Max Level Reincarnation: Retrieve My Primordials

Chapter 38 Two Child

Chapter 38 Two Child

With a sharp exhale, Rael forcefully pushed Vels’ slender arms away from his neck, breaking her suffocating hug.

"Fuah!" Rael gasped, drawing in a long breath as he adjusted his collar. "Give me some room to breathe, Vels!"

He sat up on the edge of the bed, rubbing his temples as he looked back at the possessed Saint with a mixture of exasperation and genuine curiosity.

"Alright, setting aside the sudden reunion... why didn't you try to contact me the moment I arrived in this world?" Rael asked, his eyes narrowing slightly. "With your status as the supreme deity of this empire, shouldn't you have known the second my soul crossed over?"

Vels animating Saint Solenne's physical vessel softened her expression, sitting gracefully on the velvet sheets with her hands resting in her lap.

"The truth is, Master... even Godhood has its inherent limitations," Vels explained, her voice carrying a calm, informative resonance. "As a deity, my true absolute authority is strictly bound to my central domain. My core sanctuary resides in the holy city of Valethia. The farther I manifest away from my central altar, the more my divine perception and power diminish."

She tilted her head, her sapphire eyes growing serious. "Furthermore, there are fundamental cosmic laws governing this realm. If a deity intervenes directly in mortal territories without a proper conduit or balanced cause, the surrounding spatial fabric destabilizes. High-level planar corruption would leak through, spawning catastrophic, apocalyptic monsters in ordinary civilian towns. The empire would collapse under a second age of darkness."

Rael nodded slowly, his gamer logic instantly digesting the lore. "Ah... I see. So you have a spatial domain radius and a planar equilibrium restriction. That makes sense."

"Indeed," Vels continued, offering a soft smile. "That is why I dispatched Saint Solenne as my holy representative to investigate. A short while ago, I sensed a violent, disturbing surge of mana a localized walking disaster of pure chaos. At first, I couldn't believe it was you, Master. I thought a primordial calamity had unsealed itself..."

Vels turned her gaze toward Vhal’zhar, who stood tall beside the bed. She eyed him with a subtle, mischievous smirk. "...Though now that I think about it, that cataclysmic aura was probably caused by you, Vhal'zhar."

Vhal’zhar crossed his arms over his chest, letting out a heavy, defeated sigh. "Well... our elemental affinities are diametrically opposed, feather-brain. My abyssal emergence would naturally feel like a disaster to a entity of pure light."

Rael touched his chin, piecing the timeline together. "Hmm... when I summoned Vhal’zhar into this world, it must have triggered your mana sensors, Vels. But why didn't you recognize my personal aura right away when I transmigrated? Even if you're a deity, shouldn't my soul signature be unmistakable to you?"

Vels nodded regretfully, her shoulders slumping slightly. "It was quite strange, Master. Your soul signature was exceptionally blurred and masked when you arrived almost as if a higher cosmic veil was obscuring your presence. It was nearly impossible for me to confirm it was truly you until Saint Solenne reached this exact city, right at the location where your power fully awakened."

Rael then confuse “then why you possessed saint solenne to meet me instead saint solenne?” vels cover his face and her face turning red “umm master because its been a while we met I was shy back there since the happy I was seeing you master” rael looked at her awkwardly and clear his throat “owh is that so then” he try not to meet her gaze and then but still worry about the blury thing.

Rael took a deep, lingering breath, letting the complex cosmic mysteries settle into the back of his mind. A warm, genuine smile spread across his face as he looked at her.

"Well... let bygones be bygones," Rael said softly, scratching the back of his neck with a slight chuckle. "It really is great to see you again, Vels. I mean... it's extremely awkward saying all this while you're borrowing Saint Solenne's body, but... I'm truly glad you're safe."

Rael reached out his right hand and gently patted the top of her hair.

The moment his palm touched her head, Vels’ divine demeanor completely dissolved. Her eyes closed in absolute bliss, and she leaned into his touch like an overly affectionate puppy receiving praise from its owner. A soft, contented hum escaped her lips as her soul melted under his hand.

"Yes... Master~" Vels purred softly, basking in the warmth of his touch.

Standing right beside them, Vhal’zhar watched the interaction with widening eyes. A sudden, burning spike of jealousy pierced the Vhal’zhar chest. His broad shoulders twitched, and his jaw clenched as he stared at his Master’s hand resting on Vels' head.

Without a word, Vhal’zhar dropped heavily onto one knee beside the bed.

Despite his terrifying status as an undead king and despite currently wearing a stunningly handsome human facade thanks to his [Ring of Mortal Mirage] Vhal’zhar tilted his head upward, looking up at Rael with wide, pleading, puppy-dog eyes.

"M-Master..." Vhal’zhar stammered, his deep voice dropping into a desperate, needy murmur. "Could you... perhaps... stroke my head as well?"

