Lycan King's Regret: Punished The Wrong Daughter

Chapter 135- She needed to suffer

Arabella Toussaint:

I woke sometime in the middle of the night, though I wasn’t sure what had disturbed me. The room was dark, and for a few seconds, I forgot where I was. Then I felt fingers moving gently through my hair, brushing the strands away from my face.

I forced my heavy eyelids open and found Lucien lying beside me. His head was resting against the pillow as he watched me. There was something in his eyes that made me stay awake for another few seconds. He was looking at me while his fingers slowly tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Lucien..." My voice must be thick with sleep. "Aren’t you sleeping?"

"I will. Soon..." He leaned closer and kissed my lips softly. When his lips left mine, he didn’t move away. His face remained close, and I could feel his warm breath against my face.

I lifted my hand and tried to touch his cheek. Even that felt like too much effort. Raising my head slightly from the pillow, I gave him a quick kiss before sinking back down.

"You should sleep too." I let my hand fall to his chest. "Aren’t you tired? You must have spent the whole day dealing with kingdom stuff..." I yawned loudly, my eyes already shutting, "... and now you’re still awake because of me." My words were beginning to blur together by the end.

I was already slipping away again, but something made me open them. Lucien was still watching me.

His fingertip moved slowly over my cheek, tracing the side of my face as though he had no intention of sleeping anytime soon. No. I must be imagining it. Or maybe it was a dream.

This time, I didn’t ask him anything. I just smiled, closing my eyes again and letting myself drift back to sleep beneath his touch. Sometime after falling asleep again, I dreamed about Lucien.

At least, I was pretty sure it was a dream. I remembered kissing him, but apparently that wasn’t enough for me in that dream.

I climbed over him and straddled his waist, my knees sinking into the mattress on either side of him. My hands moved over his bare chest, tracing the hard lines of his body and the tattoos beneath my fingertips. When his hands settled on my hips, I leaned down and kissed him again, slower this time, enjoying the warmth of his mouth and the feel of his body beneath mine.

Goddess, I had been shameless. Because I wasn’t wearing panties and the way my pussy touched his flat and taut belly... Oh!

I remembered pressing closer, burying my face against his neck and kissing the warm skin there. Every touch seemed to make me want another one. I had never known I possessed that kind of boldness—or that I could enjoy having a man beneath me quite that much.

But it was a dream, right?

That was probably why I had allowed myself to do everything I would have been too embarrassed to do while awake. No one could catch me red-handed inside my own head.

After that, everything became blurry. I vaguely remembered clinging to him, whispering things that would probably make me want to bury myself alive if I could remember them properly.

Thankfully, I couldn’t.

By the time I opened my eyes again, sunlight was streaming through the windows. I smiled into the pillow as pieces of that ridiculous dream came back to me.

Goddess. What had I been thinking? Still half asleep, I shifted and ran my hand over the bed beneath me.

Except that wasn’t a bedsheet. My fingers were resting on warm skin. I frowned and slowly raised my head only to find a tattooed chest filling my vision. My eyes widened in shock. I looked up and found Lucien already awake, watching me.

"Good morning, princess." For a second, I simply stared at him. Then the last traces of sleep disappeared. I was lying on top of him.

"Holy cow!" I immediately tried to push myself away, but his arm came around me in time.

"Where are you going?" The amusement in his eyes made my stomach drop. "You didn’t let me sleep half the night, and now you’re running away?"

"What are you talking about?" I tried to bring some sternness into my voice, but it didn’t affect him. His eyebrow lifted. "You really don’t remember?"

Remember what? Then that stupid dream flashed through my head again.

Lucien looked too amused as he continued, "You spent half the night kissing me and begging me to make love to you. And now you’re acting innocent?"

I stopped breathing. Goddess. I was horrified. For several seconds, I couldn’t even find words. That was supposed to be a dream. I stared at him in horror as another possibility entered my head.

His mother could enter people’s dreams. My eyes narrowed as I watched him. No freaking way. Lucien could not do that too, could he?

Shit, I needed to get away from him. Before I could scramble away, Lucien rolled us over and pinned me beneath him.

"After begging me to enter you last night," he murmured, amusement dancing in his eyes, "should I give you what you were asking for?" My eyes went wide.

No. Please Goddess. Tell me he’s lying.

I was painfully aware of how there was no space between us. His bare chest against mine, his body warm and solid above me, one of his legs trapped between mine, doing some delicious things.

And then his hard cock poked against my thigh. I went completely still and swallowed hard.

"G... get off me," I managed, my face burning, but his grin only widened.

"You don’t remember?" His voice was far too amused. "Your hands were all over me, and you couldn’t stop kissing me everywhere. My chest. My neck..." He tilted his head to expose more of his neck. "Do you know what these are, princess?"

I wished I could be swallowed by the floor. There were several dark marks scattered along his neck, toward his shoulder.

Hickeys. Goddess. I gave him damn hickeys. I squeezed my eyes shut.

Please, Goddess. Let this be a nightmare. I promise I won’t hurt Jasmine if you answer my prayer.

Alas! I was wrong. The Moon Goddess didn’t answer. So...

So, of course, Jasmine needed to suffer.
