Chapter 47: Changing the Destined Death

Ansu vividly described the events that had just unfolded to Vera, much like how their foster father used to tell them stories when they were children.
Listening to the thrilling process of capturing Archbishop Terry, Vera's expression shifted between shock and fear.
She hopped onto the sofa where Ansu was sitting, huddling close to her brother, "So your boss is actually that amazing! It's a good thing you brought her along this time, or that evil archbishop would have definitely killed you all to keep you quiet!"
"Yeah... the boss is quite impressive," Ansu nodded silently. "But don't worry too much; Archbishop Paul and Freya are also very capable people."
"How could I not worry!" Vera patted her small chest in lingering fear. "Brother! The missions you're carrying out are far too dangerous. You've only just joined that official organization, yet you're already risking your life like this. If I had known, I would have stopped you that day no matter what!"
"There's no medicine for regret in this world," Ansu said with a smile. "Besides, missions like this don't happen all the time. After today, things should be peaceful for a good while."
Having finally captured Archbishop Terry after several attempts, the tragedy on tomorrow's Open Day would not happen. Ansu finally didn't have to worry about his destined death anymore...
"How about..." Vera shook Ansu's arm, asking cautiously, "Brother, why don't you take me with you next time?"
