Mad Princess
Opening my eyes, I seem to be lying in bed naked this time.
“Oko, you’re awake! How are you feeling!?”
“Rose! Finally you’re awake!”
“I feel good. Why are you so concerned? Did something happen?”
Ane tears up a little, “No oko, it’s fine…Nothing happened…We’re just….So happy to see you today!”
“I’m also really happy to see you two today!”
“I’m glad you feel that way, Rose!” Scarlet says while brushing through my hair.
Leaning into her hand I make a weird noise, “Kyuuuu~”
“Pfft, so cute~”
“Manya, bring me clothes, I want to cuddle but not when naked.”
“Sure!”
Handing me my PJ’s, I quickly put them on then hug both of them.
“You’re really affectionate today, oko.”
“Gao~”
“Gao?”
“Hmm? Oh, I meant yes, haha. I love you both so much.”
“We love you too, oko!”
“Yes, very much so, Rose!”
After hugging for a bit Rayla says, “I’ll go tell the others you’re awake,” and tries to stand up but I hold her back by the arm.
“No. We go together. Manya, carry me.”
“Eh~ Aren’t you forward today! I like it!”
“Gao!”
Scarlet picks me up with a wide smile and carries me towards the other room where two people are sitting at the table reading books.
“Look who’s awake!”
“Eh!?”
“Thank the six…”
Suddenly a strange man walks over to me, “I’m glad you’re finally up again! You slept through the full moon so I-”
“Hiss”
“Don’t hiss at him, Rose. That’s John, your friend. Remember?”
“John…Oh! John! Good morning!”
“Good…Morning? Did you not recognize me?”
“Hmm? What are you talking about? Of course I recognize you.”
“Right…Are you feeling okay?”
“No, hungry. Manya feed me.”
“Sure, do you want something specific?”
“Meat.”
“Okay? What kind.”
“Meat!”
“Uhm okay, I’ll go get you something from downstairs.”
“Good. Ane hold me!”
“Huh? Sure.”
“Go hunt, manya. Rose, safe.”
“Uh…Okay. I’ll…Be right back?”
“Uhh, John? What’s going on?”
“I don’t know. My guess is that either she’s regressing mentally or it’s just a temporary side effect from her instincts taking over. I genuinely don’t know though, all we can do is wait.”
“Can’t you do a test of some kind?”
“I can try an intelligence test but that’s about it. I’m not sure how much that would help either, Tho- Rose’s intelligence and maturity are pretty inconsistent anyways.”
Sher Aka interjects, “I think the fact we’ve been openly talking about her right in front of her without getting a reaction is already quite telling…But if you want us to do a test Rayla then let me do one.”
“What kind of test are you going to do Sher Aka?”
“You’ll see.”
A friendly looking lady gets close to me and in a sing-songy voice says, “Hey Rose, look at me.”
“Okay, Rose look.”
The woman puts her hands over her face waits a few seconds then reveals her face again, “Peekaboo”
“Giggle”
“Peekaboo!”
“Pfft, hahaha.”
“Is this enough of a test for you Rayla or should I keep going?”
“It’s enough…How far did you regress Rose…”
Time passes and manya comes back with meat.
“I wasn’t sure what you wanted Rose so I brought a bit of everything.”
“Good, hungry.” I say then open my mouth.
“Do you…Want me to feed you?”
“Yes, food.”
“Okay, let’s try some cooked chicken breast first.”
Manya puts the meat in my mouth and I try to swallow but it’s too big so I spit it out again.
“Did you not like it?”
“Too big to swallow.”
“Well, you need to chew it first.”
“Yes, chew.”
“Do you…Want me to chew it for you?”
“Yes.”
“But you don’t like it when I chew your food in your cursed or male form?”
“Give food!”
“Okay, I will. Calm down.”
Manya then feeds me until I’m no longer hungry.
“I want cuddle in bed.”
“Right now? But we just got up.”
“I want cuddles!”
“Okay, okay, sorry. Let’s go cuddle.”
The rest of the day goes by in a similar way. It’s only after waking up the next day that I come back to my senses.
“Good morning, Rose. Did-”
“I’m so sorry! I don’t know what came over me yesterday!”
“Phew I’m glad you’re back, oko. But I’m surprised. Do you remember what happened yesterday?”
“I do! I acted so shameful and selfish, I’m sorry. I’m not sure now why I did all that but in my memory it all felt like it made sense at the time.”
“It’s alright, oko. We’re not mad at you. Can I take a quick look at your back though?”
“Sure…”
“Hmm…Looks like the mark stopped glowing.”
“The curse was glowing before? Is that why I acted so shamefully?”
“Probably. But really it wasn’t that bad. Also seeing you like this yesterday had a good side too! John approved for you to do more heavy exercises now.”
