Chapter 399: Returning To Sector S
When Samburt left the house to exercise his old bones a little, he saw the trio and wore an odd look on his face.
He would not be weirded out if it was a beautiful young woman who was using Wheeze as a pillow, but no, it was a man with a thick beard. To say it felt weird would be an understatement. Just last night, he had suggested to Pian Huo that she should shave her beard because it would make her look more youthful and vigorous. However, Pian Huo had ignored the advice and changed the topic.
At the time, Pian Huo was thinking: Are you kidding me? Do you know how much time and effort it took to create this disguise? No way I’m going to shave it until the end of this mission!
To be fair, a beard was perfect for disguising one’s face and altering one’s aura. It was also fairly easy and quick to put on—or at least, that was what she believed. That was why Pian Huo always put on some facial hair every time she donned a disguise.
While Samburt was observing the strange trio, one of his subordinates came over and whispered, “He’s gone, sir.”
The subordinate was talking about Czedow. Samburt trusted Pian Huo more than Cillin because of the young man’s affiliation with Yu Linglong. In fact, Samburt was on his toes whenever the Yu Family was involved. Even if Cillin had saved his life, he could not help but be on his guard. This was especially true after he witnessed what his companion, Czedow was capable of.
Cillin said that he and Czedow were the only ones who came, but right now Cillin was here, and Czedow was nowhere to be found. They had everything they could possibly need—food, medical supplies and so on—already, so why did Czedow leave?
Samburt gave his subordinate a small nod to indicate that he had received his message.
Samburt’s bodyguards recovered very quickly after receiving medical treatment. It was inevitable that those working in this line possessed much better constitution than most. Trust wasn’t the only reason Samburt had made them his personal bodyguards.
