Chapter 155: Del Rosarios
"Angel Christiana Del Rosario... how could you possibly abandon your girlfriend all alone out there? You know very well she is an Omega, you don’t leave your Omega alone..." Grandma Lucinda scolded Angel severely, who was currently busy kneeling down on the floor alongside Priesto.
Lucinda was sitting comfortably on a chair right in front of the two kneeling figures, while her Alpha wife, Paula, stood quietly by her side.
April was seated across from them, her face flushed as she was still crying, while Benny remained entirely focused on shoveling the remaining food into her mouth at the table.
The restaurant had gone strangely quiet around them.
A few of the workers were watching the entire family drama unfold from a safe distance, clearly having no intention of getting involved. After all, this was the Del Rosario family, and nobody in their right mind wanted to become the next victim of Lucinda’s anger.
Angel, meanwhile, looked absolutely miserable.
She had already gone from having what she thought would be a romantic anniversary night to arguing with April, leaving the campsite alone, crying inside her grandmother’s boat cabin, drinking rum, and somehow ending up kneeling on a restaurant floor in front of her entire family.
It had been a terrible night.
"I did not just leave her alone for no reason. I simply wanted a little bit of time to think and..." Angel tried her absolute best to explain the situation.
"You both left the your party together and took her to a completely deserted place in the middle of nowhere. What if she got lost out in the dark?" Paula asked, pointing at the poor April.
"I really did not think about that possibility at all. My mind was just not in the right place tonight..." Angel admitted, hanging her head low.
Angel couldn’t even argue with that.
Her emotions had completely taken control of her earlier. She had been hurt, angry, confused, and embarrassed all at the same time, and instead of properly dealing with everything, she had simply walked away.
She knew leaving April alone hadn’t been right.
She also knew she had made everything much worse by running away instead of talking things through.
But the Omega was making the Alpha sad and that Alpha wanted to cry alone..
"I honestly can’t believe you left me all alone at that place just to come to this exact place..." April cried out, wiping her wet cheeks while looking around the restaurant filled with scantily clad nuns.
When they had first arrived in Playa Linda months ago, Angel had brought April to this very restaurant, and the very first strict rule April gave to her Alpha girlfriend was that she should never set foot inside this place ever again.
They were too sexy...
Angel’s mind really wasn’t right when she had agreed to come to the restaurant with Benny and her uncle.
It was supposed to be a quick stop.
Somehow, it had become another piece of evidence being thrown against her.
"I swear I did not come here because of any of these nuns..." Angel tried to defend herself in a rush. Then she pointed her hand straight at Benny, giving that poor girl a massive stray bullet in front of everyone. "Benny right here said she misses her wife back when she was still a nun, and she was the one who brought me here..."
Benny, who had been actively pretending not to exist inside the restaurant, was suddenly forced to become part of the nonsense commotion.
"Hey, don’t you dare try to use me as your cheap escape route... Your uncle brought us here..." Benny argued back, nearly choking on her rice. "...It is completely wrong that I heard you crying like a baby inside your grandmother’s boat cabin, and I simply offered you some rum and cigar to help..."
"You were actually smoking and drinking out there...? Papi, how could you do that to me...?" April cried out even louder, acting just like some dramatic soap opera actress while completely ignoring the part about Angel crying in the cabin.
Angel immediately lowered her head again.
She had no idea how the conversation had somehow gone from abandoning April at the campsite to her drinking rum and then to the restaurant.
Every time she thought things couldn’t get any worse, somebody managed to uncover another embarrassing detail.
"Angel, you need to apologize to your girlfriend right now and promise her never to leave her alone like that again..." Lucinda demanded, her tone stern and leaving absolutely no room for any further explanation.
Angel slowly turned her body toward her girlfriend while still remaining on her knees, giving her a quiet, reluctant apology.
The apology did little to erase the uncomfortable silence that had settled over the group.
Angel’s eyes remained lowered for a moment before she finally looked toward April again.
There was still plenty of hurt sitting between them.
The argument from earlier hadn’t magically disappeared just because they were now surrounded by their family.
Right after apologizing, she suddenly looked back up at the older woman and said,
"Grandma Lucinda, you are definitely not going to have any great-grandchildren coming from me at all. You will just have to patiently wait for your other little grandchildren to grow up and bear you great-grandchildren in the future..."
The heavy statement left the entire place in absolute shock. Even April, who was currently wiping her wet face with a napkin, was completely taken aback by the sudden outburst.
"Ay, Dios mío... What on earth did you just say to her, Angel?"
"Yes, that is the absolute truth, Grandma Lucinda. Your precious daughter-in-law here doesn’t want to have a baby simply because she doesn’t want any change in her life, yet she suddenly wants us to get married... Is getting married not a massive change in itself? She deeply hurt your precious granddaughter’s feelings tonight, and now she is standing here playing the victim..." Angel began to cry genuine tears again while looking directly at her grandmothers.
"Ay, Dios mío... my poor sweet baby..." Grandma Lucinda immediately stood up from her chair, rushing over to wrap her arms around her crying grandchild, gently petting her head to make her stop crying.
Angel immediately leaned into her grandmother’s embrace.
For all her usual confidence, she looked completely defeated now.
April watched the scene with a complicated expression, clearly still emotional herself.
"I literally proposed to her tonight, and she just flat out said, Fuck you to me... Who even says that to their partner?" April blurted out, her jaw tight as she defended herself.
Lucinda’s expression shifted again as she looked between the two girls.
The situation had clearly become much more complicated than a simple argument about being left alone.
"Lucinda, I really think we should leave these kids alone to talk things out by themselves. This is entirely their personal matter..." Paula spoke up softly, clearly seeing that the situation was far out of their reach and only the young couple could properly resolve it.
So, they promptly sent the two girls back home to their cottage.
Meanwhile, the two grandmothers turned around to face Priesto, who was still silently kneeling on the floor.
"Gabriel..." Lucinda called out, her voice dangerously calm.
"Yes, Mama...?" he answered instantly, looking up with wide eyes. Despite being completely independent, owning his own church, and running a successful restaurant, his parents still saw him and treated him like a little child.
"Go straight to bed. It is far too late for this..."
"Yes, Mama..." He scrambled up to his feet and hurried straight out of the restaurant without looking back.
"And as for you..." Lucinda said, turning her head to point a finger at Benny.
"Go back home to your wife right now..."
Benny immediately rested her case. Seeing the terrifying way the woman had easily handled Angel, April, and then Priesto, she quietly stood up from the table and exited the building without saying a word.
Lucinda then turned to face her Alpha wife, giving her a sharp, piercing glare.
"And you... do you honestly think I wouldn’t notice?"
"Notice what, my love?" Paula asked, raising her hands innocently.
"I clearly saw the exact way you were staring at those half-naked ladies earlier when we walked in... Paula, you are officially sleeping on the living room couch tonight..." Lucinda stated coldly, turning on her heel to leave the venue.
"I swear I was not staring at their big boobs and tiny waist with the bum!" Paula called out in a panic, rushing after her wife.
"You are sleeping in the pig farm tonight!"
