Chapter 71: Crisis Reappears
Chu Feng’s words terrified Wang Xuan. Investigate the Tang Family? That was a death sentence.
Even Sixth Master Zhao didn’t dare to offend the Tang Family lightly. The Wang Family was just a minor family under his protection, and they only had a foothold in Beihai thanks to his patronage.
"What? You can’t do it?" Chu Feng slowly approached, his gaze icy.
Wang Xuan met Chu Feng’s icy gaze, and his expression crumpled. He looked like he was about to cry.
It couldn’t be helped. Chu Feng’s glare was just too terrifying.
He didn’t want to get beaten again; it was just too painful.
"No... I..." Wang Xuan’s face was a mask of bitterness. He was so miserable he wanted to cry but couldn’t, completely at a loss for words.
"If you don’t want to do it, that’s fine. I’ll just have a word with Zhao Quan." As he spoke, Chu Feng started to dial Zhao Quan’s number.
At the sight of this, Wang Xuan immediately stopped Chu Feng and shouted, "Brother Chu, I’ll do it! I’ll do it!"
The mere mention of Zhao Quan struck terror deep into his heart. The memory of the day Zhao Quan had beaten him was an absolute nightmare.
Wang Xuan had no desire to relive that moment. His entire body still ached.
"Good. Find out where they live, how many people are there, and everything you can on Tang Mu. Call me when you have something," Chu Feng said, leaving his number.
"Mom, Dad, let’s go," Chu Feng said, walking over to his parents.
Chu Yuntian’s face was filled with astonishment as he studied his son intently.
He never imagined his son would become so influential in Beihai City, far more so than he himself had ever been.
Seeing that the trouble was over, Chu Feng’s mother didn’t ask any questions. She just hurriedly pulled him away, not wanting to stay a moment longer.
Once they were in the car, Chu Feng finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Mom, Dad, I’ll take you home first," Chu Feng said.
Chu Yuntian simply asked, "Is it *that* Tang Family?"
Chu Feng replied, "There’s only one Tang Family. Is there another one I should know about?"
Hearing this, Chu Yuntian’s expression immediately soured. "Xiao Feng," he said, "I don’t want you getting involved in these things."
"What things? Xiao Feng, please don’t do anything reckless! If something were to happen to you, what would your father and I do?" Chu Feng’s mother said anxiously, sensing something was wrong from their conversation.
"Oh, Mom, it’s nothing. I’ll be fine. It’s just that the Tang Family owes Miaoke and me some money. It’s a company matter, and now they’re just avoiding us," Chu Feng said, trying to wave it off.
He didn’t want his parents to know about these things, and he certainly didn’t want them to worry.
Chu Yuntian knew Chu Feng was lying to spare them the worry, so he didn’t call him out on it. He simply said with grave sincerity, "Then you need to be careful."
Chu Feng nodded. "I will, Dad. Don’t worry."
Soon, Chu Feng had dropped his parents off back at the villa.
The Bright Moon Mountain Villa had its own security, and the neighborhood was very safe, so Chu Feng wasn’t too concerned.
After dropping his parents off, Chu Feng immediately rushed to the company.
Just as his car was pulling away from the Bright Moon Mountain Villa, Chu Feng’s phone rang.
"Chu Feng, get over here, quick! It’s Miaoke... Something’s happened to her!" It was his father-in-law, Su Linsheng, his voice frantic on the other end of the line.
"What? Where?" Chu Feng was stunned.
’I can’t believe it. I was only gone for a little while, and Su Miaoke is already in trouble.’
"At... at the company! You... what are you doing? How dare you—!" Su Linsheng’s voice was cut off, and the line went dead.
Hearing the dead line, Chu Feng roared, "I don’t care who you are! If you dare touch my family, I’ll make sure there isn’t even a grave for you to be buried in!"
At the same time, Chu Feng slammed his foot on the accelerator, and the car tore down the road.
Moments later, a chilling laugh echoed from the other end of the line. "Chu Feng, I’m going to let you feel what it’s like to lose your loved ones. You have ten minutes to see your father-in-law and your wife one last time. Otherwise, you can all reunite in the afterlife."
"You bastard! You just wait!" Chu Feng cursed.
After he spoke, the call was disconnected.
Fury burned in Chu Feng’s eyes.
Soon, Chu Feng screeched to a halt in front of the company. He bolted from the car without even closing the door and ran straight for the main building.
The company employees saw Chu Feng storming in and looked on in confusion, seemingly unable to understand what was happening.
"President Chu, what’s wrong?" Su Miaoke’s secretary asked curiously.
"Where’s President Su?" Chu Feng demanded.
"President Su? She’s in Chairman Su’s office. I think they were having a discussion," Su Miaoke’s secretary said.
Chu Feng made a beeline for Su Linsheng’s office.
The moment he threw the door open, the scene before him sent him into a rage.
Su Miaoke and Su Linsheng were both lying on the floor, barely breathing. Their faces had taken on a bluish tint, as if they had been poisoned.
They weren’t unconscious, but it was clear from their expressions that they were in extreme pain.
On the sofa beside them, a young man in a suit sat with his legs crossed, glancing at his watch with a mocking smirk on his face.
"Eight minutes. Not bad," the young man sneered.
"You bastard!" Furious, Chu Feng charged straight at him.
But the young man called out, "Hold on! You don’t want your father-in-law and wife to die right now, do you?"
Only then did Chu Feng manage to suppress his fury.
’That’s right. The first priority is to cure Su Linsheng and Su Miaoke of the poison.’
Chu Feng went to their side. With a slight frown, he stretched out his hands and placed them on their shoulders.
He immediately began to channel the Spiritual Power from his own body into theirs.
The young man saw this and continued to sneer. "Oh, Chu Feng, look at you now. When you killed my brother, did you ever imagine you’d end up like this?"
"You’re Tang Lin’s brother?" Chu Feng turned to look at Tang Mu, his eyes like ice as he asked through gritted teeth.
"That’s right. I am Tang Mu. You killed my brother, so today I’ll kill your father-in-law and your wife. I’ll let you feel what it’s like to lose those closest to you!" Tang Mu’s gaze was incredibly cold, and the smile playing on his lips was terrifying.
Chu Feng glanced at the man’s forehead. A vast, blood-red aura of sin was swirling there.
Sin Value: -19,000!
This guy’s Sin Value was even higher than that Wizard from the Southern Border.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Chu Feng detonated the man’s Sin Value.
’In less than three hours, this guy will be dead!’
"You’ll soon be following in your brother’s footsteps," Chu Feng said icily.
Tang Mu roared with laughter at his words. "AHAHAHA."
