Chapter 30 - 29 - Valar Morghulis (1)
In a mansion in King’s Landing.
Loreon looked at the information that Maekar was celebrating in a brothel. A fury bubbled in his chest. He wanted revenge, revenge for the death of his own flesh and blood. He wanted to tear Maekar apart and destroy him with his own hands.
Fortunately or unfortunately, his rationality woke him from this dangerous and tempting feeling. He knew. Jaehaerys was watching him; Maekar was watching him; everyone was watching him, just waiting for the moment he did something so they could shred his corpse and devour everything they could.
Knowing this, how could Loreon do exactly what they wanted?
However, the idea of returning to Casterly Rock alone and without his son’s body was simply something he could not accept. If he did that, he was certain that the power of House Lannister in the Westerlands would be deeply shaken.
And with the examples of House Tully and House Tyrell, Loreon did not dare let that happen. He could not allow House Lannister to suffer such a harsh blow just as he had become Lord.
Picking up a quill and a small scroll, Loreon began to write. It wasn’t just one letter, but dozens of them at once. Loreon couldn’t control how many ravens would be intercepted, so he chose to use quantity to communicate with Casterly Rock.
After writing the dozens of letters, Loreon quickly went to the rookery and placed the letters on the ravens himself.
Opening the cage, Loreon watched the dozens of ravens flying toward Casterly Rock.
"Though I cannot do it myself, I can buy someone’s life to do it," Loreon said in a cold, chilling tone.
-
Three days later.
The Free City of Braavos.
In the House of Black and White, a group of six people is gathered inside a temple. The temple itself has rows of long stone benches and a floor of rough stone, and hard stone beds are located in shuttered niches in the walls.
In the center, there is a black pool of poisoned water ten feet in diameter, lit by dim red candles. Statues of gods surround the room. There are a total of thirty statues of gods. Among them are Bakkalon, the Black Goat of Qohor, the Hooded Wayfarer, the horse god, the Lion of Night, the Merling King, the Pale Child Bakkalon, the Stranger, and the Weeping Woman.
All six members were gathered around the pool of black poisoned water. Men, women, children, and the elderly.
"Does anyone wish to accept the mission?" The speaker was an old, blind man; he had a gentle smile on his lips and a kind look on his wrinkled face.
"Valar morghulis." The one who answered was the child in the group. She was a small, delicate girl wearing a black cloak. "All men must die."
"Valar morghulis," all the other Faceless Men replied at once.
"Myria has taken the mission," the blind old man said with a smile and added, "Valar dohaeris."
"All men must serve," Myria replied in a cold, indifferent tone.
"Then go, but remember that death is for everyone, including ourselves. The gift of the Many-Faced God is impartial," the old man said, looking at Myria with his milky, clouded eyes, as if he could see right through her.
Myria disappeared into the darkness.

Maekar stepped naked from the bed and walked to the balcony of his room; he looked at the city below with a calm gaze. It had been a week since Tymond had died; Loreon had not left the mansion, but the prince knew the conspiracy had already begun.
Ravens had been seen flying from the mansion toward the Westerlands. A smile appeared on Maekar’s lips. He had to admit he enjoyed political intrigue, assassinations, and many conspiracies. It made his life feel more alive than ever.
The idea of being king and shaping the world to his will seemed too tempting for him to want to live a normal life with a wife and children.
Suddenly, a pair of pale, white arms hugged him from behind, and a soft, warm body was pressed against his back.
Looking back, he saw Gael completely naked, hugging him from behind with a comfortable and pleasant expression.
"Why aren’t you sleeping?" Maekar asked in a gentle tone.
"The sheets feel cold and lifeless; I can’t sleep without you in the bed..." Gael replied while gently rubbing her cheek against his back. She loved feeling his body, his scent, and his warmth through the contact.
"You greedy dragon," Maekar said with a laugh. "We’ve been sleeping together every day for a week, and you still want more."
Honestly, if it weren’t for his body enhanced by the Mastery of Eternal Weapons, he would have had trouble dealing with Gael’s lust. Having sex four times a day was crazy even for him. However, Gael seemed to have inherited Alysanne’s taste for sex. The princess seemed to have infinite strength.
"But it’s so good..." Showing an adorable look, Gael said in a lazy, velvety voice. "Don’t you want me?"
Maekar rolled his eyes at Gael’s acting but smiled. He pulled Gael to the front of his body and hugged her from behind, looking at the city below, both completely naked.
He leaned into her ear, firmly gripped one of her butt cheeks, and whispered, "When Jaehaerys finds out we used the Iron Throne and his seat on the Small Council, he’s certainly going to be furious."
"You forced me to do that," Gael spoke in an embarrassed tone; she still found it hard to believe they had actually done it in those places.
"I forced you?" Maekar let out a laugh and whispered again. "Who asked me to do something more exciting?"
Gael only felt her cheeks heat up with shame and felt Maekar’s hand sliding over her butt and reaching a very special place. She shuddered as those wonderfully long fingers caressed her.
Biting her lips, Gael breathed pantingly as she looked at the city below. She felt strangely excited doing this in an open place.
Looking at Maekar over her shoulder, Gael spoke with closed eyes and trembling eyelashes. "Loreon still hasn’t done anything."
Maekar didn’t stop fingering Gael and spoke with a smile. "He must have hired assassins to cut off my head."
"But wouldn’t that make him the culprit?" Frowning, Gael asked in a soft, seductive voice. Her legs weakened, and if it weren’t for Maekar wrapping his arm around her thin waist, she would have fallen to her knees on the balcony floor.
"You underestimate someone like Loreon," Maekar said, looking at the trembling Gael before him with a teasing gaze. "He can ask someone to do it in his name. Don’t underestimate the power of money and status in the eyes of the common people."
"But a commoner certainly wouldn’t have the money to hire assassins," Gael said and moaned softly as Maekar increased the rhythm of his fingers.
"That is exactly the battlefield where we have to fight," Maekar said. "He tries to hide the embezzlement of money while we try to find it. Once it’s proven that the money came from Casterly Rock or any noble house in the Westerlands, the blame would fall on House Lannister."
"That seems too easy," Gael opened her eyes and asked with a panting voice.
"It might seem easy, but it isn’t. The Great Noble Houses of Westeros have a lot of power in their own fiefs. Trying to investigate that in the Westerlands is like trying to swim in a sea of lions," Maekar replied and felt the wet walls contract around his fingers; he knew Gael was reaching a climax.
Abruptly speeding up his fingers, Maekar spoke with a smile. "And that is exactly why I sent my spy organization to Casterly Rock from the beginning."
"You are so wicked; Loreon seems to be being manipulated by you without knowing it." Gael bit her lips, suppressing her moans, and spoke with a touch of difficulty.
Suddenly, the sound of something splashing was heard, and his hand became soaked in an instant.
Withdrawing his fingers and pressing them against her mouth, Maekar asked in a teasing tone. "Do you like your husband being wicked?"
Gael, who had reached her climax, had her eyes closed and only responded with a nasal sound.
"Let’s go back to the room; we have some time before breakfast," Maekar whispered and picked Gael up in his arms.
