Chapter 245: Going to the Chu Family
"Actually, you’ll find out the truth if you just ask your father," the person on the other end said.
"So what if I do have an uncle? If he really considered my dad his brother, why didn’t he ever show up when Dad was in trouble?" Chu Feng demanded.
"Back then, your uncle didn’t know what happened to your father. He was seriously injured, and the family went into seclusion, so he was completely unaware. It was only after he found out about you that he insisted I contact you and ask you to return," the person said.
"Then why didn’t he contact me himself?" Chu Feng asked.

Chu Feng hesitated. ’Should I ask my father about this? After all, he’s never mentioned it to me before.’

"Dad, what are you up to?" Chu Feng asked once the call went through.
"I was just about to make dinner. What’s up?" Chu Yuntian asked.

Chu Feng could clearly hear his father’s heart begin to race.
"He passed away," Chu Feng said.

"The Chu Family wants me to make a trip back. So, what’s the story with this uncle?" Chu Feng asked.
Chu Yuntian fell silent again, his silence filled with sorrow and grief.
Chu Feng could hear what sounded like his father crying over the phone, followed by a long sigh.
"Your uncle... we were half-brothers, same father. He stayed behind with the Chu Family, while your grandfather and I came to Fuhe Village when I was just a boy. It must have been decades since we last met," Chu Yuntian said, sighing.
"So, should I make the trip?" Chu Feng asked.

"Yes, bring him. Your mother and I are going too. Now that your uncle is gone, life will be hard for your cousin. We have to go and check on her," Chu Yuntian said.

Chu Feng then explained the situation to Su Miaoke.
"We’re leaving right now? The whole family is going?" Su Miaoke asked, surprised.

He then called Chu Hao.
"Xiao Hao, I’m sending you an address. Get over here right away. Pack a change of clothes," Chu Feng said.

"We’re making a trip back to the Chu Family. Mom and Dad are coming with us," Chu Feng said.

"Okay." Though Chu Hao was confused, he didn’t press for details, choosing to trust his brother.

"I doubt the Chu Family can compare to the Zhao Family. After all, my family was almost wiped out before," Chu Feng said.
"Okay, I’ll go pack my things," Su Miaoke said, nodding.
By the time the two of them finished packing, Chu Hao had arrived by car.
"Bro, what are you and my sister-in-law doing here?" This was Chu Hao’s first time at this place, and he was curious.

The three of them then took a car to the airport.

Two hours later, the plane arrived at Zhongnan City Airport.
Chu Feng’s father was already waiting for them in a car.
He had already tasked Secretary Wang with arranging a car to pick up his parents and have them wait at the airport.
