Chapter 251: Teach You a Good Lesson
"That’s forty. Counting that old man from before, it’s forty-one. Does anyone else want to come up?" Chu Feng said with a smile, his voice booming.
’This feeling is incredible. I’ve never had such a satisfying fight.’
Meanwhile, the Chu Family disciples below the stage were all livid with rage.
This battle had also alarmed the upper echelons of the Chu Family, including Patriarch Chu Wuji and some of the family’s top prodigies.
Even the once-famous Chu Tianshan, a prominent figure from the Chu Family’s younger generation, had been roused by the commotion.
In his youth, he had carved out a magnificent reputation on the path of the Martial Dao, and the scions of many Martial Arts Families were no match for him.
In the Chu Family Ancestral Hall, the family’s upper echelons had gathered.
"Patriarch, that Chu Feng has already won forty-one matches in a row. What are we going to do?" someone asked indignantly.
They were all elders, members of the Chu Family’s senior leadership, and well advanced in years.
On the path of the Martial Dao, it was generally understood that aside from a few heaven-defying freaks of nature, strength increased with age.
Chu Feng’s arrival gave them a great sense of crisis, but at the same time, it was a profound humiliation!
"Does anyone have a good solution?" Chu Wuji asked, looking at the assembled men.
"I believe that even though the boy once belonged to the Chu Family, he is far too arrogant and domineering. He has no respect for anyone and lacks any sense of deference to his elders and betters," one person spoke up.
"Hah, no respect for anyone? Deference to his elders? And how did you all handle the matter with Third Brother back then? All because he fell in love with a woman from an outside clan... and what was the result? It’s no wonder the boy is acting like this today. After all, on the path of the Martial Dao, fists and strength are what matter," someone else retorted with a cold snort.
"Are you saying Chu Feng is so strong that he gets to let his fists do the talking?" another person demanded.
"I wouldn’t say he’s *that* strong. He’s only what, twenty-seven or twenty-eight? And he’s already at the Qi Cultivation Realm. Honestly, that’s just decent. Not exceptionally strong. It’s only because our Chu Family suffered such a devastating blow back then that you all think someone like Chu Feng is a prodigy," another countered, clearly displeased.
As the men continued to argue, Chu Wuji frowned and finally spoke.
"The Chu Family has indeed remained in seclusion for too long. While it has given us decades to rest and recuperate, it has also turned our descendants into hothouse flowers, unable to withstand the slightest hardship. We must send them out to gain real-world experience."
"If the younger generation doesn’t go out to be tested, if they don’t experience some adversity, will they be able to stand on their own when the Chu Family faces a true crisis? It’s one thing while we old men are still around, but once we’re gone, the Chu Family is finished!"
"Therefore, no matter what, the Chu Family must have its revenge against the Qing Gang!"
Back on the training ground, Chu Feng continued to taunt the crowd for some time, but no one dared to step forward.
By now, everyone understood that this Chu Feng character wasn’t someone who could be easily defeated—at least, not by any of them.
The man was simply outrageous. He had fought forty-one matches by himself, yet he was still brimming with fighting spirit, showing no signs of fatigue.
"Quick, go get Chu Wushuang! Let him fight this guy!"
The name Chu Wushuang began to circulate in hushed tones among the crowd.
"Oh? Chu Wushuang?" Chu Feng looked down at the crowd, a grin spreading across his face. "Then you’d better hurry up and get him. Otherwise, once I’ve recovered my energy, it’ll be even harder for you all."
To the crowd, his smile was so infuriatingly smug that it made them grit their teeth in rage.
"Damn it, he’s so arrogant! I’m so pissed off I could die!" someone raged, on the verge of losing their mind.
"Somebody! Anybody! Get rid of this guy! I don’t want to see his face anymore!" another person yelled frantically, clearly driven to distraction by Chu Feng’s taunts.
"Sigh... It’s too difficult to take him down. His strength has reached the Qi Cultivation Realm. Look around, how many of us have reached Qi Cultivation? Going up to fight him is like a lamb to the slaughter. It’s pointless!"
"That’s right. Even an Elder lost to him earlier. If we go up, we’ll just get crushed. We’d be nothing but cannon fodder."
Deep down, they all knew the truth but were unwilling to admit it.
Even if all of them attacked at once, they still wouldn’t be able to defeat Chu Feng.
The Chu Wushuang they mentioned was the strongest member of the Chu Family’s younger generation, who had also reached the Qi Cultivation Realm.
That was why people were scrambling to find this Chu Wushuang, hoping he would come and defeat Chu Feng.
But evidently, Chu Wushuang wasn’t around. He was likely in the middle of his Cultivation and hadn’t emerged.
"Still no one? Are you all scared? Too afraid to come up? In that case, you old-timers can come on up, too. I don’t care how old you are, just get up here!" Chu Feng declared arrogantly.
"Younger Brother, you can’t do that!" Chu Qingqing cried out.
"Huh? Cousin, why not?" Chu Feng asked, puzzled.
"The Chu Family still has quite a few people in the Qi Cultivation Realm, and even experts at the Peak of Qi Cultivation! If you open the challenge to any age, you’ll be at a disadvantage!" Chu Qingqing said anxiously.
She knew the true extent of the Chu Family’s power and was well aware that many of the older members were extremely strong, which was why she was so worried.
"Don’t worry, it’s fine," Chu Feng said with a laugh. "Beating up the young ones is boring, and people will just accuse me of being a bully. It’s more interesting to fight the old ones. So, is anyone coming? Or is everyone in the Chu Family this gutless?"
He deliberately raised his voice, shouting for all to hear. His goal today was to make sure everyone in the Chu Family knew that he, Chu Feng, was not to be provoked.
And his uncle, Chu Yunfei, would not have died in vain!
And you couldn’t blame Chu Feng for his arrogance; the current younger generation of the Chu Family was truly pathetic.
They were as green as they come. After decades in seclusion, although their numbers had recovered, their strength was nothing to write home about. At least, in Chu Feng’s eyes, they were laughably weak.
’How many more years could a family like this even survive? Wasn’t its destruction just a matter of time?’
’It might not even take a few years before they’re completely finished.’
Down in the crowd, a man in his fifties heard this and was so furious he looked like smoke was about to pour from his ears.
"You little brat! You’re young, but your mouth is outrageously arrogant. Today, I’m going to teach you a proper lesson!"
The man took a single stride and appeared directly on the training ground.
His eyes were sharp, and he wore a fierce expression.
In truth, many of the Chu Family’s older generation had arrived long ago. They were all observing the fight from a distance, but none had said a word.
"Hah, teach me a lesson?" Chu Feng sneered, his face full of contempt. "You talk big, but let’s see if you have the skills to back it up!"