“Really?”
“Yep! Seeing you run after Scarlet for a few steps when she tried to go to the toilet made him think you’re ready.”
“Please don’t remind me of that…”
“Pfft, sorry. But it is good news! John even said your body recovered a decent amount during your xxx!”
“My what?”
“Oh, uhm nothing. Forget about it.”
“Okay.”
The next week passes without any problems. During it I train my body more to where I’m now at a point where I can walk again even if I get exhausted quickly from it. I also did loads of fun things with everyone doing that time, like going to concerts, museums and plays as well as just hanging out with everyone playing cards and talking. I also wrote some letters to Uli during that time and at the end of each day I always prayed to Holly and told her about the things I did that day.
Today, we’re all going to pick up my clothes together then go to a playground to show them off. Both due to me not having any clothes besides the pajamas and because I want to conserve my strength for later, Scarlet carries me into the shop while I’m in my small form. There seems to be a bit of a commotion as two very rich looking noblewomen surrounded by guards argue with some of the staff.
“What do you mean she’s busy!?” The richer looking of the two noble women yells. She has long curly brown hair, green eyes and is clad in expensive looking clothes and jewelry. Overall she is also a very attractive looking young woman, probably around her early twenties.
“I’m sorry your Highness, it’s just that Miss Kǒngquè is very busy at the moment.”
The other woman who wears slightly fewer jewels hides her face behind a jewel encrusted fan and answers, “How dare a commoner seamstress make her Highness Sybelle Kroy, Third Princess of the kingdom of Kroy wait!?”
Similar to the princess, she looks in her early twenties but is noticeably less beautiful than her. She looks slightly above average while the princess looks very pretty. But it would be a lot less noticeable if they weren’t standing next to each other.
“I’m very sorry my Lady but there is nothing I can do. How about I give you an appointment for tomorrow?”
“You dare, make me wait a whole day I should…”
Watching this unfold for a bit with an exasperated look Scarlet loudly clears her throat, “Uhum! I have two sets of clothes I need to collect.”
“Ah, yes of course! Please follow me to the back.”
“Excuse me!? You’re going to serve this no name brat before me!?”
“Well your Highness, they have an appoitnm-”
“I don’t care!” Angrily the princess struts towards Scarlet and me, her guards keeping a close eye on all of us, “You there! Yield your appointment to us.”
“No.”
“What do you mean, no!? I’m the princess of this kingdom!”
“So?”
“What do you mean ‘so’!? I own this kingdom!”
“Last I checked a third princess like you doesn’t own anything besides a sense of entitlement. Everything you think you own is just your father’s money, if you had any real power you’d be a crown princess.”
“Gasp How dare a lowly twerp such as you say that to me!” Princess Sybelle screams before slapping Scarlet in the face.
“Manya…” looking at this scene I’m filled with rage. I need to actively restrain myself from transforming into my cursed form and attacking her. I don’t think I’ve ever been this angry before in my entire life. It feels like my rage is overflowing as my head gets dizzy and my mouth moves on my own and in a voice that seems to echo itself multiple times say, “How dare you hurt my sister.You call yourself noble yet you're nothing but vermin. And vermin needs to be eradicated.”
The princess and the guards surrounding her then begin to tremble and the princess grasps at her heart seemingly struggling to breathe and even Sally gets affected by my emotions starting to gather loads of natural fire mana around her and beginning to set themselves ablaze. Then suddenly I feel Scarlet’s mouth on my cheek blowing air onto it making a farting noise.
“Eh!? Manya, what are you doing?”
“Calming you down, you seemed a little tense.”
“I did?”
“Yep, but now you’re all cute again it makes me want to give you many smooches!”
“Hahaha, stop it manya.”
“Nope, I’ll smooch you all I want!”
“H-Hey you! What was that, what did you do?”
Scarlet raises an eyebrow, “I’m not sure what you’re talking about, your Highness.”
“That kid, it…It did something to us!”
“You mean my little, Rose? She’s still a baby, how could she do anything to you, your Highness?”
“That brat insulted me and I could clearly feel my heart give out and the guards shaking!”
“My apologies about my little sister's harsh words. I didn’t think they would shake you so much you’d get heart palpitations. No wonder your guards were shaking, they must have been concerned.”
“Wh-what? That’s not what happened!”
“Are you alright, your Highness? You seem pale. Perhaps it might be good to sit down for a bit and have some snacks.”
“Wh-what?”
One of her guards then kneels in front of her, “It’s true you look very pale, your Highness. Please take a seat.”
“Uhm…Alright?”
As the princess is being led to a seat Scarlet nods at John, Sher Aka and Rayla and we move to the back of the store.
