenty Fusion Martial Artists.'

Long Ao was shocked to see the beautiful young woman being besieged by over twenty Red Flame Tigers. Without a doubt, she had to be a Fusion Martial Artist as well.

After a moment's observation, Long Ao decided against intervening. They were in the Thunder Forest, amidst the Thunder Battle. Who knew who this woman was? He didn't want his kindness to be repaid with malice. However, even though Long Ao didn't want to get involved, something was about to force his hand.

He didn't know when it had happened, but a Red Flame Tiger had appeared behind him. It possessed the strength of a Fusion Martial Artist and emanated a chilling aura. Its eyes were locked coldly onto Long Ao as it approached step by step, ready to strike at any moment.

"Shit."

Cursing under his breath, Long Ao knew he had no choice now that things had come to this. Instead of fighting the Red Flame Tiger before him, he turned and shot quickly toward the beautiful young woman.

His terrifying aura preceded him.

Long Ao was no fool; he knew his own limits. With his current strength, forget facing more than twenty Red Flame Tigers at once—even dealing with two of them teaming up would be incredibly difficult for him.

For this very reason, Long Ao knew that if he wanted to get away safely, he had to end this fight quickly. If things dragged on, the consequences would be dire.

Soul-Sealing Seal! Long Ao unleashed over twenty Soul-Sealing Seals at once, which silently invaded the Red Flame Tigers' bodies. The attack was successful for two reasons. First, the tigers were focused entirely on attacking the beautiful woman, paying no mind to Long Ao. Second, they simply looked down on him; in the eyes of over twenty Red Flame Tigers, a mere human Evolutionary Martial Artist might as well not have been there at all.

Caught off guard, the faces of the twenty-odd Red Flame Tigers, who had been focused on attacking the woman, changed drastically. They immediately devoted all their strength to resisting the mysterious, bizarre power inside their bodies. This was a golden opportunity. If Long Ao wanted to, he could leave at any time. But he chose not to.

"Are you crazy? Let's go!"

Hearing the beautiful woman's words, Long Ao nearly tripped and fell flat on his face. But the current situation didn't allow for the slightest distraction. The Dragon Seal appeared in his hand, and he smashed it directly at a Red Flame Tiger.

CRACK! CRACK!

The Dragon Seal didn't manage to kill the Red Flame Tiger. At that moment, Long Ao's body shot forward. Arriving in front of one of the tigers, he instantly struck out with his palm. Netherworld Nine-Link Strike! Nine waves of Fist Force stacked on top of each other in an instant, smashing down with terrifying power onto the crown of the Red Flame Tiger's head.
