These Eldritch Hips – (Modbased)Litrpg

67. New scales

Thoughts. There were a lot of thoughts, that Celia had on what her hive of minds had to say. None of which were easy to categorize. But if she were to try, she was pretty sure she'd put them in a bin labeled mostly bad. For what good could come from being anathema to a whole realm of existence?

She was pretty sure the answer was none. Though, considering how chaotic the Beyond was, it couldn't all be downsides. Even if she couldn't think of any upsides at the current moment.

But either way, there wasn't anything she could do about it. Her fate, as it were, was somewhat sealed in regards to this. No matter how badly she wished it wasn't. For when was it that the whims of the realms cared about those within it?

Existential dread aside, she was, at the very least, a whole lot stronger now. She wasn't sure by how much, but that wasn't new. Nor was what she needed to do next.

Regroup with her little band of allies and get out of here. Her allies who were all conveniently gone already. A small boon in hindsight considering the prior state of her rampage. She doubted she would've been able to tell friend from foe then.

Regardless of her ability to discern, she was done here. Done with E-10. And done with this forest. So, before it could decide to throw anything else at her, she made a hasty retreat. Slithering away as fast as she could. Which wasn't very.

Both because she was bigger than a tram from back home now - an achievement that once again left her feeling conflicted - and she was very much not used to slithering yet. Making the end result something more akin to someone doing the worm to move.

And doing it badly too.

Still, she persevered, exiting the arena that had become of E-10's lair before anything else got the smart idea of attacking her.

A thought that pulled a greedy growl from the surprisingly deep depths of her stomach. A stomach that she realized was already pawing at her senses, and begging for more.

Celia obliged it. Feasting on the essence of whatever creatures she could manage to get her mitts on. And even some she couldn't. Sending her small army of snakes to go out in search of prey. Prey that they would sneak up on, bite and begin to drain the essence away and all the way towards her.

An effect that, when multiplied by the hundreds of serpents at her disposal kept her well fed indeed. More than that, the effect only became more potent over time.

The essence siphoned away and into her caused her body to regenerate. The scales she sacrificed in the initial creation of her brood returned once again unto her. Only for her to sacrifice them once more and again, causing the size of her little army of serpents to rapidly increase in scale.

Which increased the speed at which they drained essence. Which further increased the speed that she created more and more of them. An exponential cycle that, within only half an hour, saw her a whole five feet longer and considerably heavier. So much so that she was almost afraid to even glance behind her and confirm how much damage had been done to her backside.

One of her little serpents did so for her. A vivid image of her scaled rump transferred directly to her mind.

And what she saw was rather massive. Like she had two black and white hills sitting behind her. Though, most hills weren't nearly so... Jiggly. Or soft. Or made her feel certain things when she accidentally squeezed them with her extra arms.

Budding budding horniness aside, Celia felt that she was growing too fast. As, in the time it took her to confirm the size of her still jiggling backside, she had gained another foot in length. Not only that, but her stomach - stomachs? She wasn't sure how many she had anymore - was starting to feel somewhat full.

So, with a thought, she commanded all her snaky minions to cease their feasting. And then she immediately stopped making more of them. Willing the skill that was responsible for doing so to stop.

And with that out of the way, she started slithering back to the only place she could think of where her allies would go after a battle like that.

Back up the dragon they flew in on.

Celia arrived at Sel'ci's location like a black omen. Her shadow cast from the treeline and onto the assembled Beyondlings below. A shadow that was, altogether too large to have belonged to the her from before the battle. In fact, it was a shadow too large to have belonged to her from an hour ago.

Celia, despite her attempts at showing restraint, had feasted on the local fauna on her way here. Falling upon them like a living plague. A disaster given flesh. And her all indulging showed, for she had managed to break into the range of being forty feat long.

And such length had come with ever more room to glut herself with essence. Which her hive mind of minds was all too eager to do. Even after she had repeatedly ordered them not to.

A command they had only acquiesced to a good thirty minutes ago. Right around the time Celia's breasts had managed to grow larger than her head. Which was the only point of growth she was pleased with. Officially that is. Though, there was some part of her - some deeply horny part of her - that was immensely pleased with just about all of her growth.

That jiggled with delight at the softness of her frame. That salivated at the idea of her already moon shaming rump getting bigger. That absolutely delighted in the prospect of her hips getting ever wider. A part of her that just wanted more of her.

A part of her that, sadly, most of her minds had chosen to embrace. Randomly highjacking one, or both, sets of her arms at times to squeeze herself.

Which they thankfully weren't doing at the moment.

No, Celia was in full control of herself right now. And right now, she was kinda worried she'd fall. Both because she was very, very heavy, and it was a somewhat steep incline down.

She also didn't have toes to grip the ground anymore, or legs to put her trust in. What she did have however was the urging of a hundred minds trying to reassure her. A number of them pointing out the fact that regular snakes were capable of climbing trees. And she could also use her morphology skill to just grow a pair of wings.

Or seven.

Suggestions and suggestions that she ignored. Choosing instead to call upon the truest council she had. That of her more distinct selves.

Even if you did fall, I don't think it'd hurt you much. Or at all, really. Discipline wisely pointed out.

Why is this even an issue? Vice asked, seeming genuinely confused.

Paradox didn't even bother answering. And the last of her more unique selves, whom Celia had decided to name Anathema, was the last to answer. Taking a moment of pensive silence to consider her reply.

Am... Am I stupid?

Celia chose to ignore that. And eventually, after several more minutes of internal debating, decided to slither down.

To her mild surprise, her bottommost scales held a better grip on the ground than her feet used to. And in the end her trip down to the camp was, ultimately, uneventful.

Her arrival into the camp, however, was not.

A number of Haet's crew, who definitely hadn't seen her transformation, reacted to her presence with either shock or fear. With a majority leaning towards the latter. The scent of which painted itself over the camp like a morning fog.

Celia hated how her instincts immediately marked all of them as potential prey.

It marked one as a true threat, though. And that was Haet, who approached her with a casual yet curious gait. Eyes scanning her up and down.

"Always give Haet questions."

Celia couldn't help but agree.
