The Ultimate Devil's Magnificent CEO

Chapter 104: The Little Blue Pill

BANG!

A loud bang echoed as a crater appeared where Zhou Fan had just been standing, a testament to the shot's immense power!

PFFT!

PFFT!

The instant the Viper's dagger plunged into his abdomen, Zhou Fan, who had somehow produced a dagger in his left hand, viciously slit the Viper's throat!

"Actually, my left hand has been fine for a while now. You've been tricked!"

Zhou Fan gazed at the Viper, who, even in death, couldn't believe he had been stabbed by Zhou Fan's left hand. A cold smile touched Zhou Fan's lips, his voice devoid of all emotion.

BANG!

Just then, before Zhou Fan could even push away the Viper's corpse, another gunshot rang out. This one came from a different direction. Zhou Fan knew this had to be the second sniper the Viper had arranged.

With no time to react, he could only grab the Viper's body with his right hand and fling it in the direction of the sound. He then pushed off the ground with both feet, rolling away to the side.

A hole was blown straight through the Viper's corpse, and blood sprayed out as if it were free!

BANG!

But just as Zhou Fan's roll was about to come to a stop, another shot rang out!

Almost instinctively, Zhou Fan shot out his left foot, planting it where his body should have landed. He used the push to change his trajectory.

PFFT!

The next instant, blood spurted from his left calf. A wave of excruciating pain washed over him. Even someone like Zhou Fan nearly cried out. He quickly scrambled behind a large tree, his eyes filled with an unprecedented gravity.

The timing, the prediction, the accuracy—Zhou Fan identified the third sniper almost immediately.

Maten. Fifth on the international assassin rankings, a specialist in sniping who rarely missed. And his close-quarters combat skills were excellent, too.

Zhou Fan knew that even if he were uninjured, he might not fear Maten. But in his current state, his chances were slim.

But just as Zhou Fan was wondering how to escape, two more shots rang out from Maten's position.

After a moment's hesitation, a strange look appeared in Zhou Fan's eyes. The two bullets seemed to have been aimed at the locations of the two snipers the Viper had brought with him.

'What does this mean?'

'Is this guy repaying the favor he owes me?'

Zhou Fan had helped Maten once, but he didn't think Maten would do something like this.

'Otherwise, the bastard wouldn't have almost killed me just now!'

Therefore, Zhou Fan decided to wait. He would absolutely not show himself rashly.

After an unknown amount of time, a wolfdog ran over, dropped something from its mouth in front of Zhou Fan, and then turned and ran off.

The corners of Zhou Fan's mouth twitched. 'Damn it.' He recognized this dog. The time Maten had almost died was because he'd been trying to save it. Apparently, Maten felt a sort of karmic connection with the animal.

The wolfdog had brought two things: a piece of paper and a small, transparent vial containing five or six small, light-blue pills.

Looking at the little blue pills, Zhou Fan was inexplicably reminded of a time when he used to frequent bars. A lot of girls would pull out similar-looking pills and ask him, "Wanna take one?"

Without it, it was three thousand for the night. With it, six thousand.

Zhou Fan had always decisively refused back then. 'With my skills, who needs that stuff?' he'd thought.

Of course, Zhou Fan knew the pills in Maten's vial weren't that kind of drug. Maten might be eccentric, but he wasn't an idiot.

"Didn't kill you. You're lucky. Consider my debt repaid. These blue pills can heal injuries."

Zhou Fan rolled his eyes, speechless. He glanced at the hole shot through his left calf. 'Damn it. What kind of way is this to repay a debt?'

However, Zhou Fan didn't doubt Maten's words. He tipped out one of the blue pills and swallowed it.

The moment the pill entered his mouth, a burning sensation exploded inside him.

Another ten-plus minutes passed. After confirming that Maten and everyone else was gone, Zhou Fan slowly got to his feet. Cradling his left leg, he staggered toward the stream.

"Little Yaoyao, come on out! It's safe!"

Zhou Fan called out twice but got no response. His heart sank. Forgetting what the water might do to his wounds, he jumped straight in.

"Damn it, are you dead?!" When Zhou Fan reached the cave behind the waterfall, he saw Chen Yao standing there, staring straight ahead without blinking. Annoyed, he slapped her on the butt and cursed.

"Ah? Why did you hit me?" Chen Yao clearly hadn't noticed Zhou Fan's arrival. The slap almost scared her to tears. When she saw it was him, she was immediately indignant.

"Oh, right, did you win? Never mind, that's not important. Quick, come with me!" Chen Yao's mood was so jubilant that her words came out in a jumble. She grabbed Zhou Fan's hand and pulled him deeper into the cave.

After running for a dozen or so meters, they stopped. When Zhou Fan followed Chen Yao's gaze, he too froze, a rare look of disbelief in his eyes.
