Chapter 106: Entering the Factory
Chu Feng suppressed his elation, slowly getting to his feet and stretching.
In that instant, his entire body felt significantly lighter.
Chu Feng even tried throwing a punch.
CRACK!
The force of his punch created an explosive sound, like a small detonation, that woke the soundly sleeping Su Miaoke.
"Honey, why are you up so early?" Su Miaoke asked drowsily.
"I’m up for Cultivation. Come on, let’s hurry outside and practice," Chu Feng said.
But Su Miaoke lay back down and said, "Nope. I need to sleep a little longer."
"Sigh. I see you’re just like Su Jun—you both love sleeping in," Chu Feng lamented, then went to make breakfast.
Although Su Miaoke said she was going back to sleep, she got up soon after. She washed up just in time to eat breakfast.
Afterward, the two went to the park out back to begin their Cultivation.

Chu Feng was still practicing the Taiqing Palm Skill, but this time, the sound and explosive force of his strikes were far stronger than before.
Su Miaoke’s eyes went wide when she heard the difference.
"Honey, did your power increase?" Su Miaoke asked excitedly.
Chu Feng just smiled faintly in response. "Yeah, I had a small breakthrough yesterday."
"You had another breakthrough, and I’m still treading water. That’s it! Starting today, I’m going to take my Cultivation seriously too," Su Miaoke said, her eyes filled with envy.
For the next hour, Su Miaoke was completely focused on her Cultivation.
An hour later, Chu Feng called out to her.
"It’s time for work," Chu Feng said.
Only then did Su Miaoke reluctantly stop her Cultivation.
Su Miaoke dropped Chu Feng off at her parents’ house, then headed to the office herself.
It was only seven-thirty when Chu Feng arrived at his mother-in-law’s house.
To Chu Feng’s surprise, Su Jun was already up.
"Brother-in-law, have you had breakfast?" Su Jun asked.
"I already ate," Chu Feng replied.
"Great, let’s head to work then," Su Jun said cheerfully.
"You look pretty excited. Feeling confident in yourself?" Chu Feng asked with a smile.
"You know it! For a hundred-thousand-yuan salary, I’ve got to give it my all," Su Jun said.
"Heh, well, you’d better be ready. The reality might not be anything like what you’re imagining," Chu Feng said with a chuckle.
"Brother-in-law, can’t you have some faith in me? I’m totally prepared for this!" Su Jun said, his confidence unshaken.
Seeing Su Jun’s confidence, Chu Feng couldn’t help but feel a sense of approval.
’Su Jun might be an ignorant good-for-nothing, but it would be great if he could actually turn over a new leaf and walk the right path.’
The two of them went to an electronics factory. It was a large-scale operation with several thousand employees.
Just getting from the factory gate to the work area was a ten-minute walk.
The factory was in a fairly remote location, so for convenience, they both opted to live in the company dorms. They could still go home when they had free time.
The first day consisted of a pre-employment physical and filling out onboarding paperwork. Then, they were assigned a dorm room. After buying some daily necessities, they attended a brief training session in the afternoon.
The training would last for three days, but thankfully, the initial sessions were only eight hours long, which wouldn’t prevent Chu Feng from participating in that God of Gamblers tournament.
"Remember, you need to keep your temper in check here," Chu Feng instructed. "Don’t put on any airs, or you’re liable to get your ass kicked. Pay attention to how you treat people."
Even though they were starting work at the same time, it didn’t mean they’d be together constantly.
"Don’t worry, Brother-in-law," Su Jun said. "You know me. I wouldn’t do anything like that."
"Good. You should stay here tonight and start getting acclimated. I need to get back to your sister. I’ll see you in the morning. If anything happens, call me immediately," Chu Feng said.
"Alright, Brother-in-law. You should hurry back to my sister. She’s all alone at home; I’m sure she’s missing you," Su Jun said with a mischievous grin.
"Get outta here. Stop messing with me," Chu Feng said.
The dorm was a four-person room, so it wasn’t too crowded. The living conditions were decent, much like a university dorm.
So, although Su Jun was a little disdainful of his new lodgings, he had already made up his mind, so he resolved to stick it out.
After leaving the electronics factory, Chu Feng suddenly remembered that Gao Feng’s factory was located nearby.
So, he made a spur-of-the-moment decision to go check it out, since it wasn’t dark yet.
Gao Feng’s factory had a partnership with the Su Group, so there was no shortage of orders, and business was booming.
Once outside the factory gates, Chu Feng gave Gao Feng a call.
The moment he answered Chu Feng’s call, Gao Feng immediately drove over to pick him up.
Chu Feng was surprised when he saw Gao Feng’s car.
"Madman!" Gao Feng exclaimed as he got out of the car, pulling Chu Feng right into a huge hug.
Seeing Gao Feng, Chu Feng immediately broke into a laugh. "Man, it’s only been a few days and you’ve already put on weight."
"Whoa, driving a Mercedes now?" Chu Feng said with a grin.
Gao Feng was driving a Mercedes E300L, and his whole demeanor was completely different from before.
"It’s used," Gao Feng said, giving Chu Feng a friendly punch on the shoulder. "Still, I’m a small-time boss now, so I’ve gotta drive something decent. And this is all thanks to you. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have any of this."
"What made you decide to call me all of a sudden? It’s about time for dinner. You wanna go grab a drink, brother?" Gao Feng asked.
"Sounds good. I was just passing by and remembered your factory was around here. Thought I’d come tour the famous President Gao’s facility," Chu Feng joked.
"Let’s go, then!" With that, Gao Feng pulled Chu Feng into the car.
In the car, Chu Feng explained his real reason for being there.
"Why didn’t you just leave your brother-in-law with me? I guarantee I’d pay him well for an easy job," Gao Feng said.
"Forget it. The whole point is for him to learn some hardship. If I wanted it easy for him, wouldn’t my father-in-law have just made him a factory manager somewhere?" Chu Feng said.
"That’s true, I guess," Gao Feng said.
"The kid is full of drive at the moment, but I have no idea how long he can keep it up," Chu Feng said.
’After all, Su Jun’s old lifestyle and working in a factory were as different as night and day. There was a good chance he wouldn’t last.’
"These rich kids need to taste a bit of hardship to learn how difficult it is to earn money," Gao Feng said. "Working the line in an electronics factory isn’t easy. Most young people can’t handle it; the only ones who can are the older workers."
"Yeah," Chu Feng said in complete agreement.
After touring the factory, Chu Feng couldn’t help but marvel. ’Once a factory like this is up and running, as long as it has a steady stream of orders, its growth potential is incredible.’