Rael’s hand froze mid-pat on Vels' hair.

He slowly turned his head to look at Vhal’zhar, his face twitching in absolute, unadulterated awkwardness.

(Wait, hold on a second!) Rael screamed internally, his mind spiraling into chaos. (You are an ancient, terrifying undead warlord! Right now, thanks to the illusion ring, you look like a top-tier male supermodel! Having an extraordinarily handsome guy kneel down and beg for headpats with a puppy face is insanely uncomfortable!)

Rael cleared his throat nervously, pulling his hand back from Vels. "Ehem... Vhal. You're a full-grown man. Asking for headpats to another man like that is... a bit much, don't you think?"

Vhal’zhar’s lower lip twitched slightly, his eyes growing even wider, practically glowing with pitiful desperation. He didn't move an inch, silently begging for his Master's favor.

Rael felt an immense, suffocating pressure crushing his soul. He looked frantically to the left, then to the right, finding no escape from the sheer emotional trap.

"Ugh... fine! Come here," Rael groaned, surrender written all over his face.

Rael extended his hand, reaching over to give Vhal’zhar’s styled hair a few quick, reluctant pats.

Instantly, Vhal’zhar’s gloomy expression vanished! A massive, radiant smile broke across his handsome face, his broad chest swelling with overwhelming pride and joy.

"Thank you, Master!" Vhal’zhar declared loudly, looking as if he had just been crowned the ruler of the universe. "This is truly the greatest day of my existence!"

Vels’ eyes snapped open. The moment she saw Vhal’zhar soaking in Rael’s affection, her cheeks puffed out in a furious, jealous pout. She glared at the demon commander with venom in her eyes.

"Master! You shouldn't force yourself to pat a man's head!" Vels huffed, pointing an accusing finger at Vhal’zhar. "You should only pat mine! Why in the world would a grown adult male stroke another grown adult male's hair?!"

Vhal’zhar’s smile instantly turned into a sharp, vicious scowl as he glared right back at her. "What did you say, you feather-brained fake deity?!” vels barking to vhal’zhar to “well it was common a man stroke a innocent girl don’t you think not some kind a tall man like you hmph!!” vhal’zhar anger hearing that and somewhat deep down regret about something.

Rael felt an immense, throbbing headache building behind his eyes. It felt as if he were a stressed, single father trying to manage two overly energetic, jealous toddlers who were constantly fighting for attention.

"Okay! Both of you, stop it right now!" Rael commanded, pulling his hands back entirely and folding his arms over his chest.

He cut off the headpats for both of them simultaneously.

Both ancient entities froze, expressions of sheer sad washing over their faces.

"Awww... Master! Just a little bit more!" Vels pleaded, reaching her hands out longing.

Vhal’zhar remained silent out of respect, but his slumped shoulders and drooping eyes made his sad face brutally obvious.

"No. That's more than enough," Rael said firmly, a bright blush of embarrassment creeping up his neck. "Besides... Saint Solenne is probably fully conscious inside her own body while you're possessing her! I'm not letting my remaining dignity disintegrate any further than this!"

Vels blinked, then clapped her slender hands together with a bright, cheerful snap.

"Ah! In that case, you must come visit my central domain directly, Master!" Vels urged, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Since Saint Solenne has already invited you to journey to Valethia, come to my main sanctuary! There, within my central altar, you can see my true, original divine body!"

Suddenly, Saint Solenne’s physical vessel began to shudder violently!

Her fingers twitched erratically, her chest heaving as the soft golden aura enveloping her skin began to flicker and spark like a dying candle.

Vels winced, clutching her forehead as her multi-layered voice began to crack. "Ah... it seems maintaining this divine manifestation inside a mortal vessel for so long... is heavily draining my power its like compacting my power to the size of an ant... Ugh...!"

The twitching grew far more aggressive, her physical body struggling against the massive divine strain.

"I can't... hold this form... any longer... UGH!!"

FLASH!

The golden light surrounding her snapped like an overstretched rubber band, shattering into hundreds of tiny, glowing mana specks that dissolved into the air. The divine presence completely evaporated from the room.

In an instant, Saint Solenne’s body lurched forward, her native soul violently snapping back into full control of her physical senses.

"Hah... hah...!"

Saint Solenne gasped, clutching her chest as her vision stabilized. She looked up, her wide, trembling eyes locking directly onto Rael and Vhal’zhar, who were sitting mere feet away on the bed.

An excruciating, suffocating silence descended upon the room.

Saint Solenne’s entire face turned a violent, burning shade of crimson. Her ears felt like they were literally on fire. As a passive observer trapped inside her own mind during the possession, she had been forced to witness everything.

She remembered her body purring under Rael’s touch. She remembered her head resting on his chest, letting out embarrassing gasps, and watching two primordial cosmic beings squabble like children over who got more headpats from a mortal bodyguard!

