64. The Supply Line
Upon arriving at his personal island, Rangga’s ship docked as usual at his simple pier. He immediately unloaded everything he had gathered that day.
Hardwood. Natural rubber. Tree resin. Along with the loot from the Herrerasaurus. Everything was quickly transferred into storage.
Rangga stepped off the ship, stretching his shoulders.
“Haaah…”
He was fairly tired, but the satisfied look on his face remained. Today’s exploration had clearly been far more efficient than going alone.
He walked toward the center of his island and, as usual, opened all the building menus.
One by one, he checked them—hoping there was something he could immediately make use of from the new materials.
But there was nothing.
No upgrades available. No new recipes using natural rubber or tree resin.
Rangga scratched his head.
“Damn… guess I’ve gotta craft something first…”
He reopened the island menu, and his eyes stopped on a new structure.
Apothecary
He narrowed his eyes.
“Maybe this is it… for using the resin and rubber?”
He checked the recipe—and the moment he read it, his expression went flat.
“80 wood… 60 hardwood… 100 stone… 40 glass… 10 brass ingots… 20 bio filtration membrane…”
He let out a long sigh.
“Ugh… needs glass… so that means the kiln…”
His mind started working quickly.
“So I gotta upgrade the kiln first?”
He opened the next menu.
Upgrade Kiln → Furnace
He hadn’t even finished reading before sighing again.
“150 stone… 50 iron ingots… 20 copper ingots… 10 heat regulators…”
He stared blankly at the screen.
“Seriously… I need heat regulators? Where am I supposed to find those…”
After a few seconds of silence, he closed all the menus at once.
“Whatever… still a lot to gather anyway.”
With a relaxed step, he walked over to his campfire, took some rice, prepared water, and started cooking as usual.
While waiting for the rice to finish, he sat down casually near the fire and opened the regional chat.
Rangga: Oi.
Rangga: Anyone found any weird materials yet?
The chat immediately became active again, and casual conversation resumed.
The campfire crackled softly, and the aroma of hot rice and grilled meat filled the night air.
Rangga sat comfortably while eating—one hand holding a bowl, the other scrolling through chat.
Not long after his question, the chat lit up again.
Fajar: Bro!
Fajar: Me and Andre just reached Level 3 ships!
Rangga paused mid-bite.
“Damn, that was fast…”
He quickly typed.
Rangga: Nice.
Rangga: Congrats, bro.
Andre: No island yet though…
Andre: But got the ship first.
Andre: So we can catch up to you faster.
Rangga chuckled.
Rangga: Damn, that’s dedication.
Fajar: I’ve got the stuff ready for trading.
Fajar: That armor and weapon.
Fajar: When are we meeting?
Rangga grinned.
Rangga: Relax.
Rangga: Tomorrow—if we end up on the same island.
Rangga: No need to complicate things now.
Fajar: Got it.
Andre followed up.
Andre: Same here.
Andre: If we’re together tomorrow, I’ll bring the materials.
Rangga nodded while eating.
Rangga: Don’t worry.
Rangga: I’ve got everything ready.
Rangga: Just need to meet up.
The chat grew more relaxed—until suddenly, Major Deri joined in again.
Deri: For those who have reached Level 3 ships…
The chat slowed slightly.
Deri: If possible…
Deri: Don’t go to Level 3 islands alone.
Rangga paused eating, recalling earlier events—the Herrerasaurus, sudden ambushes, dense jungle.
Deri: I’ve tried it.
Deri: And it’s very dangerous alone.
Several Pioneers responded immediately.
Fajar: Got it, Major.
Andre: Yeah… hearing Rangga’s story earlier was already scary enough.
Deri continued.
Deri: If tomorrow no one ends up on the same island as Mas Rangga…
Deri: You can join me.
Deri: Just don’t go alone.
The chat filled with agreement.
Rio: Got it.
Bima: Noted.
Yusuf: Let’s stick together.
Rangga smiled slightly.
Rangga: That’s better.
Rangga: More fun that way too.
The conversation returned to a light tone, with jokes and laughter filling the chat.
The next morning, Rangga stood on the deck of his ship. The sea breeze was calm, and the blue screen in front of him displayed island options once more.
Without wasting time, he opened the regional chat.
Rangga:
⭐: A-621834 (Tropical)
⭐⭐: B-627291 (Rocky)
⭐⭐⭐: D-458392 (Desert)
⭐⭐⭐: C-773105 (Swamp)
Soon after, Major Deri posted his.
Deri:

⭐⭐: C-622764 (Swamp)
⭐⭐⭐: E-991204 (Savanna)
⭐⭐⭐: D-556781 (Desert)
A few seconds later, Fajar added his.
Fajar:
⭐: C-629472 (Swamp)
⭐⭐: A-623650 (Tropical)
⭐⭐⭐: D-458392 (Desert)
⭐⭐⭐: B-882146 (Rocky)
And finally, Andre shared his.
Andre:
⭐: B-621905 (Rocky)
⭐⭐: D-624781 (Desert)
⭐⭐⭐: E-991204 (Savanna)
⭐⭐⭐: A-347890 (Tropical)
The chat went silent for a few seconds as everyone matched coordinates.
Then—
Fajar: YES!
Andre: Ahh…
Andre: Didn’t get Rangga again…
Deri responded calmly.
Deri: You’ve got me.
But Andre quickly replied.
Andre: I don’t have weapons yet, Major…
Andre: How am I supposed to go…
Rangga grinned.
Rangga: Alright, here’s the plan.
Rangga: I’ll go to Major Deri first.
Rangga: Then I’ll head to Fajar later.
Rangga: I’ll leave your armor and weapons with the Major.
Rangga: You come over tonight.
Rangga: Bring the materials as payment.
A few seconds of silence—
Andre: Huh…
Andre: That actually works.
Andre: Major, you’ll bring it, right?
Rangga laughed.
Rangga: LOL.
Deri answered calmly.
Deri: Yes.
Deri: I’ll deliver them.
Then he asked—
Deri: Mas Rangga, heading to my island now?
Rangga replied immediately.
Rangga: Yeah.
Rangga: Leaving now.
Rangga: Fajar, don’t depart yet.
Fajar: Got it.
Without delay, Rangga raised his hand. His Nautical Scanner lit up as he selected the coordinates: X-620873.
Major Deri’s island.
The Nautical Radar rotated slowly to determine direction. The ship’s engine hummed as it turned, leaving his personal island behind.
The journey didn’t take long.
Midway, Rangga frowned slightly.
“That was fast…” he muttered. “Maybe Pioneer islands are closer to each other?”
He didn’t dwell on it.
Soon, Deri’s island appeared ahead. His ship approached and docked at a simple pier.
As soon as he stepped off, he saw Deri already waiting.
“No trouble getting here, Mas?” Deri asked.
Rangga shook his head casually.
“Nope. Just faster than going to resource islands.”
Deri nodded.
Without wasting time, Rangga pulled out the items he had prepared—a full set of armor, a crossbow, and a long spear—and handed them over.
“These are for Andre later, Major,” Rangga said.
“Don’t forget to get his coordinates before you head back, so I can come here again.”
Deri accepted them calmly.
“Don’t worry.”
Rangga nodded.
“Alright then, I’ll get going.”
“I’ll be departing as well,” Deri replied.
Without any further words, they both turned toward their respective ships.
No long farewells—everything felt efficient, like they were already used to it.
Moments later, the two ships left the same dock once more.
But this time, they sailed in different directions.
