Chapter 20: Why Fight Alone
The forest ahead looked as if a meteor had crashed into it, leaving behind a terrifying fan-shaped crater on the ground. Countless trees were still burning with lingering flames, and the air was thick with a pungent, scorched smell.
She also noticed the broken doll fragments scattered around. From the delicate skirt edges that hadn’t yet been burned to charcoal, these were the “troublesome ones” Airwen had mentioned.
Was it this girl who had fought alone deep into this forest, even defeating that dangerous species monster, the “Maid Head”?
Su Fang couldn’t help but sharply inhale the hot air. “Whoa… that’s incredible…”
Her gaze fell on the girl standing in the center of that scorched earth.
She was a crimson-haired magical girl wearing a spirit outfit woven from scarlet and pure white, wielding a strange microphone-like staff.
With her back turned to them, lingering heat still twisted the air around her, making her look like a valkyrie who had just stepped out of the inferno.
Su Fang’s throat moved up and down as she quickly hurried forward, calling out with concern in her voice, “Um… Senior!”
“Are you okay?”
