After the Great Dao Died

Chapter 106: Kill the Crown Prince With Me

Over half a shichen ago, two figures arrived at the foot of Qiaoji Mountain.

Xiao Taozhuo wore a narrow longsword at her waist. Fine flowing-cloud patterns were engraved on the scabbard, gleaming with a cold, spectral silver in the twilight's fading glow.

Her lips were slightly pursed, her brows knit. Her normally bright, radiant face now bore an irrepressible trace of grievance as she trailed closely behind a burly figure.

The man walking ahead of her had broad shoulders and a wide back, looking like a moving wall of iron.

A saber hung at his waist. The blade was more than two fingers wider than an ordinary Goose-Quill Saber, housed in a pitch-black scabbard completely devoid of decoration. It exuded a heavy, unquestionable aura of death.

Mountain wind poured through the pass, whipping his robes until they snapped and fluttered.

Oblivious, he simply marched forward with long strides. Each step he took on the jagged, rock-strewn mountain path let out a dull, resolute thud.

Staring at his back, Xiao Taozhuo finally hit her limit.

She quickened her pace, nearly stepping on the hem of his wind-tossed black cape. Her voice was laced with pleading. "Second Uncle! Do you really have to drag me back? I barely managed to sneak out, and I haven't had enough fun yet."
