Inside the Main Hall, Lin Longyue waited with a furrowed brow.

Yunhe Commandery and Yang Zhuri also shot occasional glances at the vermilion doors.

Just then, footsteps echoed from the side corridor.

The steps were unhurried—one heavy, one light.

Moments later, the old eunuch emerged from the passageway. Someone followed right behind him.