Saint Solenne offered a strained, trembling, utterly awkward smile, her voice squeaking horribly.

"Umm... I-I think... I better go now... and... and never speak of any of this ever again!"

Without waiting for a response, Saint Solenne scrambled off the bed, her long robes catching slightly on her boots. She practically sprinted across the carpet, grabbed the brass door handle with trembling hands, yanked the door open, and slammed it shut behind her with a loud BANG!

Inside the bedroom, Rael slowly raised both hands, covering his bright red face as he slumped backward onto the mattress.

"Ugh... man... that was so incredibly embarrassing..." Rael groaned into his palms, wanting nothing more than to melt into the floorboards.

Meanwhile, out in the carpeted hallway of the Smaragdus estate, Saint Solenne leaned her back against the heavy wooden door. Her knees trembled so violently that she slowly slid down the wall, collapsing into a small, shivering heap on the floor.

Her mind was in absolute, chaotic ruin. Her entire worldview had been shattered into a million pieces.

Oh Lord... all of that... it wasn't a dream... Solenne thought, clutching her trembling hands against her chest. My Goddess... the supreme, radiant Goddess Vale... is literally the loyal servant of Mister Rael?! This is... this is completely unbelievable...!

As doubt and overwhelming shock threatened to consume her mind, a soft, soothing, and familiar voice whispered gently directly inside Solenne's consciousness.

Child... are you disappointed in me?

Solenne flinched softly, her breath catching in her throat.

It is the absolute truth that I am his loyal servant, Vels’ voice echoed in her mind, warm, maternal, and completely devoid of deceit. If this revelation makes you feel betrayed... if it makes you wish to abandon your faith and devotion to my name... I shall not punish you, my child. Your life and your devotion belong to you alone not to me.

Solenne froze. Tears welled up in her pale eyes, but they were no longer tears of fear or confusion.

Instead, a profound sense of awe and warmth flooded her soul. Her Goddess had not scolded her for witnessing her embarrassing behavior, nor had she threatened her into blind submission. Instead, her deity had granted her absolute freedom of choice a gentle, divine mercy that proved how deeply Goddess Vale truly cared for her followers.

Solenne clutched her silver holy symbol tightly against her chest, answering softly in her heart with a tearful, radiant smile.

No, my Goddess... I could never abandon you! After everything you have given to me, my church, and my people... my faith will never waver. Please... just promise that you will never abandon me either, my Goddess!

A soft, affectionate giggle resonated inside Solenne’s mind.

Fufu... do not worry, my sweet child. I have never abandoned your lineage, even when others turned their backs on the light, Vels reassured her gently. But this time... things are different. From this day forth, I want you to treat the man behind that door with the exact same reverence you show to me or perhaps, just a little below me, so as not to overwhelm his modest nature.

Vels’ voice softened into a gentle, protective murmur. Master will undoubtedly view you as one of his own family now, child. You no longer need to walk in fear of the shadows or the royal court. I am always with you. And he also will with you child

Saint Solenne looked back at the heavy oak door of Rael’s suite, taking a deep breath as she nodded resolvedly. Yes, my Goddess. I understand.

However, as the holy reverence settled, a sudden, burning memory of what had just transpired inside that room flashed back into Solenne's mind. Her cheeks exploded into a deep, furious blush once more.

She bit her lower lip, her voice hesitating as she whispered nervously back to her deity.

Umm... my Goddess? May I... may I ask one small, very personal favor?

What is it, child? Vels asked, sounding genuinely curious.

Solenne’s ears burned red hot as she squeezed her eyes shut in sheer embarrassment.

C-Can you please... try not to act so... so excessively... h-horny... toward Mister Rael while you are possessing my physical body?!

Silence.

An agonizing, ten-second silence descended upon Solenne’s mind.

Then, Vels let out a light, mischievous, and thoroughly unabashed laugh.

Fufu... my sincere apologies, dear child. That was rather improper of me, wasn't it? I shall make sure to exercise a little more restraint next time~

Solenne let out a long, exhausted sigh of relief, leaning her head back against the wall. "Haah... thank you, my Goddess..."

However, as she pushed herself up from the carpet to straighten her silver robes, a sudden, warm, and lingering sensation beneath her skirts made her freeze in place.

Solenne’s eyes widened in absolute, sheer horror.

Because of Vels’ intense, overwhelming emotional arousal while taking full control of her physical vessel moments ago... Solenne could distinctly feel that her undergarments were noticeably, embarrassingly damp.

A squeak of pure panic escaped Solenne’s lips. Her face flushed a shade of red deeper than a ripe tomato. Clutching her skirts tightly around her legs, the holy Saint of the Empire sprinted down the hallway toward her private bath, praying to every power in existence that no guard had noticed her fleeing.
