Chapter 160: Crushing Battle
Kaiser didn’t hesitate. He immediately summoned all of his powerful undead. At this point, all of them had reached Level 200, and Kaiser only needed to complete his Rank-Up Trial to advance to Rank 2. However, now before doing that, he wanted to test whether he could defeat an opponent who possessed a Rule.
One after another, his summons appeared.
Garuk, the Snowlight Orc King, appeared first, followed by Selene, the Blood Rose Vampire Queen, Rachel, the Priestess of Ruination, his Gravity Slime, the Skeleton King, and finally the Corpse Lord.
And the New Lunar Wolf Emperor.
Alongside them, more than nine thousand undead emerged from Kaiser’s summons.
"I have around nine thousand lives thanks to my Death Transfer skill. I can transfer my injuries to my undead, so as long as I have enough undead, I don’t have to worry about dying," Kaiser explained.
Alex could only stare at the enormous undead army in disbelief.
"What the fuck? Why are you so strong?"
He then looked at Kaiser with even greater confusion.
"Wait, wasn’t your original Soul Bond a Light-type creature? Why do you have so many Death and Undead-type creatures?"
"It’s because of my Class. It’s related to Necromancy," Kaiser casually replied. "Anyway, I’ll explain the details later."
He then turned his attention toward his undead.
Selene suddenly spoke.
"A being at Rank 3 that can use a Rule will be extremely useful for us."
"What do you mean?" Kaiser asked.
Selene glanced toward him.
"Fighting a Rule wielder can help us comprehend and develop our own Rules as well."
The other undead nodded in agreement.
Kaiser understood immediately.
"I see."
He then looked toward his strongest summons.
"Alright. Selene, Rachel, Corpse Lord, Gravity Slime, Garuk, Luna and Skeleton King. All of you go and fight it."
The moment Kaiser finished speaking, the pets and undead immediately moved forward.
Selene’s pale figure floated through the air, her long hair drifting behind her as an ominous aura spread from her body. The others followed closely behind, heading directly toward the Sin of the Forest.
Kaiser remained behind with his massive undead army while Alex stayed beside him.
"Are you sure this will work?" Alex asked.
Kaiser nodded confidently.
"This might help us a little..."
His voice suddenly stopped.
His expression changed when he noticed something happening in the distance.
"Wait... what the fuck?"
In only a few seconds, hundreds of undead suddenly collapsed.
Kaiser stared at the scene in disbelief.
"Damn, your skill is really useful," Alex said as he watched the undead disappear one after another. "How many undead did you just lose?"
"He is damn powerful," Kaiser muttered, staring at the battlefield.
The Sin of the Forest was killing the undead so quickly that Kaiser could barely keep track of what was happening. It was as if he only needed to blink before another group of undead disappeared.
"It seems the Sin of the Forest really hates undead. It’s using its killing moves right from the start," Alex said.
Kaiser immediately realized that something was wrong.
"Not good. He’s coming for us."
The moment he finished speaking, Kaiser quickly recalled his summons.
"Let’s bail out!"
Alex nodded without hesitation, and the two immediately began retreating.
As they moved away, Kaiser recalled his remaining summons and absorbed them back into his undead army. At the same time, the surviving undead began retreating with them.
A terrifying roar suddenly echoed through the forest behind them.
Alex glanced backward.
"It seems he’s angry after losing his prey."
Kaiser frowned.
"That’s not good. He’s spotted us."
His expression became serious as he sensed the massive presence approaching from behind.
"Increase the speed. We’re not fighting him here."
Kaiser immediately ordered his undead army to move faster, and the entire group began fleeing through the forest while the enraged roar of the Sin of the Forest continued to echo behind them.
Kaiser immediately sensed the terrifying presence rapidly approaching from behind. The Sin of the Forest was closing the distance, and judging by the pressure it was releasing, it had no intention of letting them escape.
Kaiser’s expression became serious.
"Everyone, scatter!"
The moment his order was given, the undead army split apart and rushed in different directions. Thousands of undead spread throughout the forest, deliberately increasing the distance between one another while releasing their auras.
Kaiser wanted to see how the Sin of the Forest would react. If it relied on some kind of area-wide attack, scattering the undead would at least reduce the number he could lose at once or might as well distract him.
"Raise your auras and keep moving!" Kaiser ordered.
The undead obeyed immediately. Their dark auras surged through the forest as thousands of undead moved in different directions, creating a chaotic battlefield.
Alex looked at the scene with a complicated expression.
"What exactly are you planning?"
Kaiser kept his eyes fixed on the approaching presence.
"I’m trying to confuse that bitch."
He had already realized that fighting the Sin of the Forest head-on was extremely dangerous. Even his strongest summons had been unable to stop it from killing hundreds of undead within seconds.
However, Kaiser wasn’t planning to fight it recklessly.
If the Sin of the Forest possessed a Greater Rule of Corruption, then observing how that Rule worked could provide valuable information to both him and his undead.
Suddenly, the ground behind them began to tremble.
Boom!
A terrifying aura swept through the forest.
Several trees cracked under the pressure, while weaker undead immediately slowed down.
Alex’s expression changed.
"It’s here!"
Kaiser turned around and saw a massive figure moving through the trees at frightening speed.
The Sin of the Forest had finally caught up to them.
Its eyes locked onto the scattered undead army, and a strange green-black energy began gathering around its body.
Kaiser narrowed his eyes.
"So that’s the power of its Rule..."
The next moment, the monster raised one hand.
The surrounding forest suddenly changed.
The trees began twisting unnaturally, while the ground beneath the undead turned black.
Kaiser’s expression immediately became serious.
"Everyone, keep moving! Don’t let that energy touch you!"
The undead army scattered even further as the power of Corruption spread across the forest.
Kaiser watched carefully, trying to understand the mysterious Rule while simultaneously looking for a way to counter it.
If he couldn’t defeat the Sin of the Forest through brute force, then he would have to understand its Rule first.
After all, Kaiser had no intention of giving up just because his first attempt had failed.
