My Farming Domain Is Broken

Carlos read the final line twice.

His eyes moved toward the fields.

Two hundred wheat seeds had just been planted in the Common Farmland. The Tidal Silverwood was still growing, and the Mana Spring could not be moved or destroyed after placement.

He had spent the entire day creating things that could not protect themselves.

One was his only combat troop.

The Blue Water Slime was Level 2, but its core had almost shattered against the Dire Wolf.

Carlos could fight at the front, but one person could not defend every side of a territory this large.

"Eighteen hours."

He opened the Trade section again.

This time, he did not search for a cook.

He searched for combat barracks.

Most listings were Common grade.

Goblin Scavengers, Skeleton Laborers, Militia Huts and Beast Kennels appeared one after another. They could produce numbers, but Carlos had already fought enemies that cut through weak troops in one attack.

He changed the search.

Only eleven listings remained.

Every seller asked for absurd prices.

One wanted two thousand Copper Coins for an Uncommon Archer Lodge. Another wanted a Rare weapon and five hundred stone for a Wolf Den.

The stronger blueprints were not being sold at all.

Carlos messaged Cosmic.

[Carlos Goldwin]- Ugh I know that, but I didn’t need those. Can you find me something else?

[Cosmic Merchant]- You had an entire Goblin army package bro...

Carlos waited.

[Carlos Goldwin]- That was fast.

[Cosmic Merchant]- Lords with Rare combat barracks are building them, not selling them. The ones who cannot afford the requirements will still hold them for later.

[Carlos Goldwin]- Then I will make holding one feel stupid.

[Cosmic Merchant]- That does not mean you should offer half your territory.

[Carlos Goldwin]- I cannot trade anything if the raid destroys the kitchen and fields.

[Cosmic Merchant]- Remove the Silverwood.

[Carlos Goldwin]- No.

[Cosmic Merchant]- Remove the recovery potions.

[Carlos Goldwin]- No.

[Cosmic Merchant]- At least let me negotiate before you throw everything at strangers!

Three private messages appeared before Carlos could answer.

The first Lord offered an Uncommon Orc Camp and tried to hide its grade.

Carlos blocked him.

The second offered a damaged Rare blueprint that could no longer summon troops.

Carlos rejected it.

The third sent a complete description.

Then again.

The food consumption was enormous. Ten Bearkin would require fifty meals every day.

But food was the one resource Carlos intended to produce in large quantities.

The reason was real.

Carlos added a three-day meal contract to the trade. If he failed to deliver thirty meals, the system would take the equivalent value from his Copper Coins and basic resources.

His Copper Coins, Silverwood, potions and wood disappeared.

Carlos looked at the blueprint.

He had paid too much but still, he did not regret it.

"Now I have to build it."

The sale of the Goblin package and equipment had left him with many resources, but the hall and planned upgrades together required more than he currently possessed.

Carlos used another three hundred Copper Coins to purchase two hundred wood and two hundred stone through existing Trade requests. The exchange rates were bad because every Lord was preparing for the raid, but he did not have time to wait for prices to fall.

Before doing that, Carlos opened the Farmer’s Lodge.

"The tools are better," he said.

That was the only part he cared about.

Carlos opened the Basic Tool Workshop next.

He used it to produce two Stone Axes, one Stone Pickaxe and another Wooden Hoe. The work took several hours without a worker, but it fulfilled the production condition.

The Basic Kitchen still could not be upgraded without a cooking worker. The Blue Water Slime Barrack needed more Slime Cores than he possessed.

Those two would have to wait.
