Global Pioener: Earth Second Chance

74. The Most Valuable Pioneer

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, a very different atmosphere could be found at the Presidential Office of the Bald Eagle State.

The vast Situation Room was filled with large screens displaying data on Pioneers from around the world. One of the screens showed a list of Level 3 Pioneers, complete with their countries of origin, exploration records, and livestream footage.

At the very top, one name was highlighted.

Rangga — Garuda Pioneer.

The President of the Bald Eagle State stood in front of the screen with both hands behind his back.

“The naturalization feature changes everything.”

All the advisors in the room listened attentively.

“Starting today, Pioneers are no longer merely citizens.”

“They are strategic assets.”

One of the analysts opened the latest data.

“Based on our observations, the Garuda Pioneer named Rangga remains the most outstanding.”

“He was the first to reach Ship Level Three.”

“The first to discover various new materials.”

“The first to develop combat equipment.”

“And most importantly…”

The analyst changed the display.

“He has managed to improve the abilities of other Pioneers.”

Footage of Mayor Deri, Fajar, and Andre appeared on the screen, showing them using equipment made by Rangga.

The President of the Bald Eagle State slowly nodded.

“That is what makes him far more dangerous than the other Pioneers.”

“Not merely because of his own abilities.”

“But because he is capable of strengthening the abilities of others.”

One of the advisors then asked,

“Is Rangga still our primary target, Mr. President?”

“Still.”

The answer came without hesitation.

“If we manage to recruit him… then we won't just gain one Pioneer.”

“We'll gain someone capable of building up other Pioneers.”

The room immediately filled with nods, and a diplomatic staff member opened a new document.

“Then we need to prepare an offer… What benefits should we provide?”

The President of the Bald Eagle State stared at the screen for a moment before answering.

“Use the full power of the nation.”

“Guaranteed security and a comfortable life for his family.”

“Unlimited financial support.”

“The best educational facilities.”

“Lifetime healthcare.”

“And special status as a Strategic Pioneer of the Bald Eagle State.”

Another advisor added,

“We can also offer him full access to all of our national research.”

“If he needs anything, the government will prioritize him.”

The President nodded.

“That as well… Show him that no other country can provide better benefits than we can.”

He then looked at everyone in the meeting.

“The Bald Eagle State remains the world's leading nation.”

“We maintain that position not only through technology.”

“But also by recruiting the best people.”

Several staff members immediately began drafting the message that would be sent if the opportunity for naturalization arose.

They did not know that Rangga had already stated his intention to remain with the Garuda State.

To them, every Pioneer still had a price that could be negotiated.

And as a superpower, they believed almost anyone could be persuaded with a sufficiently generous offer.

The decision was finally made in that meeting room.

Because they had never sent messages to their own Pioneers during the first seven days, fearing that the system would censor the entire contents of those messages, they decided to take advantage of this opportunity.

The President of the Bald Eagle State looked at his staff.

“If we can't convey all the information to them…”

“At the very least, they need to know the nation's priorities.”

A communications officer nodded.

“The message will be prepared immediately.”

The President then spoke his final words before the message was sent.

“The top priority is the Garuda Pioneer.”

“Rangga.”

“Whatever it takes.”

“Whatever his demands.”

“Do everything possible to get him to join the Bald Eagle State.”

“If necessary, negotiate everything.”

A few seconds later, the message was sent to all eligible Pioneers of the Bald Eagle State.

In the world of the Pioneers, four Bald Eagle Pioneers who had reached Ship Level Three almost simultaneously received the message.

They were sailing toward their respective resource islands when blue screens appeared before them.

One of them was David.

He read the message with a blank expression.

The orders were crystal clear.

Diplomatic Priority of the Bald Eagle State: Locate the Garuda Pioneer named Rangga.

Make contact. Negotiate his naturalization to the Bald Eagle State. Fulfill any demands that fall within your authority.

If necessary, report all requests to the government for further processing.

David slowly closed the screen, his gaze returning to the sea ahead.

“Understood.”

His answer was brief.

As a former Delta Force member, orders from his country were his highest priority.

Elsewhere, another Bald Eagle Pioneer read the same message.

He merely clicked his tongue.

“More orders.”

Without giving it much thought, he closed the screen and returned his attention to the direction of his ship.

The third Pioneer only glanced at the message before letting out a small laugh.

“Recruit someone? Even if I find him, there's no guarantee he'll agree.”

He shrugged and ignored the message.

Meanwhile, the fourth Pioneer let out a long sigh.

“I'm just trying to stay alive first… I'll worry about other people later.”

He closed the message panel as well without giving it any further attention.

It did not take long before Rangga's ship entered the waters surrounding the three-star Swamp Island.

From a distance, he could already see two other ships that had arrived at the beach ahead of him.

“They got here first.”

As soon as his ship reached the shore, Rangga stepped off carrying all his equipment.

Mayor Deri and Andre, who had already been waiting for him, immediately approached.

“Bang Rangga.”

“Mas Rangga.”

Rangga nodded with a smile.

“You guys ready?”

“Ready, Bang,” Andre replied firmly.

Mayor Deri looked toward the dark swamp forest stretching out before them.

“Before we enter, we should divide our roles first.”

Rangga nodded in agreement.

“Yeah… The three of us should have a much easier time than we did before.”

They formed a small circle and began discussing their respective positions.

Mayor Deri spoke first.

“I'll stay in front since I have a sword and shield. If there's a sudden attack, I'll be the one to block it.”

Rangga immediately nodded.

“Sounds good. I'll stay beside you, Mayor. I'll keep my bow and throwing spears ready, and whenever there's an opening, I'll provide ranged support.”

Andre then raised the crossbow in his hands.

“Then I'll stay in the back. The crossbow takes longer to reload, so I'll focus on providing covering fire.”

Mayor Deri nodded in satisfaction.

“Then the formation is clear. Keep your distance, and most importantly, don't get separated.”

Rangga smiled.

“If anything happens, speak up immediately. Don't try to be a hero.”

Andre chuckled.

“Got it, Bang.”

Once they had agreed on everything, they checked their equipment one more time.

Mayor Deri gripped his sword tightly and raised his shield.

Rangga fitted an arrow onto his bow, while five throwing spears hung neatly across his back.

Andre made sure the string of his crossbow was locked before loading a bolt onto the rail.

Mayor Deri took a deep breath.

“Let's go.”

Without waiting any longer, the three of them began walking away from the beach.

Slowly, they entered the humid swamp forest filled with enormous trees, ready to face whatever awaited them deeper inside the island.
