Chapter 149: Hollow Ground III
"This is much stronger. Do you need help?" Michael asked.
Kaiser shook his head.
"No. Let them handle it."
He nodded toward the side.
Selene, Rachel, the Corpse Lord, Gravity Slime, Skeleton King, and Garuk were already standing beside him.
The moment Kaiser gave them permission, they all rushed forward.
The Wraith King immediately raised its enormous sword.
"Kill them."
The ten Wraith Royal Knights moved at the same time.
Their bodies were covered in dark blue armor, and powerful spiritual energy surrounded their weapons.
The first Wraith Royal Knight charged toward Selene.
Selene calmly raised one hand.
Blood-red energy immediately appeared around her.
"Blood Rose Domain."
The ground beneath the Wraith Knight suddenly changed.
Countless Blood Roses emerged from the ground and wrapped around its legs.
The Wraith Knight swung its sword.
Slash!
The attack destroyed several Blood Roses, but more immediately grew in their place.
Selene’s eyes remained calm.
"You are too slow."
The roses suddenly pierced through the gaps in its armor.
The Wraith Knight released a roar as its spiritual body was covered by blood-red vines.
Selene clenched her hand.
The Blood Roses exploded.
Boom!
The Wraith Knight was thrown backward.
Before it could recover, Selene appeared directly in front of it.
Her hand was covered in blood energy.
"Blood Rose Spear."
A sharp spear made from condensed blood energy appeared in her hand.
She thrust it forward.
The spear pierced through the Wraith Knight’s chest.
The Wraith Knight’s body shook violently.
Selene pulled the spear out and kicked it away.
The Wraith Knight crashed into the ground.
At the same time, another Wraith Royal Knight attacked Rachel.
Rachel smiled.
"Finally, someone strong enough to play with."
The Wraith Knight swung its sword toward her.
Rachel raised one hand.
"Ruinous Revelation."
Dark purple energy spread from her body.
The sword suddenly slowed down.
The Wraith Knight’s spiritual energy began weakening.
Rachel stepped aside and avoided the attack.
She then placed her palm against the Wraith Knight’s armor.
"Ruin."
Crack!
A powerful wave of destructive energy entered its body.
The armor began cracking.
The Wraith Knight tried to retreat, but Rachel grabbed its arm.
"You aren’t getting away."
Purple energy exploded from her hand.
Boom!
The Wraith Knight was sent flying across the battlefield.
It crashed into the ground and immediately tried to stand.
Rachel was already above it.
She raised her hand.
"Ruinous Strike."
A huge mass of destructive energy descended.
Boom!
The ground shook.
The Wraith Knight disappeared beneath the explosion.
Meanwhile, the Corpse Lord was fighting two Wraith Royal Knights at the same time.
The two knights attacked from opposite directions.
The Corpse Lord raised both arms.
"Rise."
Several corpses suddenly emerged from the ground.
The dead Wraith Warriors and Wraith Knights that Kaiser’s army had killed earlier stood up again.
The two Royal Knights were surrounded.
They immediately began cutting through the newly raised undead.
Slash!
Slash!
Several undead were destroyed, but the Corpse Lord simply raised more corpses.
"More."
The ground shook as dozens of undead crawled out.
The two Royal Knights were gradually buried beneath the growing army.
One of them released a powerful spiritual shockwave.
Boom!
The undead were thrown backward.
The Royal Knight immediately charged toward the Corpse Lord.
The Corpse Lord raised his weapon and blocked the attack.
Clang!
The impact pushed him several meters backward.
The Royal Knight continued attacking.
Clang!
Clang!
Clang!
The Corpse Lord blocked every attack.
Then he suddenly smiled.
"You’re strong."
He raised his free hand.
"That makes your corpse even more useful."
Several dead Wraith Knights suddenly grabbed the Royal Knight from behind.
The Royal Knight struggled.
The Corpse Lord swung his weapon.
Boom!
The Royal Knight was smashed into the ground.
Before it could recover, several undead pinned its body down.
The Corpse Lord raised his hand.
"Rise."
Dark energy entered the Royal Knight’s body.
The Wraith Knight’s body stopped moving.
A few seconds later, it slowly stood up again.
The Corpse Lord had turned it into one of his undead.
On another part of the battlefield, Gravity Slime was fighting a Wraith Royal Knight.
The Wraith Knight charged at the small slime.
Gravity Slime immediately increased the gravity around itself.
Boom!
The Wraith Knight’s body suddenly became much heavier.
Its movement slowed.
Gravity Slime jumped forward and slammed its body into the Wraith Knight.
Boom!
The Wraith Knight was sent flying.
It quickly recovered and released a powerful spiritual attack.
A huge blade of spiritual energy flew toward Gravity Slime.
Gravity Slime increased the gravity in front of itself.
The attack slowed down.
The slime then moved to the side.
The spiritual blade passed by and struck the ground.
Boom!
Gravity Slime immediately attacked again.
Its body expanded.
The slime became several times larger before crashing down on the Wraith Knight.
Boom!
The Wraith Knight was buried under its massive body.
Gravity Slime then increased the gravity directly beneath it.
The ground cracked.
The Wraith Knight struggled to move.
The slime continued increasing the pressure until the armor around the Wraith Knight’s body began breaking apart.
Meanwhile, Skeleton King had already engaged another two Royal Knights.
Unlike the other undead, Skeleton King fought them directly.
His blood-related abilities spread through his skeletal body, mixing with his powerful physical strength.
One Royal Knight swung its sword.
Skeleton King blocked it with his weapon.
Clang!
The second Royal Knight attacked from behind.
Skeleton King twisted his body and avoided the attack.
He then swung his weapon toward the first Royal Knight.
Boom!
The Royal Knight was knocked backward.
Skeleton King immediately chased after it.
The Royal Knight raised its sword to block.
Clang!
Skeleton King’s attack forced it to kneel.
The second Royal Knight attacked again.
Skeleton King released a burst of blood energy.
The attack was blocked.
However, Skeleton King used the opening to grab the first Royal Knight by its armor.
He lifted it into the air.
"Blood."
Blood-red energy spread across his hand.
The Royal Knight struggled.
Skeleton King slammed it into the ground.
Boom!
A crater appeared.
The second Royal Knight charged at him.
Skeleton King turned around and punched it directly in the chest.
Boom!
The Royal Knight was sent flying.
Skeleton King followed.
The two exchanged attacks across the battlefield.
