Chen Lingxi laid the unconscious Lin Longyue flat on the smooth bluestone in the center of the cave, then sat cross-legged beside her.
The cave was dim. Only a small patch of grayish daylight leaked through a crack in the ceiling, falling across Lin Longyue's pale face and making her look all the more bloodless.

He ignored the filth and probed deeper into her body.
