Chapter 164: 164. Training complete.
"Do you realise it now?"
Seeing that the fox had stopped his antics, Reko looked at it and asked politely.
…
"You!? What do you want?"
Frustrated, the fox asked with an angry expression. There was nothing it could do. Similar to Naruto, the Nine-Tails had also witnessed the changes in Reko.
And being the least liked among those present on the island, it was very aware of the extent of Reko's strength and pettiness.
He was obviously not scared. But if possible, he would certainly go with a negotiation.
"Just let him control this chakra. It is not that difficult."
Reko did not change his tone. He was still polite as if making a request. The request was not very humble though. He was asking the Nine-Tails to let all of its chakra under Naruto.
The Nine-tails looked stumped. Its expression was unreadable as its mouth twitched to speak but did not utter a word.
'Isn't he literally asking me to give up on everything?'
Nine-tails thought as he heard Reko's words.
'He is just saying that he wants me to remain in captivity while this orange dumbass siphons and uses my chakra? Never!!'
The Nine-Tails imagined Naruto spamming his special move, the multi Shadow Clone with its endless chakra. not liking the thought of it. Not at all.
"If he can manage my immense chakra reserves then he is free to use it."
He said this proudly but deep down in his heart, he was aware that it was only a matter of weeks.
Once he stops tweaking with Naruto's Chakra control, the brat would surely learn to control it all.
If not that then Reko would surely take it upon himself to make it possible. Either way, he was on the losing side. Unfortunately, he did not have much of an option.
At least, he managed to keep his pride and did not completely give in.
"Woah!!! Just like that??"
Naruto looked at Reko in awe as he learned that the negotiation had been so easy.
"Wasn't I saying the exact same thing to that grumpy fox??"
He pouted, upset that the same words when said by him were ineffective.
"What made him consider your words and not mine? He is literally inside me, living with me!!"
He grumbled.
"Appears, I am popular with tailed beasts too. I do have the strength to be popular though."
Reko just shrugged as he listened to Naruto's rambling before he gave a bright smile and spoke loudly as if he had a realization.
Seeing that the words said by Reko did not help Naruto in any way, Jiraiya decided to chime in and spoke to Naruto.
"This is normal. You should read about the first Hokage. He was known for his strength. He literally captured all the tailed beasts and distributed them to the villages."
Jiraiya began to give a brief summary of the warring era that the First Hokage had survived.
…
A month later
Naruto stood on the water surface near the shore, his eyes closed and his body enclad in a bright yellow robe.
"Is this it?"
One of the toads standing on Jiraiya's shoulder mumbled as he stared at the cloak around Naruto.
"Yeah. It took him some time but it was worth it."
Jiraiya nodded as he answered. This was the result of a month of very hard training and Nine-tails support.
Naruto was able to use the chakra cloak, fully utilising the Nine-Tails chakra.
"Obviously! The amount of chakra he is radiating is unfathomable!"
The other toad beside Jiraiya agreed. The amount of chakra he could sense was dazzling.
If a sensory shinobi were to use their skill, they would see a giant ball of chakra.
"Very surprising. Naruto has already reached if not surpassed his level."
The Sage recalled how bright Minato was in his skills. This power up in Naruto had certainly put them as equals.
"He has become powerful but battle strategy? I am not sure about that. He will need some time to get there."
The other Sage disagreed with his friend. Naruto might be Minato's son but Minato was an effortless genius who has mastered Senjutsu.
There was no comparison. Not for now.
"He has been battling Reko all this time, even me at times. The battle strategy won't be a problem."
Jiraiya showed a wide grin as he revealed that Naruto had been appropriately trained by him and Reko.
The least he would lack was battle experience. He could assure that much.
"You fought? Why didn't you call us?"
Both of the Sages spoke in sync when they heard Jiraiya mention training.
They were very interested in knowing how the fully tamed Nine-Tails performed in a battle.
Unfortunately, they missed out because Jiraiya did not call them.
"Heh! I was slightly motivated and thought of doing it without Senjutsu."
Rubbing the back of his head, Jiraiya showed an embarrassed smile as he revealed.
He wanted to experience it too. A battle against Nine-Tails.
"It was exhausting but fun."
Jiraiya gave thumbs up as if rating the experience as he spoke to the Sages.
…
Reko walked in the Senju quarters. He had come back for a quick visit and found out that Tsunade was in the Senju compounds.
So, he decided to go and greet her.
"Woah! Look who has come back after their little trip to hunt Akatsuki."
Just as Reko was about to greet Tsunade with a bright smile, she made a sarcastic remark on him.
"Hello, pretty lady."
Reko waved his hands, completely ignoring the look on Tsunade's face.
She looked pissed.
"You don't need to be that grumpy. I was just training."
Kicking off the ground, he jumped and sat on one of the walls inside the Senju compounds as he spoke to Tsunade.
"And how long were you going to take before informing me that?"
Tsunade looked pissed when she asked this. She had been worried and made a few of the village's spies ineffective because of this search.
"Not long. Just after I finished my little trip."
Reko looked away, whistling, he was ready to jump and dodge an attack.
"Unfortunately, you used your unfathomable resources and found my location in an instant."
He shrugged, explaining his helplessness. Before he could inform that he was out training, Tsunade had already found out.
