Chapter 267: End of the Chu Family Trip
"Don't worry, Bro. My goal is to catch up to you, so you'd better keep pushing yourself. Watch out, or I might surpass you in the future," Chu Hao said.
"Hahaha, is that so? I'll be waiting for the day you surpass me, then. But the path of the Martial Dao is incredibly arduous. It requires a lot of sweat and hard work," Chu Feng said.
"That's right, Xiao Hao," Chu Qingqing added from the side. "If you're going to walk this path, don't get ahead of yourself. You have to stay grounded and keep a low profile. Don't get complacent just because you gain a little strength. You must remain humble and never forget who you are!"
In truth, this path was incredibly difficult to walk.
She had been with the Chu Family for thirty-odd years and had been cultivating for more than twenty of them, yet she was still only in the Body Tempering Realm.
She hadn't even managed to step into the Qi Cultivation Realm, which just went to show how difficult it truly was.
The most critical part was that, compared to the rest of the Chu Family, her cultivation speed wasn't even considered particularly slow. There were plenty of people faring worse than her.
Geniuses like Chu Wushuang, on the other hand, were exceptionally rare.
If Chu Feng hadn't appeared, Chu Wushuang would still be sitting firmly on the throne as the number one of the Chu Family's younger generation.
"So, Sister, what realm are you at now?" Chu Hao asked.
"Me? I'm pretty useless," Chu Qingqing said with a sigh. "I've been cultivating for over twenty years, and I'm only at the Body Tempering Realm. I haven't even broken through to Qi Cultivation."
"When it comes to the Martial Dao, cultivation depends on talent," Chu Feng explained. "Those with great talent will progress very quickly. For someone with average talent, it's incredibly difficult to improve at the same rate."
"I can feel my cultivation getting harder and harder now," Su Miaoke said from the passenger seat, a look of resignation on her face.
She had been cultivating for a while now, and that was with the help of Chu Feng's Medicinal Liquid. Otherwise, there was no way her strength could have improved so quickly.
If she had been cultivating on her own, she probably would have never been able to reach a high realm.
"So, Sister-in-law, what realm are you at now?" Chu Hao asked curiously.
"Me? I'm probably about the same as your sister Qingqing," Su Miaoke said.
"And how strong is someone at that realm?" Chu Hao asked.
"With the strength your sister-in-law and your sister have, four or five regular adult men couldn't beat them," Chu Feng said.
In reality, anyone who could cultivate to this realm was already quite strong.
If they had a lot of combat experience, then even seven or eight adult men would be no match for them.
"But when I fought against Zhao Qinghan and her group, I was completely crushed," Su Miaoke said, looking upset.
"You've only been cultivating for a few months and have very little combat experience. Once you have more experience, you'll naturally be able to win against them," Chu Feng said.
"Hmph. The moment I can beat them, you'll be the first person I use for practice. As it is now, I don't even dare to try anything with you. You'd just beat me up, and I'd have nowhere to run and cry," Su Miaoke retorted.
"How could I ever bear to hit you?" Chu Feng said, looking completely baffled.
As the two of them flirted and bickered, the whole family in the car burst into laughter.
Not long after, they arrived at the airport in Zhongnan City.
Chu Feng had Chu Hao take Chu Qingqing back to Beihai, while he, Su Miaoke, and his parents would head back to Fuhe Village first.
"Xiao Hao, once you get back, make sure you take good care of our sister. Your apartment should be done with renovations, so let her stay there for now. Then, contact Gao Feng and have him arrange a job for her," Chu Feng instructed.
"Don't worry, Bro. I'll get all of that arranged. You guys go back and spend some quality time with Mom and Dad," Chu Hao replied.
"Xiao Feng, don't you worry about me. Go spend time with your uncle and auntie. We'll see each other in Beihai," Chu Qingqing said, waving goodbye to Chu Feng.
"Hahaha, I hope you've found a partner by the time I get back," Chu Feng said with a laugh.
"Qingqing, Xiao Feng is right. It's about time for you to find a partner at your age. If you do, remember to bring him home for your uncle and auntie to meet. And when you have time, come visit often," Chu Yuntian said.
He and his own older brother had been very close, but for certain reasons, they hadn't seen each other in decades.
He never expected that their meeting all those decades ago would turn out to be their final farewell.
Because of this, deep down, he had long since come to think of Chu Qingqing as his own daughter.
"Uncle, Auntie, don't you worry. Once I find a partner, I'll bring him back to meet you," Chu Qingqing said, waving with tears welling up in her eyes.
After seeing the two of them off, Chu Feng returned to Fuhe Village with Su Miaoke and his parents.
The two of them had planned to return to their hometown to cultivate anyway; after all, their progress would be faster there than in Beihai.
"By the way, Dad, how are the village renovations coming along?" Chu Feng asked.
"It's pretty much all done. By now, there should only be some finishing touches left," Chu Yuntian said.
"I heard it only cost about ten million this time. They said they need to give me a refund, because you apparently paid a deposit of one hundred million!" Chu Yuntian exclaimed.
"A ninety million refund?" Su Miaoke couldn't believe what she was hearing.
Renovating the entire village should have been a tight squeeze even with one hundred million. To think there was money left over for a refund was astounding.
